Description
Luminaire with a luminaire housing whose upper housing part and lower housing part are hinge-like on one side and releasably connected to one another on the opposite side.
Such luminaire housings not only enclose the lamp sockets and lamps, but also their ballasts and the wiring. Next lights are known whose lamps or Lampenfassun conditions are supported on the outside of the ballasts on receiving lamp housing.
In order to be able to maintain these ballasts, it is necessary to open the elongated lamp housing around its longitudinal edge or to completely separate the upper housing part from the lower housing part.
In the case of two-part luminaire housings, the upper part of which is made of metal or plastic and the lower part of which is made of metal, opaque plastic or a translucent plastic, hinges made of metal or plastic can be attached to one long side of the luminaire housing, around which the lower part of the housing can be folded down from the upper part of the housing can. On the opposite side of the hinges of such lights housing you care to attach fasteners such as toggle locks or latches, which are used to easily mount this housing edge.
All such lamp housings have in common that they are made up of two separate housing parts, namely an upper housing part and a lower housing part, which are held together by several additional hinges and detachable fastening elements.
The invention relates to a luminaire with a luminaire housing whose upper housing part and lower housing part are connected to one another in a hinge-like manner on one side and releasably connected to one another on the opposite side. According to the invention, an improvement is achieved in that a plastic strip made of flexible material is used for the hinge-like connection.
The luminaire according to the invention has, instead of several hinges, each composed of several components, usually unprotected against moisture and aggressive vapors, a single, one-piece hinge made of a flexible plastic strip, protected against aggressive atmospheres,
which does not require any maintenance. This strip can act as a seal along its entire length.
This plastic strip is expediently formed by the edges adjoining one another on a longitudinal side of an upper housing part and a lower housing part made of plastic. In this case, the luminaire housing with its hinge strip
in a single operation, e.g. B. by injection. There is also the possibility, in the same operation, the required releasable bracket union funds, z. B. latchable deformations of the hinge opposite edges of the upper housing part and lower housing part as well as a circumferential sealing strip at the same time with the luminaire housing to form, in particular to inject.
In the manner described, a substantial simplification of the structure and manufacture of lamp housings can be achieved.
Several exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing. They each show in a vertical cross section: FIG. 1 a lamp according to the invention with plastic hinge strips fastened in grooves in the lamp housing, FIG. 2 a lamp according to the invention with plastic hinge strips formed by the edges of the housing itself, FIG. 3 a lamp with a mounting rail for the built-in parts, FIG. 4 a lamp with inner ribs for locking the ballasts,
Fig. 5 shows a lamp with a stiffening rail, Fig. 6 shows a lamp with a sealing strip formed on the upper housing part, Fig. 7 shows a lamp with a two-part metallic housing and Fig. 8 shows a lamp housing with a lid-shaped upper housing part.
The lamp shown in Fig. 1 has a ballast, preferably the choke coil 3, and the wiring receiving lamp housing, the housing upper part 1 and housing lower part 2 are hinged on one long side and releasably connected on the opposite side. On the outside of the lower housing part 2 lamp sockets 4 are attached.
According to the invention, a plastic strip 5 made of flexible material is used for the hinge-like connection between the upper housing part 1 and the lower housing part 2. This plastic strip 5 expediently has a groove 6 running along the hinge axis. This groove 6 allows the lower part of the housing 2 to be folded away more easily from the upper part of the housing 1, the axis of rotation always being at the same kink. The plastic strip 5 is advantageous in a respective edge groove 7, 8 of the less flexible plastic, for. B. polyester, manufactured upper housing part 1 and lower housing part 2 be strengthened.
The plastic strip 5 can be molded, glued or pressed into the edge grooves 7, 8. Preferably, the opposite edges of the upper housing part 1 and the lower housing part 2 on the releasable side of the lamp housing have deformations 8, 10, which engage each other when the upper housing part 1 and lower housing part 2 are in contact. 9 is an elastic edge strip of the upper housing part 1 and 10 is an edge groove of the lower housing part 2.
The releasable closure is achieved by elastic deflection of the edge strip 9. Conveniently, a groove 14 is formed in a umlau Fenden inner projection 13 of the upper housing part 1, into which a sealing strip 18 is placed. This sealing strip 18 finds a counter-position on an inner projection 24 of the lower housing part 2 running around.
In the shown in Fig. 2, the Fig. 1 Chen lamp with external sockets 4 is conveniently the plastic strip 15 formed by the adjacent edges of the plastic housing upper part 11 and the lower housing part 12 on one longitudinal side.
The groove 16 of the plastic strip 15 running along the hinge axis advantageously merges into a groove 17 which is formed in a circumferential projection 20 of the upper housing part 11. In the groove 17 to a running tubular sealing strip 23 is inserted. The lower housing part 12 expediently has an inwardly cranked edge with a hook-shaped protrusion 19 which latches in the operating position on the inner protrusion 20 of the upper housing part 11.
3 shows a lamp with a closed lamp housing containing all the ballasts, the wiring and the sockets, which can be made of clear plastic. A metallic rail 27 serves as a carrier and to cover the built-in parts.
The plastic strip 25 used as a hinge-like connection with the groove 26 running along the hinge axis is formed by the edges of the upper housing part 21 and the lower housing part 22 which merge into one another on one longitudinal side. A sealing strip 28 is advantageously aasgeformt on the inside of the upper housing part 21 made of plastic, which has the shape of a lip.
On the detachable side of this luminaire housing, the edge of the upper housing part 21 is cranked outwards and has one or more hook-shaped projections 29 on which the outwardly angled edge 30 of the lower housing part 22, introduced below the sealing strip 28, engages.
The Liche closed lamp according to FIG. 4 similar to the embodiment of FIG. 4 has a two-colored lamp housing that can be clouded at the top and at the bottom clear or transparent on all sides. The hinge-like plastic strip 35 formed on a longitudinal seat from the merging edges of the upper housing part 31 and the lower housing part 32 is seen along the hinge axis with the groove 36 ver.
On the opposite longitudinal side, projections 39 of the lower housing part 32 snap into a groove 40 of the angled edge of the upper housing part 31. The circumferential sealing strip 38 is appropriately molded in the form of an elastic lip on the edge of the lower housing part 32, for example by injection molding. Before geous are molded on the inside of the upper housing part 31 ribs 37, on which the electrical A components, in particular the throttles 33, by snapping behind projections 34 are held.
The closed plastic lamp according to FIG. 5 with its hinge-like plastic strip 45 and its groove 46 contains a mounting rail 47 which stiffens the upper housing part 41. Advantageously, the sealing strip 43 in extension of the side walls of the lower housing part 42 is conically shaped in such a way that it forms a seal against the inside of the upper part of the housing sets. Lugs 49 of the upper housing part 41 latch into recesses 50 of the lower housing part 42.
The closed plastic lamp according to FIG. 6 also has a hinge-like flexible plastic strip 55 with a groove 56 and a stiffening rail 57 as well as vefastenden edge projections 59, 60. The sealing strip 53 is expediently formed in an extension of the side walls of the upper housing part 51 and is supported sealing on the inside of the lower housing part 52.
The luminaire according to the invention according to FIG. 7 has a two-part luminaire housing with external lamp sockets 64. The hinge-like flexible plastic strip 65 preferably has two pressure lips 63, 66 and is unbuttoned on the opposite edges of the housing upper part 61 and housing lower part 62, which are made for example from plastic-coated sheet metal .
Furthermore, a second plastic strip 69, which is opposite the first plastic strip 65 and is provided with projections 67, 68, is fastened to the upper housing part 61 and latched to the edge of the lower housing part 62 by means of a projection 70. After releasing the latching, the upper housing part 61 and the lower housing part 62 can be folded away from one another.
Finally, FIG. 8 shows a plastic luminaire housing with a rectangular cross section, the trough-shaped lower housing part 72 of which is closed by a cover-shaped upper housing part 71. Again, the hinge-like is pliable. Plastic strip 75 with its groove 76 from the merging of the edges of the upper housing part 71 and lower housing part 72 is formed.
On the second longitudinal side of the upper housing part 71 there are one or more locking points 73 with reduced wall thickness, on the upper side of which a gripping lug 74 and on the lower side of which a latching cam 77 is formed. In the closed position, this latching lug 77 engages under a hook-shaped projection 78 of the lower housing part 72. The upper housing part 71 can be opened by pulling the gripping lug 74 in the direction of its longitudinal edge, which causes the latching lug to move under the effect of the membrane at the locking point 73 77 from before jump 78 releases.
