Description
Automatic lathe In the multi-spindle automatic lathes produced up to now, the tools necessary for machining the parts move, while the corresponding headstocks are fixed, which limits the possibilities of the machine, in particular for the machining of parts. small diameter.
The present invention proposes to remedy this drawback and relates to an automatic lathe comprising at least one frame element in which is rotatably mounted a headstock, an adjustable guide bush, the material to be machined, a carrier. -vertical tool and a horizontal tool holder.
It is characterized by the fact that the frame comprises at least two series of these four elements, mounted in parallel, each of said bar-carrying stubs being slidably mounted in said frame element and having means allowing its longitudinal displacement.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the present invention.
The single figure is a schematic elevation of a two-spindle automatic lathe.
The dolls 1, 1 'are mounted to slide in an element 2 of the frame 10 and supporting the bars to be machined 3, 3'. The slide can be produced, for example, on two cylindrical, ball or roller bars.
Means not shown in the drawing make it possible to advance either all of the dolls or each doll separately. These means can be constituted by a cam, hydraulic or electronic control.
The lathe also includes guide bushes placed in the chisel-holder support 4, which guns can be either fixed or rotating, for machining a profiled bar. The guns rotate around axis 5, driven step by step during the rotation of all the headstocks, for the change of operations.
The vertical tool holders 6 are equal in number to that of the headstocks and their advance is controlled by cam or by electronic or hydraulic means. The horizontal tool holders 7 are part of an element 8 of the frame 10. They are equipped with drilling and tapping spindles, fixed or rotating, in a number equal to that of the headstocks. The tools 9, 9 ', arranged at the end of the bars to be machined 3, 3', are used for centering, tapping and drilling operations.
In a variant not shown in the drawing, an automatic bar loader can be adjusted on element 2 of frame 10, which allows the lathe to work continuously, thanks to the headstock feed means.
