Description

Regulating set with sprung balance for clockwork movement
It has already been proposed to do away with the eyebolt generally used for fixing the outer end of the hairspring in a spring-balance regulating assembly, the eyebolt being replaced by a bent part of the cock or a curved tab having a cylindrical hole intended to receive the end of the hairspring. It has also been proposed to fix this hairspring to the rooster by gluing.
It has also been proposed to bring the outer end of the hairspring over the body of the latter, this end being straight and held in a tenon forming part of a racket.
As for the inner end of the hairspring, it has always been so far located in the plane of the hairspring and fixed to the axis by means of a ferrule or on a bearing surface of the shaft serving as a ferrule.
The present invention aims to further simplify these constructions.
It relates to a regulating assembly with a spiral balance for a clockwork movement, in which the balance-spring extends in a plane characterized by the fact that at least one of the ends of the balance-spring is bent perpendicular to the plane of the balance-spring and that it is fixed directly to the cock, respectively to the axis of the balance.
The outer end or the inner end, or both together, may be angled.
By bending the outer end of the hairspring, it is possible to remove the eyebolt, the angled part taking the place of the eyebolt, without it being furthermore necessary to bend the rooster or to cut and bend a tongue.
The end of the hairspring can be fixed to the cock by any suitable means, for example by clamping, gluing, screwing, welding or riveting. For this purpose, the rooster may have a slit or a hole for the passage of the bent end. The length of this end can be provided of sufficient length so that the hairspring can be fixed at a variable distance from the cock, the projecting part then being cut, this cutting taking place without running the risk of deforming the outer coil of the hairspring.
The length of the hairspring can of course no longer be done by cutting the outer coil, but when bending the hairspring.
The inner end of the hairspring may also be bent, alternately or simultaneously with the bending of the outer end. Bending the inner end perpendicular to the plane of the hairspring makes it possible in particular to fix the hairspring on the ferrule, the latter being previously driven out on the axis of the balance. It suffices in fact to provide a vertical hole or a notch in the ferrule intended to receive the vertical end of the hairspring when it is introduced onto the axis in a movement parallel to this axis.
Just as it is possible to completely eliminate the cock or any equivalent part, it is possible to eliminate the ferrule, the vertical part of the hairspring being able to be pinned, glued or welded or riveted directly to the axis.
In summary, the bending of the ends of the hairspring makes it possible to simplify the assembly of the hairspring to the balance axis and to the cock.
CLAIM
Spring-balance regulating assembly for a clockwork movement, in which the hairspring extends in a plane, characterized in that at least one end of the hairspring is bent perpendicular to the plane of the hairspring and that it is fixed directly to the cock, respectively to the axis of the balance.
