Safety button The subject of the invention is a safety button, which is characterized according to the invention by a button-shaped nut piece with a central neck and a plate-shaped counterpart whose pin is intended to be inseparably pressed through the material into a central hole in the neck, the end face of the neck forms a support surface for clamping the fabric between the neck and the counterpart.
The safety button according to the invention can be used for all types of clothing, tent sheets and the like. The buttons sewn on with machines have not proven themselves for this purpose, because edges can cut the thread, so that buttons often fall off within a short time before the goods are sold in the shops or when they are in use or hang on items of clothing with threads standing up.
An embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below. In the drawing: Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section through a safety button with a cylindrical neck, Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section through a safety button with a disc-shaped widened neck end.
The safety button has a button-shaped courage terstück 1 with a central neck 2 and an insertable in the bore 3, pin-like counterpart 4 with plate 5, the pin 6, once pressed into the bore 3 of the nut piece 1, is practically no longer separable.
To attach the safety button to a piece of fabric 8, the pin 6 with the tip 9 is pressed through the fabric 8 into the bore 3 of the neck 2 of the nut piece 1 in such a way that the substance 8 is clamped between the nut piece 1 and the counterpart 4 that the safety button adheres with constant strength, cleanly covered.
In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the neck 2 is widened in the shape of a disk at the lower end in order to provide more support and to cover it better (FIG. 2).
