Description
Appareil pour l'infusion de liquides dans un corps
Le brevet principal porte sur un appareil pour l'in- fusion de liquides tels que solutions physiologiques dans un corps, en particulier un corps humain. Cet appareil comprend un réservoir pour le liquide à infuser, un conduit reliant ce réservoir à un dispositif comptegouttes, un obturateur, cassable en un endroit déterminé, obturant ledit conduit, et un raccord reliant de manière détachable le conduit au dispositif compte-gouttes.
Pour pennettre le remplacement du réservoir pour le liquide à infuser, par un autre réservoir, sans retirer l'aiguille d'injection du corps dans lequel elle est plantée, I'appareil décrit dans ledit brevet principal est Ca- ractérisé en ce que son obturateur cassable est fixé dans l'extrémité du conduit raccordée au dispositif comptegouttes, et en ce que la partie dudit obturateur, libérable par la cassure, se trouve en amont de celle restant fixée au conduit.
I1 s'est avéré utile de pouvoir, au moment où une injection est pratiquée, soit mélanger au liquide contenu dans le réservoir soit dissoudre dans ce liquide, une matière supplémentaire.
Dans ce but, la présente invention a pour objet un appareil selon la revendication du brevet principal, caractérisé par la présence d'un deuxième obturateur cassable disposé en aval du dispositif compte-gouttes et par le fait que ce dispositif compte-gouttes est destiné à renfermer une matière supplémentaire à mélanger au liquide contenu dans le réservoir ou à dissoudre dans ce liquide, le tout de telle sorte que, d'une part, le premier obturateur ayant été cassé, le liquide contenu dans le réservoir puisse être chassé dans le dispositif comptegouttes pour se mélanger à ladite matière ou la dissoudre puis être renvoyé au moins en partie dans le réservoir et, d'autre part, le deuxième obturateur ayant été cassé, le mélange ou la solution liquide-matière supplémentaire puisse être infusé(e) dans un corps.
Pendant l'injection du mélange ou de la solution liquide-matière supplémentaire, dans un corps, le dispositif compte-gouttes, qui se trouve en partie rempli par ledit mélange ou ladite solution, fonctionne comme compte-gouttes, comme c'est le cas avec un appareil selon le brevet principal.
Un filtre peut être disposé à la sortie du dispositif compte-gouttes, afin de retenir les particules solides qui pourraient provenir d'impuretés contenues dans la matière supplémentaire et qui se trouveraient en suspension dans le liquide à injecter.
Pour que le dispositif compte-gouttes, en plus de sa fonction de compte-gouttes, puisse, avant cette fonction, renfermer une quantité suffisante de la matière supplémentaire, ce dispositif peut être plus grand que cela est nécessaire pour fonctionner uniquement comme comptegouttes.
Une forme d'exécution de l'appareil selon l'invention est représenttée, à titre d'exemple, au dessin annexé.

En référence à la fig. 1, l'appareil représenté comporte un réservoir 10, en matière plastique souple, destiné à contenir le liquide à infuser, par exemple une solution physiologique de chlorure de sodium, dé glucose. Ce réservoir présente une attache 1 1 venue de fa- brication avec lui, permettant de le suspendre. I1 est soudé à l'opposé de l'attache 1 1 à un conduit 12, également en matière plastique.
Ce conduit 12 renferme, à son extrémité opposée au réservoir 10, un obturateur 13; il est relié de manière détachable à un dispositif compte-gouttes 14 par un raccord 1S.
L'obturateur 13 et le raccord 15 sont décrits en détail et représentés à grande échelle dans l'exposé du brevet principal.
Le dispositif compte-gouttes 14 est plus grand que celui représenté à la fig. 1 du brevet principal. I1 renferme la matière supplémentaire 16. Celle-ci peut être solide ou liquide; elle peut par exemple être du paraamino-salicylate de sodium, de l'urée, etc. Le dispositif 14 est formé de deux coquilles 17 et 18 rigides, soudées l'une à l'autre par leurs bords, cette soudure étant renforcée par une bague 19. Les coquilles 17 et 18 sont fixées chacune, à leur extrémité libre, à un bouchon fileté 20 et respectivement 21, présentant un conduit central.
Le dispositif 14 est relié à un conduit souple 22, comme représenté en détail à la fig. 2. Une douille de serrage 23 est vissée sur la partie filetée du bouchon 21.
Un filtre 24, constitué par une pastille de toile de nylon, est maintenu entre l'extrémité du bouchon 21 et un épaulement 25, d'un deuxième obturateur 26 cassable en 27. Cet obturateur est semblable à l'obturateur 13. Le conduit souple 22 est fermement fixé à la partie évidée de l'obturateur 26, la liaison entre le dispositif 14 et le conduit 22 étant ainsi réalisée. - -
Le conduit 22 se prolonge par un tube 28 jusqu'à un organe d'injection 29 dont la partie essentielle est une aiguille d'injection (non visible à la fig. 1) et protégée avant usage par un capuchon élastique 30. Un dispositif de serrage 31 est monté sur le tube 28 et permet, par l'actionnement de sa molette 32, d'écraser plus ou moins le tube 28 et ainsi de régler le débit de l'écoulement du liquide à injecter dans ce tube.
Le remplissage partiel du dispositif 14 par la matière 16 a lieu par l'une des extrémités de ce dispositif avant que celle-ci ne soit fixée soit au conduit 12 soit au conduit 22.
Le fonctionnement de l'appareil qui vient d'être décrit est le suivant:
Avant de procéder à une injection, comme celle-ci est décrite en détail au brevet principal, on casse l'o b- turateur 13, et une partie du liquide contenu dans le réservoir 10 est chassée (par-compression du réservoir) dans le dispositif 14. La matière 16 se dissout ou se mélange au liquide chassé. La dissolution ou le mélange ainsi obtenu(e) est renvoyé(e) en partie ou en totalité dans le réservoir 10 en plaçant le dispositif 14 audessus du réservoir 10 et en laissant s'écouler le contenu du-dispositif 14 dans le réservoir 10. Les opérations cidessus sont répétées jusqu'à dissolution ou mélange complets de la matière 16 avec le liquide.
Ceci fait, on peut procéder à l'injection. Pour celle-ci, on suspend le réservoir par l'attache 1 1 et on laisse s'écouler un peu de liquide dans le dispositif 14. On casse alors le deuxième obturateur 26. Dès ce moment, le dispositif 14 fonctionne comme compte-gouttes et les opérations qui restent à effectuer sont celles décrites au brevet principal.
Le dispositif 14, au lieu d'être en une matière rigide, pourrait être souple, ce qui peut faciliter le renvoi de tout ou partie de son contenu dans le réservoir 10.
Apparatus for infusing liquids into a body
The main patent relates to an apparatus for the infusion of liquids such as physiological solutions into a body, in particular a human body. This apparatus comprises a reservoir for the liquid to be infused, a conduit connecting this reservoir to a dropper device, a shutter, breakable at a determined location, closing off said conduit, and a connector detachably connecting the conduit to the dropper device.
To allow the replacement of the reservoir for the liquid to be infused, by another reservoir, without removing the injection needle from the body in which it is planted, the apparatus described in said main patent is characterized in that its shutter breakable is fixed in the end of the conduit connected to the dropper device, and in that the part of said shutter, releasable by the break, is located upstream of that remaining fixed to the conduit.
It has proved useful to be able, at the time when an injection is performed, either to mix with the liquid contained in the reservoir or to dissolve in this liquid, an additional material.
To this end, the present invention relates to an apparatus according to the claim of the main patent, characterized by the presence of a second breakable shutter disposed downstream of the dropping device and by the fact that this dropping device is intended for contain an additional material to be mixed with the liquid contained in the reservoir or to be dissolved in this liquid, the whole in such a way that, on the one hand, the first shutter having been broken, the liquid contained in the reservoir can be expelled into the device dropper to mix with said material or to dissolve it and then to be returned at least in part to the tank and, on the other hand, the second stopper having been broken, the mixture or the additional liquid-material solution can be infused in a body.
During the injection of the mixture or of the additional liquid-material solution, into a body, the dropper device, which is partially filled with said mixture or said solution, functions as a dropper, as is the case with a device according to the main patent.
A filter can be placed at the outlet of the dropper device, in order to retain the solid particles which could come from impurities contained in the additional material and which would be in suspension in the liquid to be injected.
In order that the dropping device, in addition to its function of dropping, can, before this function, contain a sufficient quantity of the additional material, this device may be larger than necessary to function only as a dropper.
An embodiment of the apparatus according to the invention is shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing.

With reference to FIG. 1, the apparatus shown comprises a reservoir 10, made of flexible plastic material, intended to contain the liquid to be infused, for example a physiological solution of sodium chloride or glucose. This reservoir has an attachment 11 which has been manufactured with it, allowing it to be suspended. I1 is welded opposite the clip 1 1 to a duct 12, also made of plastic.
This duct 12 contains, at its end opposite the reservoir 10, a shutter 13; it is detachably connected to a dropper device 14 by a connector 1S.
The shutter 13 and the connector 15 are described in detail and shown on a large scale in the disclosure of the main patent.
The dropper device 14 is larger than that shown in FIG. 1 of the main patent. It contains the additional material 16. This can be solid or liquid; it may for example be sodium paraamino-salicylate, urea, etc. The device 14 is formed of two rigid shells 17 and 18, welded to each other by their edges, this weld being reinforced by a ring 19. The shells 17 and 18 are each fixed, at their free end, to a threaded plug 20 and 21 respectively, having a central duct.
The device 14 is connected to a flexible duct 22, as shown in detail in FIG. 2. A clamping sleeve 23 is screwed onto the threaded part of the plug 21.
A filter 24, consisting of a nylon fabric pellet, is held between the end of the plug 21 and a shoulder 25 of a second shutter 26 which can be broken into 27. This shutter is similar to the shutter 13. The flexible duct 22 is firmly fixed to the recessed part of the shutter 26, the connection between the device 14 and the duct 22 thus being achieved. - -
The conduit 22 is extended by a tube 28 to an injection member 29, the essential part of which is an injection needle (not visible in FIG. 1) and protected before use by an elastic cap 30. A release device. clamp 31 is mounted on the tube 28 and allows, by actuating its wheel 32, to more or less crush the tube 28 and thus to adjust the flow rate of the liquid to be injected into this tube.
Partial filling of the device 14 with the material 16 takes place via one of the ends of this device before the latter is fixed either to the duct 12 or to the duct 22.
The operation of the device which has just been described is as follows:
Before proceeding with an injection, as this is described in detail in the main patent, the builder 13 is broken, and part of the liquid contained in the reservoir 10 is expelled (by compression of the reservoir) in the gasket. device 14. The material 16 dissolves or mixes with the expelled liquid. The solution or the mixture thus obtained is returned in part or in whole to the reservoir 10 by placing the device 14 above the reservoir 10 and allowing the contents of the device 14 to flow into the reservoir 10. The above operations are repeated until complete dissolution or mixing of the material 16 with the liquid.
This done, we can proceed with the injection. For this, the reservoir is suspended by the clip 11 and a little liquid is allowed to flow into the device 14. The second shutter 26 is then broken. From this moment, the device 14 operates as a dropper. and the operations which remain to be carried out are those described in the main patent.
The device 14, instead of being made of a rigid material, could be flexible, which can facilitate the return of all or part of its content into the reservoir 10.
