Mirror cabinet
The present invention relates to a mirror cabinet in which the mirrors are associated with each of the doors, in particular for bathrooms, for toiletries.
Cabinets of this kind have been known for a long time. They are in the form of storage units, inside which shelving or shelves are distributed, and comprising on their front face a certain number of pivoting doors on the outside of which mirrors are mounted. In the most classic version, the cabinet has three pivoting doors, namely a central door and two side doors, each door carrying a mirror, the articulation of the two side doors being located near the frame of the central door, so that the two side doors being ajar, the set of mirrors can be used as a three-sided mirror.
Fig. 1 of the accompanying drawing represents a type of traditional construction. The cabinet body is referenced 1, the central door 2, the side doors 3a and 3b. The doors 3a and 3b being in the semi-open position, the set of mirrors 2 ', 3'a, 3'b constitutes, as can be seen in the figure, a three-sided mirror particularly useful for hairdressing and hairdressing. of the toilet in general.
Cabinets of the aforementioned type usually have a dimension, and in particular a width, adapted to that of the sinks above which they are generally mounted. As an indication, mirror cabinets for bathrooms thus have a width of about 1 meter. Under these conditions, the three-sided glass system that they allow to achieve does not give the user a satisfactory viewing angle, both by the small size of the central part (central door) and of the relatively low useful inclination that can be given to the side doors and their mirrors.
The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks by a particular mounting of the mirrors on certain doors of the cabinet and, preferably also, by a particular mounting of these doors on the frame of the cabinet itself.
More specifically, the present invention relates to a mirror cabinet in which the mirrors are associated with each of the doors, characterized in that at least one door comprises a frame, defining a frame and a mirror movable relative to the frame while at the same time being likely to come and lodge there when the door is closed.
In a first embodiment, the mirror is mounted to pivot with respect to the frame defining the door frame. In a second embodiment, the mirror is slidably mounted relative to this frame and can finally come into a fully deployed position.
In a preferred embodiment, the mirror cabinet has a central door and two side doors which both have a frame and a mirror movable relative to it.
Preferably then, the two side doors of the three-door cabinet are pivotally mounted at the two outer ends of the cabinet body, such that when their mirrors are deployed, all of the central mirror and side mirrors deployed forms an enveloping system of three mirrors spaced and oriented at approximately 600, one in relation to the others, giving the user facing the central mirror viewing angles that could not be obtained with previous devices (three rear quarters in particular).
The additional description which follows, with reference to the accompanying drawings, will make it easier to understand how the invention can be implemented.
In the accompanying drawings, FIG. 1 having already been defined, FIGS. 2, 3 and 4 represent respectively, in perspective, in front view, doors closed, and in front view, open doors, a mirror cabinet. This is indeed a preferred example but in no way limiting.
The cabinet shown includes two side doors, 3a and 3b. This structure makes it possible to place the doors and the mirrors associated with them 3'a and 3'b in an enveloping position in front of the central mirror 2 ', as can be seen in FIG. 1. For this purpose, each door such as 3a comprises a frame-frame, 10, pivotally mounted on the body 1, outside this body. The pivot axis 11-11 can be materialized by hinges, hinges, in general by all the articulation means known for porters.
The mirror 3'a is itself pivotally mounted about an axis 12-12 on the side of the frame 10, opposite the pivot axis 11-11.
The advantages of this arrangement are clear from the figures.
When the mirrors are folded into the frame and the frame-mirror assembly of each side door brought back towards the body 1, the cabinet appears (fig. 3) as a classic cabinet with three mirror doors.
When the side doors 3a and 3b, and the central door 2, are open (fig. 4), due to the articulation of the side doors outside the cabinet body, the accessible interior volume is transversely enlarged. on the one hand, compared to conventional arrangements, as can be seen very clearly in FIG. 4.
Finally, and above all (fig. 2), the possibility of deploying the side mirrors 3'a and 3'b makes it possible to achieve, in
cooperation with the central mirror 2 ', a whole
three-sided ice loppant particularly suitable
well in the care of the toilet and the hairdressing.
