Height adjustment device for pieces of furniture
The invention relates to a height compensation device for pieces of furniture provided with a base. Such a height adjustment device is used, for. B. to avoid the laborious underlay of plinths in furniture to straighten the same.

There are already height adjustment devices for pieces of furniture known which have a bracket attached to the piece of furniture and a threaded sleeve extending downward from this, in which a tool such. B. a crank rotatable, protruding through an opening in the bottom of the piece of furniture threaded spindle is screwed, which carries a support bearing at its lower end. By turning the threaded spindle, the distance between the floor of the piece of furniture and the floor can be adjusted and the piece of furniture can be straightened.

However, known height compensation devices of this type have numerous disadvantages. In a known height compensation device, for example, the foot is weakened and the threaded spindles protrude into the cabinet, which hinders the placing of objects on the cabinet floor and can give rise to injuries. Furthermore, with known height adjustment devices, there is a risk of the floor board breaking out when arranged in boards made of non-grown wood and it is difficult to adjust the setting by turning the threaded sleeve.

The present invention has set itself the task of avoiding these disadvantages and of creating a height compensation device of the type mentioned above, which allows a secure support of the piece of furniture without damaging parts thereof and ensures easy adjustability. The invention consists in the fact that the holder has the shape of an angle piece, with one leg protruding downward from the base and the other, horizontal leg attached to the bottom of the piece of furniture via a counter-plate resting on its inside.

With such a height compensation device, the load is distributed over two mutually perpendicular planes, with the floor of the piece of furniture also being clamped between the horizontal leg and the counter plate, so that perfect power transmission is guaranteed even with heavy loads and there is no risk of damage to the piece of furniture consists. Furthermore, such a height compensation device can be operated in a simple manner.

In the drawing, the invention is illustrated schematically on the basis of an exemplary embodiment, which represents a height compensation device attached to a piece of furniture in section.

The height compensation device shown consists of a holder 5, from which a threaded sleeve 5 'extends downward, into which a threaded spindle 4 is screwed. The threaded spindle 4 is mounted in a support bearing 7 at its lower end. At its upper end, the threaded spindle 4 protrudes into the base 1 of the piece of furniture and has an engagement surface 6 for a crank 12 or the like.

The bracket 5 has the shape of an angle piece, with one downward leg 13 of the angle piece being attached to a base 2 of the piece of furniture by means of screws 14, while the other, horizontal leg 13 'is connected to the bottom 1 of the piece of furniture. For this purpose, a counter plate 10 is arranged on the inside of the bottom 1, which is connected to the horizontal leg 13 'of the holder 5 via screws 9, so that the bottom 1 of the piece of furniture is clamped between this horizontal leg 13' and the counter plate 10.

As a result, the load from the threaded spindle 4 is distributed both on the horizontal floor 1 and on the vertical base 2 and the floor 1 is also supported by the horizontal leg 13 'of the bracket 5 and the counter plate 10 in such a way that the Wood is definitely avoided.

The support flange 7 expediently has a rectangular shape, which prevents the support flange from rotating when the threaded spindle 4 is actuated.

The threaded spindle 4 is dimensioned so that its upper end, which has the contact surface 6 for the crank 12, is between the horizontal leg 13 'and the counter plate 10 and therefore does not protrude into the interior of the piece of furniture. The support flange 7 is secured against falling off the threaded spindle 4 by a split pin 8.
