Description

Web link for tire chains The invention relates to a web link for tire chains, with on the side facing away from the tire contact side in front of, in the web longitudinal direction one behind the other angeord Neten, the bottom tread forming cleats that have to Bo denlauffläche towards each other inclined end faces.

The invention is based on the object of designing a web member of this type in such a way that it is particularly suitable for tire protection chains of large vehicles with a high level of grip.

According to the invention, this is achieved in that the studs - viewed in the longitudinal direction of the web - are approximately trapezoidal, the bottom contact surface being narrower than the greatest distance between the side surfaces of the link body.

To reduce the surface pressure, all studs can have the same height, so that the axle load of the motor vehicle is essentially transferred from all studs of the web member to the roadway.

The side surfaces of the studs can expediently be inclined to one another at an angle of approximately 90, which results in great stability of the web member. Appropriately, the base width of the cleats is more than three times the width of the floor running surface.

The fact that the studs have surfaces that are inclined towards one another on all sides towards the bottom running surface results in a large case-hardened surface, so that the service life of the bar link is increased. If the studs are worn down, there are hardened surfaces between the transition points of the studs in the link body, so that the web member still has a relatively high resistance to wear.

After the studs are worn out, the web link can also have a relatively good grip if the link body has side surfaces running towards one another to the preferably rounded tire contact surface, since in this case, after the studs have worn, the bottom surface with the side surfaces has sharp edges forms.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing voltages, which represents an embodiment. The following are shown in: FIG. 1 a view of a bar link, FIG. 2 a section along line II-II in FIG. 1, FIG. 3 a view from below of the bar link according to FIG. 1.

As FIGS. 1 to 3 show, the web link 1 a has a plate-shaped or web-shaped link body 2a, on the running side of which four points 3a, 4a are arranged one behind the other in the web longitudinal direction arrow 5a. The web member 1 a is both symmetrical to its longitudinal center plane 6a and symmetrical to its right perpendicular to it plane 7a.

The side surfaces 12a of both the two middle studs 6a and the two outer studs 3a are inclined towards the bottom running surfaces 11a, 13a at an angle of 90, with the running surfaces 11a, 13a of all studs lying in a common plane.

The end faces 17a of the middle lugs 4a run towards the bottom running surfaces 13a at an acute angle towards one another, the end faces 10 of the outer lugs 3a opposite these end faces 17a running away from the end faces 17a at an acute angle towards the running side of the link. The outer end faces 10b of the outer lugs 3a are formed by quarter-circular Abrun connections 10b, which merge into the end faces 9a of the link body 2a.

The side surfaces 8a of the link body 2a are inclined towards one another at an acute angle towards the tire contact surface 19a, the greatest distance between the side surfaces 8a from one another in the transition region into the cleats 3a, 4a corresponding to their base width. The side surfaces 8a therefore go over sharp, ie. H. Kan th 26 formed by surfaces at an acute angle to one another into the bottom surfaces of the gaps 25. The tire contact surface 19a is - in cross section according to FIG. 4 - rounded off in the shape of a partial circle.

Roundings 27 are also provided at the transitions between the end faces 9a and the side surfaces 8a, these roundings 27 extending from the outer lugs 3a into the partially circular rounded tire contact surface 19a.

The side surface of the separating web 28 located between the chain link openings 23a also merge continuously into the tire contact surface 19a. The front surfaces 9a of the link body 2a go over strong, quarter-circle roundings 24a in the tire contact surface 19a.

The bar link described has a good gripping effect and lateral stability when used on white surfaces.
