Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung neuer Oxazolidindione Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Herstellung neuer 3-(3,5-Dichlorphenyl)- oxazolidin-2,4-dione der Formel

K welcher R1 und R2 jeweils Wasserstoff oder eine Alkyl gruppe mit 1-5 Kohlenstoffatomen bedeuten. Darunter fallen z. B. Methylgruppen, Äthylgruppen, Propylgrup- pen usw.
Es sind bereits viele Verbindungen bekannt, wel cher in Bezug auf die Strukturformeln den obigen Oxa- zolidindionen ähneln. Solche Verbindungen zeigen eine gewisse fungizide Wirkung, doch ist deren Wirkungs grad dass sie sich für die Praxis nicht eignen. Es wurde nun überraschenderweise festgestellt, dass die Oxazolidindione der obigen Former I eine sehr starke fungizide Wirkung gegen phytopathogene Pilze zeigen. Es wurde auch festgestellt, dass die fungizide Wirkung sich auf eine Vielzahl von phyto-pathogenen Pilzen erstreckt. Es wurde ferner festgestellt, dass die Oxazolidindione der Formel I keine Phytotoxizität bei Indwirtschaftlichen Nutzpflanzen verursachen, sofern sie in einer solchen Menge appliziert werden, welche in der Praxis eine fungizide Wirkung verursacht.
Ferner wurde festgestellt, dass die Oxazolidindione der Formel I eine äusserst geringe Toxizität in Bezug auf Säuge tiere und Fische zeigen.
Bereits wurde erwähnt, dass die fungizide Wirkung von Oxazolidindionen der Formel I gegen verschiedene phytopathogene Pilze wesentlich höher ist als jene von chemisch-strukturell verwandten Verbindungen. Dem zufolge eignen sie sich für die Bekämpfung von Pflan zenkrankheiten, wie z. B. Sclerotiniafäule, Rhizoctonia- fäule und Botrytisgrauschimmel von Gemüsen und landwirtschaftlichen Nutzpflanzen, sowie von Brusone- Krankheiten, Braunblattflecken und Reisblattscheiden brand. And ausgedrückt, eignen sie sich als Wirksub stanzen für fungizide Präparate für landwirtschaftliche Zwecke, z.
B. gegen Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Thizocto- nia solani, Botrytis cinera, Piricularia oryzae, Cochlio- bolus miyabeanus und Pellicularia sasaki.
Das erfindungsgemässe Verfahren besteht darin, dass man 3,5-Dichlorphenyl-isocyanat in Gegenwart eines tertiären Amins mit einem entsprechenden a- Hydroxyalkancarbonsäurealkylester umsetzt.
Als tertiäres Amin kann man z. B. Trimethylamin, Triäthylamin, Tripropylamin, 1-Methylpiperidin, Pyri- din, Picolin, Lutidin, nötigenfalls in einem organischen Lösungsmittel, wie z. B. Benzol oder Toluol, verwen den. Die Umsetzung verläuft im allgemeinen bei einer Temperatur im Bereiche der Zimmertemperatur bis zur Rückflusstemperatur und dies innerhalb von ca. 8 Stun den.
Das eine Ausgangsprodukt, nämlich 3,5-Dichlor- phenyl-isocyanat, kann dadurch erhalten werden, dass man 3,5-Dichloranilin mit Phosgen umsetzt. Das an dere Ausgangsmaterial, nämlich die Alkyl-α-hydroxyal- kanoate, z. B.
Methylglycolat, Äthylglycolat, Propylglycolat, Isopropylglycolat, Methyllactat, Äthyllactat, Propyllactat, Isopropyllactat, Methyl-α-hydroxybutyrat, Äthyl-α-hydroxybutyrat, Propyl-α-hydroxybutyrat, Isopropyl-α-hydroxybutyrat, Methyl-α-hydroxyisobutyrat, Propyl-α-hydroxyisobutyrat oder Äthyl-α-hydroxyisobutyrat, Isopropyl-α-hydroxyisobutyrat, können dadurch erhalten werden, dass man ein a- Hydroxyalkannitril mit einem Alkanol in Gegenwart von Chlorwasserstoff umsetzt und hierauf den erhalte nen Imidäther hydrolysiert (vgl. Chemical Abstracts, Band 50,<B>9291 (1956 .</B>
<I>Beispiel l</I> Zu einer Lösung von 18,8 g 3,5-Dichlorphenyliso- cyanat in 300 cm3 Benzol gibt man bei Zimmertempe ratur 10,4 g Äthylglycolat hinzu. Das erzielte Gemisch wird auf 0 C gekühlt und tropfenweise mit einer Mischung von 0,15 g Triäthylamin und 10 g Benzol versetzt. Das erzielte Gemisch wird während 2 Stunden bei einer zwischen Zimmertemperatur und 0 C liegen den Temperatur gerührt und hierauf unter Rückfluss während 4 Stunden erhitzt. Nach dem Kühlen wird das Reaktionsgemisch mit 2%iger wässriger Salzsäure ge waschen, über wasserfreiem Natriumsulfat getrocknet und eingeengt.
Der Rückstand wird mit Petroläther gewaschen, wobei man 3-(3,5-Dichlorphenyl)-oxazoli- din-2,4-dion (22,6 g) als weisses Produkt vom Schmelzpunkt 158-159 C erhält.
<I>Beispiel 2</I> Zu einer Mischung von 18,8 g 3,5-Dichlorphenyl- isocyanat, 13,1 g Isopropyl-lactat und 300 cm3 Benzol gibt man ein Lösung von 0,15 g Pyridin in 10 cm3 Benzol bei Zimmertemperatur hinzu und. erhitzt das er zielte Gemisch unter Rückfluss während 6 Stunden.
Das Reaktionsgemisch wird dann wie in Beispiel 1 be handelt, wobei man 3-(3,5-Dichlorphenyl)-5- methyloxazolidin-2,4-dion (23,4 g) vom Schmelzpunkt 123-124,5 C erhält. <I>Beispiel 3</I> Zu einer Mischung von 11,8 g Methyl-α-hydroxy isobutyrat, 0,l5 g N-Methylpiperidin und 10cm3 Ben zol gibt man tropfenweise eine Lösung von 18,8 g 3,5- Dichlorphenyl-isocyanat in 300 cm3 Benzol bei einer Temperatur von 0-10 C hinzu und erhitzt das erzielte Gemisch unter Rückfluss während 8 Stunden.
Das Reaktionsgemisch wird hierauf in der in Beispiel 1 be schriebenen Weise behandelt, wobei man 3-(3,5-Dichlorphenyl)-5,5- dimethyloxazolidin-2,4-dion (25,8 g) vom Schmelzpunkt 167-168 C erhält.
<I>Beispiel 4</I> Zu einer Lösung von 18,8 g 3,5-Dichlorphenyl-iso- cyanat in 300 cm3 Toluol, welche auf 0-10 C gehal ten wird, gibt man eine Lösung von 14,6 g Propyl- α-hydroxybutyrat und 0,2 g Tripropylamin in 10 cm3 Toluol tropfenweise hinzu.
Das erzielte Gemisch wird dann während 6 Stunden auf 80-90 C unter Rühren erhitzt. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird hierauf in der in Beispiel 1 beschriebenen Weise behandelt, wobei man 3-(3,5-Dichlorphenyl)-5- äthyloxazolidin-2,4-dion (24,9 g) vom Schmelzpunkt 141-141,5 C erhält.
Claims (1)
- PATENTANSPRUCH Verfahren zur Herstellung von Oxazolidindionen der Formel EMI0002.0042 worin R1 und R2 jeweils ein Wasserstoffatom oder eine Alkylgruppe mit bis zu 5 Kohlenstoffatomen bedeuten, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man 3,5-Dichlorphenyl- isocyanat in Gegenwart eines tertiären Amins mit einem entsprechenden α-Hydroxyalkancarbonsäure- alkylester umsetzt.UNTERANSPRUCH Verfahren nach Patentanspruch, dadurch gekenn zeichnet, dass man 3-(3,5-Dichlorphenyl)-5- methyloxazolidin-2,4-dion, 3-(3,5-Dichlorphenyl)-5- äthyloxazolidin-2,4-dion oder 3-(3,5-Dichlorphenyl)-5,5- dimethyloxazolidin-2,4-dion herstellt.
