Two-part winding stem
Winding stems are already known in two parts coupled end to end by a coupling device, this device being formed by a slot extending axially in one of the parts of the stem and having a notch, as well as by a transverse bead of the other part of the rod, this bead being intended to be introduced into the notch by an axial thrust elastically separating the edges of the slot.
This construction is relatively easy to achieve, but it can, under certain conditions, allow untimely uncoupling of the stem, in particular when the movement of the watch can move slightly inside the case. If this movement takes place in the direction of the transverse bead, the latter can exit laterally from the notch in which it is engaged.
According to another construction, a part of the rod ends in a tubular portion, the wall of which has two diametrically opposed slits, these slits each having a notch. The other part of the rod ends in a cylindrical portion intended to be engaged in the tubular portion, this cylindrical portion having two lateral projections each penetrating into one of the slots in order to be housed in the corresponding notch.
In this way, it is no longer possible to disengage the two rod parts from one another by a radial displacement.
On the other hand, the realization of the two lateral projections is delicate. It is generally obtained by drilling a transverse hole in the cylindrical portion and inserting a plug into this hole. As the diameter of the cylindrical portion is generally less than one millimeter, it can be seen that the drilling and fitting of the anchor constitute operations requiring great precision.
The object of the present invention is to make it possible to couple two rod parts in such a way that they cannot be uncoupled by a lateral displacement between them, the shapes given at the ends of the rods being able to be produced in a relatively simple manner, in particular by turning and milling.
The present invention relates to a winding stem in two parts coupled end to end by a coupling device, this device being formed by a slot extending axially in one of the parts of the stem and having a notch, thus than by a transverse bead of the other part of the rod, this bead being intended to be introduced into the notch by an axial thrust elastically separating the edges of the slot. This rod is characterized in that the rod portion having the bead ends, beyond the bead, by a bearing intended to engage in a recess of the other part.
The appended drawing represents, schematically and by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows the end of the two rod parts coupled to one another with partial axial section.
Fig. 2 shows in perspective the ends of these rod parts in the released position.
With reference to fig. 1 and 2, part 1 of the winding stem ends at its end with a transverse bead 3, followed by a cylindrical bearing 8. The other part 4 of the winding stem has a slot 5 whose opposite edges move apart. to form a notch 6 intended to receive the bead 3. Part 4 is pierced with an axial hole 9 to receive the cylindrical seat 8.
The coupling device shown in fig. 1 and 2 is very safe, since in the engaged position, the two rod parts are secured against any lateral displacement by the engagement of the bearing 8 in the hole 9.
The coupling of the two rod parts to one another is effected by an axial pressure from one rod part to the other, which causes the bead 3 to penetrate into the slot 5, moving the edges of the latter apart. . When the bead enters the notch 6, the edges of the slot return to their initial position as a result of the inherent elasticity of the part, which keeps the two rod parts coupled to one another. These can be separated by exerting axial traction to release the bead 3 from the notch 6.
The bead 3 can be obtained easily by milling, while the bearing 8 can be low-cut without difficulty. In part 4 the slot 5 is obtained by milling, while the hole 9 can be obtained by turning.
Of course, variations can be made to the embodiment shown, and in particular the bearing surface 8 could be formed by any surface of rotation, for example conical or even spherical. However, we could design spans of other shape, for example square or hexagonal.
