Description

Fig. 3 eine konstruktive Variante.

Fig. 2 zeigt die Vorrichtung in Betrieb.

Device for the wet treatment of textile material
The present invention relates to a device for the wet treatment of textile material at a temperature which corresponds at least to the boiling point of the treatment liquid. This device has a container which can be closed in a gas-tight manner and inside which the textile material to be treated is located and performs a periodic movement with respect to the liquid with alternating accelerations and decelerations.

It is known that certain wet treatments of textile material, such as dyeing, optical brightening, etc., can be carried out much more quickly at a temperature above the boiling point of the treatment liquid and in many cases also lead to a qualitative improvement.

One uses a gas-tight sealed container for this high-temperature treatment, the z. B. when carrying out a dyeing process contains the liquor and the goods to be colored. In order to avoid local temperature differences and to compensate for the local differences in concentration of the dyebath that occur during dyeing, a constant relative movement between the goods to be dyed and the liquor must be ensured. The same also applies to similar wet treatment processes to be carried out at higher temperatures.

In a known device of this type, the fastening element of the textile material, which is arranged inside the gas-tight closed, mostly cylindrical liquid container, is periodically moved up and down in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the container, the container itself not participating in this movement and the transmission of the reciprocating movement on the fastening element located in the interior of the gas-tight container represents a structural problem that has not yet been solved in a satisfactory manner.

The most obvious solution to this problem, i.e. H. The implementation of a drive rod through the container cover provided with a stuffing box has the known disadvantages associated with the stuffing box. Such Vorrich lines have a relatively high power requirement due to the inevitable friction losses occurring in the stuffing box; they also leak easily and must therefore be tightened periodically.

In order to circumvent these disadvantages, it has already been proposed that the fastening element be carried along by a permanent magnet that is moved up and down on the container wall or an extension of the same. With this arrangement, which has already been used in practice and has generally not proven badly, the stuffing box with all its inherent disadvantages is eliminated. In contrast, when the magnetic drive is used, it is no longer possible to determine whether the fastening element with the textile material attached to it is actually being carried along by the magnet. Since the connection between the magnet and the fastening element is not positive and only takes place via the force field of the magnet, there is undoubtedly the risk that the fastening element will jam in the container.

It has also already been observed that the material of the driver to be attached to the fastening element is subject to relatively strong wear due to the constant frictional contact with the container wall; the resulting abrasion gets into the treatment liquid and falsifies the result of the treatment process.

Thanks to the present invention, the problem described is solved in a completely new way. The device forming the subject of the invention is characterized in that the container is coupled to a drive element which forces it to rotate in a periodically changing sense of rotation, in such a way that this creates a constantly changing relative movement between the textile material and the treatment liquid with simultaneous turbulent mixing of the the latter results.

In a preferred embodiment, the container is circular-cylindrical and has a closure lid, on the inner surface of which several stirring rods that reach up to the vicinity of the container base and are arranged near the container wall and concentric to the longitudinal axis of the container are attached, for example screwed.

The upper edge of the container or

the edge of the associated lid has an annular flange which, when the container is rotated, moves onto a roller bearing or a z. B. made of Teflon sliding ring.

An exemplary embodiment of the device according to the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing. Show it:
1 shows a device for dyeing yarn-like textile goods, in a schematic vertical section,
Fig. 2 shows the device shown in Fig. 1 in the heating bath and
3 shows a structural variant.

The device shown in the drawing with the omission of insignificant details has a circular cylindrical cup 1, which is provided at its upper, open end with an annular flange 2 projecting radially outward. A cover 4 provided with a seal 3 allows the cup 1 to be closed in a gas-tight manner. For this purpose, the cover 4 is placed on the annular flange 2 and pressed against the annular flange 2 by means of a hollow screw 5 and a union nut 6 that interacts with the latter.

From the center of the inner surface of the cover 4, a fastening member 7 extends downwards and serves to hold the textile material to be dyed. In a known manner, the fastening element 7 consists essentially of a support rod 8, the lower end of which is shaped into a two-armed fork 9. A second fork 10 is attached to a sliding sleeve 11, which can be moved along the support rod 8 and locked in any position by means of an adjusting screw 12. Thanks to this arrangement, the textile material, not shown, can be clamped onto the two forks 9 and 10 in a few simple steps.

On the inner surface of the lid 4, a number, for example four, stirring rods 13 are also attached, which extend in the vicinity of the cup wall over practically the entire cup height. The stirring rods are preferably screwed into the cover 4 with their upper ends so that they can be easily removed or exchanged.

One of these stirring rods is expediently designed as a thermometer tube, so that it can accommodate a rod thermometer that is accessible from the outside.

The union nut 6 is equipped with a central extension 14, on the upper portion of which a drive roller 15 is rigidly attached. The drive roller 15 is via an elastic endless transfer belt, for. B. a rubber ring 16, coupled to a second roller 17. The roller 17 is driven by a drive mechanism (not shown) in periodically alternating succession in the two directions of rotation indicated by the arrows 18. The drive, which can for example consist of a switchable electric motor, is assumed to be known and is therefore not shown.

When the drive mechanism is switched on, the drive roller 15 and with it the entire device shown in FIG. 1 are set in periodically alternating rotation, the dye liquor contained in the beaker 1 being kept in constant motion by the stirring rods 13. The textile material secured on the fastening element 7, thanks to the constantly occurring accelerations and decelerations, performs an uninterrupted relative movement with respect to the surrounding liquor, since the liquor is probably carried along when a rotational movement is initiated, but only slowed down with a considerable delay when the direction of rotation is reversed due to its inertia. In this way, an intensive, turbulent mixing of the liquor is created inside the cup.

The liquor parts of lower color concentration that are formed in the immediate vicinity of the textile material as a result of the release of color are immediately mixed with the other liquor parts, and the textile material is continuously surrounded by a turbulent liquid. As tests have shown, the dyeing results that can be achieved with this arrangement are extremely good. The device, including its drive, can be created with simple means. It does not have any shaft openings to be sealed and is nevertheless free of the disadvantages of the magnetic coupling mentioned.

Fig. 2 shows the device in operation. The cup 1 protrudes into a hot oil bath 19, by which the liquor contained in the cup is heated to the desired temperature which can be monitored by a thermostat. The edge portion of the lower end face of the hollow screw 5 is supported here on a roller bearing 20 built into the bath cover 21 above the oil bath, which results in a minimum of force and wear.

The person skilled in the art can of course vary the device described in many ways. For example, it would be possible to attach the stirring elements required to generate the liquor turbulence to the inner wall of the cup 1. Such an embodiment, which is shown in Fig.

3 is illustrated schematically, e.g. B. consist in that on the inner wall of the cup 1, a number of radially inwardly directed ribs 22 are arranged against the cup axis. These essentially fulfill the same purpose as the stirring rods 13 according to FIG. 1.

The stirring rods 13 (FIG. 1) can of course also be modified in many respects with regard to their shape and length. It should be noted, however, that the criteria of good turbulence in the liquor and the least possible obstruction to the textile material must be taken into account.

Instead of the roller bearing 20 (FIG. 2), a wear ring with low friction, for example a Teflon ring, could also be used.

The periodically changing rotation of the device can be achieved by various types of drive mechanisms.

For example, it would also be possible to make a threaded hole with a relatively steep thread on the attachment 14 of the union nut 6 and to have an up and down moving drive rod protrude through this threaded hole, which has an external thread matching the mentioned threaded hole over a certain fraction of its total length. When the threaded part of the drive rod interacts with the threaded bore of the attachment, periodically changing rotational movements of the container also result, the angle of rotation of which can be varied by changing the stroke height of the drive rod.

Thanks to the arbitrary adjustability of the angle of rotation, which is also given in the drive illustrated in FIG. 1 by appropriate control of the drive motor, the turbulence prevailing in the cup can be adjusted at any time or corrected as a function of the test results. This adjustability of the liquor turbulence is of particular importance, since it is known that not only insufficient liquor movement but also excessive vortex formation can result in disadvantages, such as matting of the material to be dyed.

The material to be dyed can be accommodated in the beaker in various ways, provided that this does not disturb or prevent the desired relative movement between the treatment liquid and the textile material with simultaneous turbulent swirling of the treatment liquid. So the dyed material could z. B. also in one with numerous perforations
Metal basket that could be freely inserted into the cup. In this case, the periodically changing rotational movement of the beaker would initially be transferred from this to the dye liquor and from the latter to the basket-like insert.

Since the respective transmission of this movement takes place only with a considerable delay due to the inertia and the direction of rotation with respect to the delay times can be changed in a relatively rapid periodic sequence, sufficient mixing is also ensured with this arrangement.
