Anstelle einer einheitlichen Diazokomponente kann man auch ein Gemisch zweier oder mehrerer der erfindungsgemäs- sen Diazokomponenten und anstelle einer einheitlichen Azokomponente ein Gemisch zweier oder mehrerer der erfindungsgemässen Azokomponenten verwenden.
Die Diazotierung der erwähnten Diazokomponenten kann nach an sich bekannten Methoden, z.B. mit Hilfe von Mineralsäure, insbesondere Salzsäure, und Natriumnitrit oder z.. mit einer Lösung von Nitrosylschwefelsäure in konz.
Schwefelsäure erfolgen.
Die Kupplung kann ebenfalls in an sich bekannter Weise, z.B. in neutralem bis saurem Mittel, gegebenenfalls in Gegenwart von Natriumacetat oder ähnlichen, die Kupplungsgeschwindigkeit beeinflussenden Puffersubstanzen oder Katalysatoren, wie z.B. Pyridin resp, dessen Salzen, vorgenommen werden.
Diejenigen unter den neuen Farbstoffen, die ein quaterni- sierbares Stickstoffatom, insbesondere ein Ringstickstoffatom in einer heterocyclischen Diazokomponente enthalten, können erfindungsgemäss nachträglich durch Behandlung mit alkylierenden Mitteln quaternisiert werden. Als Alkylierungsmittel bzw. Quaternisierungsmittel kann man hierzu z.B.
E erwenden: Ester von starken Mineralsäuren oder organischen Sulfonsäuren, z.B. Dimethylsulfat, Diäthylsulfat, Alkylhalogenide, z.B. Methylchlorid, -bromid oder -iodid, Aralkylhalogenide, z.B. Benzylchlorid, Ester von niedrigmolekularen Alkan-sulfonsauren, wie z.B. Methylester von Methan-, Aethan- oder Butansulfonsäure und Ester von Benzolsulfon sauren, die zusätzliche Substituenten aufweisen können, z.B.
Methyl-, Aethyl-, Propyl- oder Butylester von Benzolsulfon saure von 2- oder 4-Methylbenzolsulfonsäure, 4-Chlorbenzol sulfonsäure oder 3- oder 4-Nitrobenzolsulfonsäure, ferner Acrylsäurederivate, z.B. Acrylsäureamid, Oxoniumsalze, z.B.
Triaethyloxonium-borfluorat.
Die Alkylierung erfolgt zweckmässig durch Erwärmen in einem indifferenten organischen Lösungsmittel. beispielsweise Kohlenwasserstoffen, wie Benzol. Toluol oder Xylol, Halogenkohlenwasserstoffen, wie Tetrachlorkohlenstoff. Tetrachlorät han, Chlorhenzol. o-Diehlorbenzol oder Nitrokohlenwasserstoffen wie Nitromethan, Nitrobenzol oder Nitronaphthalin.
Auch Säureanhydride, Säureamide oder Nitrile. wie Essigsäureanhydrid, Dimethylformamid oder Acetonitril oder auch Dimethylsulfoxyd können als Lösungsmittel bei der Al kylierung Verwendung finden. Anstelle eines Lösungsmittels kann man auch einen grossen Überschuss an Alkylierungsmittel verwenden. In diesem Falle ist allerdings darauf zu achten, dass sich das Gemisch nicht übermässig erhitzt. da die Reaktion stark exotherm ist, Trotzdem ist es in den meisten Fällen.
speziell in Gegenwart organischer Lösungsmittel, notwendig, das Reaktionsgemisch von aussen zu erwärmen, um die Reaktions in Gang zu setzen. In besonderen Fällen kann die Alkylierung auch in wässerigem Nledium oder unter Verwendung eines Alkohols, eventuell in Gegenwart geringer Mengen Kaliumjodid durchgeführt werden. Besonders geeignet fiir die Herstellungsmethode durch Quaternisierung sind solche Farbstoffe, in denen das quaternisierbare Ringstickstoffatom der Diazokomponente mit der sich im Rest der Kupplungskomponente paraständig zur Azohrtirke befindlichen Aminogruppe durch eine ununterbrochene Kette konjugierter Doppelbindungen verbunden und vorzugsweise dem die Azobrücke tragenden Ringkohlenstoffatom benachbart ist.
Falls sie nötig ist. erfolgt die Reinigung der Farbstoffsalze zweckmässig durch Auflösen in Wasser, wobei allenfalls nicht umgesetzter Ausgangsfarbstoff als unlöslicher Riickstand abfiltriert werden kann. Aus der wässerigen Lösung kann durch Zugabe von wasserlöslichen Salzen, beispielsweise Natriumchlorid, der Farbstoff wieder abgeschieden werden,
Die verfahrensgemäss erhaltenen quaternisierten Farbstoffe enthalten als Anion vorzugsweise den Rest einer starken anorganischen Säure, beispielsweise des Chlorwasserstoffes, der Schwefelsäure oder der Phosphorsäure,
oder den Rest eines Schwefelsäurehalbesters, den Rest einer Sulfonsäure oder Carbonsäure. Die erwähnten, verfahrensgemäss in das Farbstoffmolekül eingeführten Anionen können auch durch Anionen anderer anorganischer Säuren, beispielsweise der Phosphorsäu re, der Schwefelsäure, oder organischer Säuren, wie z.B. der Ameisensäure, der Milchsäure oder der Weinsäure ersetzt werden: in gewissen Fällen können auch die freien Basen verwendet werden. Die Farbstoffsalze können auch in Form von Doppelsalzen, heispielsueise mit Halogeniden der Elemente der zweiten Gruppe des periodischen Systems, insbesondere Zink- oder Cadmiumchlorid, verwendet werden.
Die erfindungsgemäss erhaltenen Farbstoffe eignen sich zum Färben und Bedruckell der verschiedensten vollsynthetischen Fasern. wie z.B. von Polyvinylchlorid-, Polyamid-, Polurethanfasern, ferner von Fasern aus Polyestern aromatischer Dicarbonsäuren, wie z.B. von Polyäthylenterephthalatfasern, insbesondere aber von Polyacrylnitrilfaserstoffen oder von Polyvinylidencyanidfasern (Darvati), sowie von anionisch modifizierten vollsynthetischen Polyamid- und Polyesterfasern.
Unter Polyacrylnitrifasern versteht man vor allem Polymere.
die mehr als 80C z,B. 80 bis 95 % Acrylnitril enthalten; daneben enthalten sie 5 his 20% Vinylacetat, Vinylpyridin.
Vinylchlorid, Vinylidenchlorid, Acrylsäure, Acrylsäureester, Methacrylsäure, Methacrylsäureester etc. Diese Produkte werden L.B. unter den folgenden Markennamen verkauft: Acrilan 1656 (The Chemstrand Corporation, Decatur, Alabama, USA), Acrilan 41 (The Chemstrand Corporation), Creslan (American Cyanamid Company) Orlon 44 (Du Pont), Crylon HH (Soc. Rhodiacéta SA, France). Leacril N (Applicazioni Chimice Socità per Azioni, Italien), Dynel (Union Carbide Chem, Corp.), Exian (Japan Exlan Industry Co., Japan), Vonnel (Mitsubishi, Japan), Verel (Tennessee Eastman, USA), Zefran (Dow Chemical, USA), Wolcrylon (Filmfahrik Agfa, Wolfen), Ssaniw (UdSSR) und auch Orlon 42 , Dralon , Courtelle usw.
Auf diesen Fasern, die auch in Mischung miteinander gefärht werden können, erhält man mit den neuen Farbstoffen intensive und egale Färbungen mit guter Lichtechtheit und guten Allgemeinechtheiten, insbesondere guter Wasch-, Schweiss-, Sublimier-. Knitterfest-, Dekatur-, Bügel-. Reib-, Carbonisier-, Wasser-, Chlorwasser-, Meerwasser-, Trockenrei nigungs-, Üherfärbe- und Lösungsmittelechtheit. Die erfindungsgemässen neuen Farbstoffe haben u,a. auch eine gute Stabilität in einem grösseren pH-Bereich, eine gute Affinität und gutes Aufhauvermögen z.B. in wässerigen Lösungen von verschiedenen pH-Werten und eine gute Beuchechtheit.
Ausserdem zeigen die neuen Farbstoffe im allgemeinen eine gute Reserve auf Wolle und anderen natürlichen Polyamidfasern, sowie auf Baumwolle.
Die quaternisierten, wasserlöslichen Farbstoffe sind im allgemeinen wenig elektrolyt-empfindlich und zeigen z.T. eine ausgesprochen gute Löslichkeit in Wasser oder polaren Lösungsmitteln. Die Färbung mit den quaternisierten, wasserlöslichen Farbstoffen geschieht im allgemeinen in wässerigem, neutralem oder saurem Medium, bei Siedetemperatur unter Atmosphärendruck oder in geschlossenem Gefiiss unter erhöhter Temperatur und erhöhtem Druck Die handelsüblichen Egalisiermittel stören nicht, sind jedoch nicht erforderlich.
Die angegebenen Farbstoffe eignen sich vor allem auch für die Trichromiefärbung. Ferner sind sie wegen ihrer Hydrolysbe- ständigkeit mit Vorteil verwendhar für das Hochtemperatur- färben und für das Färben in Gegenwart von Wolle. Sie können auch durch Bedrucken auf die Faserstoffe aufgehracht werden.
Zu diesem Zweck verwendet man beispielsweise eine Druck- paste, welche den Farbstoff nebst den in der Drtickerei üblichen Hilfsmitteln enthält. Sie eignen sich ferner auch fiir die Massenfärbung von Polymerisationsprodukten von Acrylnitril, wie auch von anderen plastischen, gegebenenfalls gelösten Massen.
in licht- und waschechten Nuancen, ferner fiir die Färbung von Ölfarben oder Lacken, oder schliesslich auch fiir die Färbung von Baumwolle, speziell von gebeizter Baumwolle, von Cellulose, regenerierter Ccllulosc und von Papier. Wegen ihres guten Egalisiervermögens eignen sie sich vor allem auch fiir die Teppichfärberei.
In den nachfolgenden Beispielen bedeuten die Teile, sofern nichts anderes angegeben wird, Gewichtsteile, die Prozente Gewiehtspnizente, und die Temperaturen sind in Celsiusgraden angegeben.
Vorschrift I
45 Teile 1-Methoxy-2-N,N- [bis-2'-hydroxyäthyl-amino 4-methylbenzol werden in 1 00 Teilen Pyridin bei I ()-15 mit 42 Teilen p-Toluolsulfochlorid versetzt Man rührt 4 Stunden bei der angegebenen Temperatur, trägt das Reaktionsgemisch atif 1000 Teile Eis aus, filtriert,
wäscht mit kalten Wasser pyridinfrei und trocknet Der erhaltene Bis-toluolsulfoester wird mit 200 Vol,-Teilen Chlorbenzol und 44 Vol,-Teilen Morpholin 3 Stunden bei 120 gerührt, die nach dem Erkalten auskristallisierte Kupplungskomponente der Formel

Vorschrift II
13,3 Teile N,N-Bis-(2-chloräthyl)- 1 ,3-to1uidin, 17 Teile Piperidin und 25 Teile Dimethylformamid werden i Std. unter Rückfluss gekocht. Man lässt auf 120 erkalten, verdünnt mit 75 Teilen wasserfreiem Chlorbenzol, saugt den Kristallbrei bei 20 ab und wäscht nacheinander mit je 1(1(1 Teilen Chlorhenzol und Essigsäureäthylester. Beispiel I
Zu einem Gemisch von 44 Vol.-Teilen tn-Nitrosylsehwefel- säure und 20 Vol.-Teilen Eisessig gibt man bei etwa 15" 6,6 Teile 2-Amino-5-nitrobenzonitril. Nach 2 Std. giesst man das Diazotierungsgemisch auf 250 Teile Eis, zerstört einen Üherschuss an salpetriger Säure durch Zugabe von 2 Teilen Sulfaminsäure und lässt die Diazolösung zu einer Lösung von 16.1 Teilen der Kupplungskomponente der Formel

Claims (1)
- PATENTANSPRUCH I Verfahren zur Herstellung von Azofarbstoffen, die von sauren wasserlöslichmachenden Gruppen frei sind und der allgemeinen Formel EMI21.1 entsprechen, worin D tlen Rest einer Diazokomponente, A einen in p-Stellung zur cyclischen Aminogruppe an die Azo- gruppe gebundenen Benzolrest, Y und Y1 Alkylengruppen mit 3 oder 2 C'-Atomcn und Z eine Atomkette darstellt, die mit dem Stickstoffatom einen 5-, 6- oder 7-gliedrigen Ring bildet und neben Kohlenstoffatomen auch Heteroatome enthalten und oder einen ankondensierten carbocyclischen Ring aufweisen kann, und X ein Anion bedeutet,dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man diazotierte Amine der Formel D-NH mit Kupplungskomponenten der Formel EMI21.2 kuppelt, worin D. A. Y. Y,. Z und X die angegebene Bedeutung haben, UNTERANSPRÜCHE 1.Verfahren gemäss Patentanspruch l zur Herstellung von Azofarbstoffen, die von sauren wasserlöslichmachenden Gruppen frei sind und der Formel EMI21.3 entsprechen, worin D1 den Rest einer aromatischen oder heterocyclischen Diazokomponente, a ein Wasserstoffatom, eine Phenoxygruppe oder eine höchstens 4 Kohlenstoffatome enthaltende Alkyl- oder Alkoxygruppe, b ein Wasserstoffatom oder Halogenatom, ei tie höchstens 4 aliphatisch gebundene Kohlenstoffatome enthaltende Halogenalkyl-, Alkoxy-, Alkyloder Aralkylgruppe oder eine Acylaminogruppe bedeutet, deren Acylrest sich von einer heterocyclischen, aromatischen oder aliphatischen Carbonsäure ableitet, R Wasserstoff,Methyl oder Aethyl untl m und n 3 oder 2 bedeuten, und worin Z, mit dem Stickstoffatom einen 5-, 6- oder 7-gliedrigen Ring bildet, der als Ringatome neben dem Stickstoffatom und mindestens 2 Kohlenstoffatomen noch höchstens 2 weitere Heteroatome aus der Gruppe von Sauerstoff, Stickstoff oder Schwefel enthalten kann, und X, ein sich von einer starken anorganischen Säure, von einem Schwefelsäurehalbester, von einer Carbonsäure oder von einer Sulfonsäure ahleitendes Anion bedeutet, dadurch gekennzeichnet.dass man diazotierte Amine der Formel D,-NH2 mit Kupplungskomponenten der Formel EMI21.4 ktippelt, worin D,. a. b, R, n, m. Z, und X die angegebene Bedeutung haben, 7. Verfahren gemäss Patentanspruch I zur Herstellung von Azofarbstoffen, die von sauren wasserlöslichmachenden Gruppen frei sind und der Formel EMI21.5 entsprechen, worin D2 den Rest einer aromatischen Diazokomponente der Benzolreihe oder einer höchstens bicyclischen heterocyclischen Diazokomponente der Thiazol-, Benzthiazol-, Triazol- oder Thiadiazolreihe, V und Vl eine Aethylen-, Propylen- oder Isopropylenbrücke und B eine Brücke -CHR-, -NR-, -0-oder -S- darstellt, und worin a,b, X1 und R die in Unteranspruch 1 angegebene Bedeutung haben, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man diazotierte Amine der Formel D2-NH2 mit Kupplungskomponenten der Formel EMI22.1 kuppelt, worin D2, a, b, V, Vl, R, B und Xt die angegebene Bedeutung haben.PATENTANSPRUCH II Verwendung der nach dem Verfahren gemäss Patentanspruch I erhaltenen Farbstoffe, die ein quaternisierbares Stickstoffatom in der Diazokomponente enthalten, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man diese nachträglich durch Behandlung mit alkylierenden Mitteln quaternisiert.UNTERANSPRUCH 3. Verwendung gemäss Patentanspruch ll, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man als Quaternisierungsmittel Ester von starken Mineralsäuren oder organischen Sulfonsäuren, Alkylhalogenide oder Ester von niedrigmolekularen Alkansulfonsäuren oder Benzolsulfonsäuren verwendet.
