Description
Damenbinden werden im allgemeinen aus zerkleinertem, gebleichtem Holzzellstoff hergestellt, der zerfasert und zu etwa 8 bis 9 g schweren, im Grundriss angenähert rechteckigen Saugkissen aus fadenartigen, bauschigen, nicht orientierten Holz-Zellstoffasern verarbeitet wird. Die Binden sind im allgemeinen 20 cm lang, 6 cm breit und 2 cm dick. Die Kissen sind zumeist mit mindestens einer Trägerschicht, z. B. aus Textilverbundstoff oder Vlies, bedeckt, die das Saugkissen zusammenhält und dem ganzen seine Form verleiht. Die Trägerschicht ist zumeist länger als das Saugkissen ausgebildet, um freie Endabschnitte oder schmale Befestigungsbänder zu bilden.
Mehrschicht-Damenbinden der obigen Art haben ein verhältnismässig grosses Volumen und benötigen grosse Verpackungen. Noch mehr stört die Sperrigkeit des flockigen Kissens aus Holzzellstoff beim Tragen der Mehrschicht-Damenbinde. Diese Binden schmiegen sich auch nicht genügend dem Körper an. Als Folge davon treten Lageverschiebungen und Undichtigkeiten auf, die aus hygienischen und ästhetischen Gründen in höchstem Grade unerwünscht sind.
Zweck der Erfindung ist es, obige Nachteile zu beseitigen und eine dünne. billige und leichte Mehrschicht-Damenbinde zu schaffen, die trotzdem schmiegsam und zuverlässig bei ihrer Anwendung ist.
Demgemäss sind Gegenstand der Erfindung: a) eine Mehrschicht-Damenbinde, die gekennzeichnet ist durch eine erste Absorptionsschicht aus schmiegsamem Material, eine zweite Absorptionsschicht aus mehreren Materiallagen, deren Grundrissfläche grösser ist als die der ersten Absorptionsschicht und an dieser mindestens teilweise flächig anliegt, eine dünne, schmiegsame, flüssigkeitsundurchlässige Kunststoffschicht, die mit der zweiten Absorptionsschicht kongruent ist und an dieser, diese vollständig überdeckend anliegt, und eine Vielzahl von bei Körpertemperatur nichtklebrigen Bindemittelkörpern, die die Schicht gegen Verschiebungen in bezug aufeinander sichern, wobei sich jeder Körper annähernd senkrecht zu den Schichtebenen durch mindestens die mittlere der drei Schichten hindurch erstreckt, und b) ein Verfahren zur Herstellung der vorstehend beschriebenen Mehrschicht-Damenbinde,
das gekennzeichnet ist durch folgende Verfahrensschritte: Übereinanderlegen der Absorptionsschichten, Anbringen einer Vielzahl von durchgehenden Schlitzen für die Bindemittelkörper in den Absorptionsschichten, Einbringen eines Bindemittelkörpers in schmelzflüssiger Form an jeder Schlitzstelle in die Absorptionsschichten und Abkühlen der Bindemittelkörper auf Raumtemperatur, wobei die Kunststoffschicht zu irgendeinem Zeitpunkt auf die der ersten Absorptionsschicht abgewandte Oberfläche der zweiten Absorptionsschicht aufgebracht wird.
Ausführungsbeispiele des Erfindungsgegenstandes werden nachfolgend anhand der Zeichnungen näher beschrieben. Es zeigen:

Die in Fig. 1 und 2 dargestellte Mehrschicht-Damenbinde 1 hat eine erste Absorptionsschicht 4 und eine zweite Absorptionsschicht 5 aus einer Vielzahl von Seidenpapierlagen, die parallel zueinander und flächig aneinanderliegend angeordnet sind, sowie eine dünne, flexible, flüssigkeitsundurchlässige Kunststoffschicht 7. Zwischen der ersten Absorptionsschicht 4 und der zweiten Absorptionsschicht 5 liegt eine Zwischenschicht 9, die jedoch stellenweise unterbrochen ist, so dass der Flüssigkeitsaustausch zwischen den Absorptionsschichten 4, 5 nicht behindert wird.
Vorzugsweise weisen die erste Absorptionsschicht 4 und die zweite Absorptionsschicht 5 jeweils zwanzig bis vierzig Lagen von unkalandertem Seidenpapier aus gebleichtem, weissem Zellstoff auf, die jeweils kongruent übereinanderliegen. Das Seidenpapier weist gewöhnlich ein Flächengewicht von 15 bis 30 g/m2 auf. Vorzugsweise besitzt eine solche Absorptionsschicht dreissig Seidenpapierlagen mit einem Flächengewicht von 17 g/m2. Es kann natürlich auch eine andere Anzahl von Seidenpapierlagen und mit anderen Flächengewichten für die Mehrschicht-Damenbinde verwendet werden. Ebenso können die beiden Absorptionsschichten 4, 5 voneinander verschieden sein.
Um zu vermeiden, dass die Seidenpapierteilchen sich von den Absorptionsschichten 4 und 5 abheben und an der Haut haften bleiben, schliesst man vorzugsweise die Oberfläche der Absorptionsschichten 4, 5 jeweils mit einer Oberflächenschicht eines nichtgewobenen Textilmaterials aus Holzund/oder Baumwollzellstoff ab. Vorzugsweise ist das Vlies offen und porös und kann dazu noch mit einem synthetischen Harz behandelt sowie kalandert sein, um Flusenbildung zu vermeiden. Das Vlies weist vorzugsweise ein Flächengewicht von 7 bis 28 g/m2 auf.
Die hauptsächlichen Befestigungsmittel für die Papierlagen und die Oberflächenschichten aus Vlies 4, 5, 7 sind Bindemittelkörper 12, 12', 12", die in den Fig. 1, 2 und 5 gezeigt werden. Diese erstrecken sich mindestens durch die mittlere der drei Schichten 4, 5, 7 und sind aus einem bei Körpertemperatur nichtklebrigen Werkstoff gefertigt. Die Körper 12 können gegebenenfalls an der Kunststoffschicht 7 enden und mit dieser unlösbar verbunden sein (Fig. 5).
Die Fig. 2 zeigt die erste Absorptionsschicht 4, die mittels der Körper 12', die sich durch die zweite Absorptionsschicht 5 erstrecken, mit der Kunststoffschicht 7 verbunden sind (s.
auch Fig. 5).
Die Körper 12, 12', 12" werden in schmelzflüssiger Form an Schlitzstellen in die Absorptionsschichten 4, 5 eingebracht und dadurch unlösbar mit diesen befestigt. Die durchgehenden Schlitze haben einen beliebigen Grundriss (Fig. 3, Fig. 6a-6c) und werden mittels eines Schneidwerkzeugs praktisch senkrecht zu den Schichtebenen angebracht. Wenn der Schlitz im Grundriss angenähert V-förmig ist, so wird beim Einbringen des Körpers 12, 12', 12" in die Absorptionsschichten 4, 5 in Einbringrichtung eine Zunge 32 über eine Kante 33 abgekantet (Fig. 3, 4), welche Zunge 32 die Festigkeit der Nietverbindung beträchtlich erhöht.
Wenn der Schlitz wie in Fig. 6c im Grundriss X-förmig ist, werden beim Einbringen des Körpers 12, 12', 12" vier Zungen 48, 48', 48", 48"' gebildet, die in ähnlicher Weise verstärkend wirken wie die Zunge 32 der Fig. 3 und 4. Wenn der Schlitz jedoch im Grundriss die Form eines geschlossenen Linienzugs aufweist wie in Fig. 6d, wird stets ein Innenabschnitt 51 ausgestanzt, so dass anstatt einer Zunge eine freie Öffnung zur Aufnahme des Körpers 12, 12', 12" entsteht.
Die Körper 12, 12', 12" haben vorzugsweise eine Länge von 3 bis 7 mm und werden so bemessen und angeordnet, dass sie beim Tragen der Binde keine Reizung der Haut verursachen. Vorzugsweise verwendet man dafür ein Bindemittel, das frei von Wasser oder anderen Lösungsmitteln ist, die leicht das Seidenpapier benetzen könnten, da das Bindemittel nicht durch das Seidenpapier aufgrund der Kapillarwirkung wandern und dieses benetzen soll. Ein schmelzflüssiges Binde- mittel ist frei von solchen Lösungsmitteln und erstarrt rasch zu einem bei Körpertemperatur nichtklebrigen Körper. Die Viskosität des geschmolzenen Bindemittels sollte relativ hoch sein, um das Fliessen der Schmelze zu begrenzen.
Polyäthylen als Klebstoff weist beispielsweise im geschmolzenen Zustand bei einer Einfülltemperatur von ungefähr 870 C eine Viskosität von 12 000 bis 18 000 Centipoise auf. Ein hochplastifiziertes Vinylchloridpolymer kann als schmelzflüssiges Bindemittel beispielsweise für die Verbindung mit einer sehr flexiblen Polyvinylchloridschicht 7 verwendet werden (Fig. 5). Auch lassen sich schmelzflüssige Bindemittel auf Basis von Polymeren, wie z. B. Fettsäurepolyamiden oder speziell aufbereitetem, plastifiziertem Polyvinylacetat, verwenden. Es ist wesentlich, dass die Körper 12, 12', 12" bei Hauttemperatur des Menschen und bei Lagerung bis zu 700 C festbleiben und nicht klebrig werden. Ebenso sollten die Bindemittel ungiftig sein und keine Hautallergien hervorrufen.
Bei der Mehrschicht-Damenbinde der Fig. 7 ist eine dünne, flexible, flüssigkeitsundurchlässige Kunststoffschicht 71 über eine Zwischenschicht 72 flächig mit der zweiten Absorptionsschicht 73 verbunden. Die zweite Absorptionsschicht 73 kann ähnlich ausgebildet sein wie die Absorptionsschicht 5 der Fig. 1 und 2.
Bei der Mehrschicht-Damenbinde der Fig. 7 besteht die erste Absorptionsschicht 74 aus trockener regenerierter Zellulose, in Form eines feinporigen ursprünglich z. B. 6 mm dikken Kissens, das quer zur Ebene der Absorptionsschicht 74 stark zusammengepresst worden ist, um die Porengrösse ohne Einbusse an Saugfähigkeit möglichst zu verkleinern. Es weist dann nur noch eine Stärke von 0,07 cm auf. Die erste Absorptionsschicht 74 ist über eine Zwischenschicht 77 aus einem schmelzflüssigen Bindemittel mit der zweiten Absorptionsschicht 73 stellenweise verklebt.
Für die erste Absorptionsschicht eignet sich regenerierte Zellulose wegen ihrer ausgezeichneten Absorptionseigenschaften am besten. Die erste Absorptionsschicht 74 absorbiert die Menstruationsflüssigkeit zuerst und leitet diese aufgrund der Kapillarwirkung in die grössere zweite Absorptionsschicht weiter, wo die Flüssigkeit verbleiben kann. Vorzugsweise ist die erste Absorptionsschicht so gross, dass sie mindestens den Scheidenvorhof bedeckt. Die Menge, d. h.
das Gewicht pro Flächeneinheit, und die Anzahl der Seidenpapierlagen der ersten oder der zweiten Absorptionsschicht wird durch das zur Aufnahme der Menstruationsflüssigkeit erforderliche Volumen bestimmt.
Um sich dem Körper bestmöglich anzuschmiegen, ist es zweckmässig, dass die Grundrissfläche jeder Schicht 4, 5, 7 angenähert die Form von zwei gleichgrossen, schlanken, gleichschenkligen Trapezen hat, deren Basisseiten miteinander verbunden sind (Fig. 1, 8 und 9). Vorzugsweise ist jede Trapezoberseite des Grundrisses auch die lange Seite eines an das Trapez angeschlossenen Rechtecks und die Basis jedes Trapezes auch eine der langen Seiten eines die Trapeze verbindendes Rechtecks. Es hat sich als besonders günstig erwiesen, wenn die zweite Absorptionsschicht 15 bis 22,5 cm lang ist, ihre grösste Breitenabmessung 3,75 bis 7,5 cm und ihre kleinste Breitenabmessung 1,25 bis 2,5 cm beträgt.
Die beschriebenen Mehrschicht-Damenbinden haben ausser den oben aufgezählten anatomischen, hygienischen und ästhetischen Vorzügen den grossen Vorteil, dass sich die einzelnen Schichten praktisch abfallfrei, mit sehr hohen Arbeitsgeschwindigkeiten und mit einem Mindestmass an Arbeitsaufwand herstellen lassen.
Die Fig. 8 zeigt, dass eine Bahn 81 in Richtung des Pfeiles 82 durch eine Schneidvorrichtung bewegt werden kann.
Die Bahn 81 (Fig. 8) hat eine Breite 83 von etwa 75 cm, aus der gleichzeitig sechzehn Mehrschicht-Damenbinden abgeschnitten werden können, wobei nur am Rande der Bahn ein schmaler Abfallstreifen entsteht.
Ein auf Druck ansprechender Klebstreifen 91 der Fig. 9 ist symmetrisch zur langen Achse 92 der Schicht 90 angeordnet, die entweder eine erste Absorptionsschicht, eine zweite Absorptionsschicht oder eine Kunststoffschicht ist. Die kleine Achse 93 unterteilt den kleinen Bereich L der Schicht 90. Der rechteckige Endabschnitt 94 hat eine Länge von 1/2L und eine Breite M. Somit kann ein bevorzugtes Muster der Bahn 81 (Fig. 8) der Schicht entworfen werden, wobei die lange Achse 92 der Schicht eine Länge von 15 bis 22,5 cm und die kleine Achse 93 eine Länge von 3,75 bis 7,5 cm aufweisen.
L weist eine Länge von 1,25 bis 5 cm und M eine Länge von 1,25 bis 2,5 cm auf. Die erste Absorptionsschicht, die eine kleinere Grundrissfläche aufweist, ist in den Abmessungen der zweiten Absorptionsschicht ähnlich. Die erste Absorptionsschicht kann getrennt hergestellt werden, wobei die Verbindung zwischen der ersten Absorptionsschicht und der zweiten Absorptionsschicht mittels einer der oben beschriebenen Klebeverbindungen hergestellt werden kann.
Die vorstehend beschriebene Mehrschicht-Damenbinde weist gegenüber bekannten Binden eine Reihe von entscheidenden Vorteilen auf. Zunächst ist sie in trockenem Zustande sehr dünn und trotzdem sehr schmiegsam und saugfähig. Ferner lassen sich die einzelnen Absorptionsschichten auf einfache und zuverlässige Weise miteinander verbinden.
Schliesslich lassen sich die Einzelschichten mit ihrem Verwendungszweck entsprechenden Optimalgrundrissen ausbilden, die gleichzeitig die Massenfabrikation ohne nennenswerten Abfall und mit kleinstmöglichem Arbeitsaufwand erlauben.

The first absorption layer 4 and the second absorption layer 5 preferably each have twenty to forty layers of uncalendered tissue paper made of bleached, white cellulose, which are each congruent on top of one another. The tissue paper usually has a basis weight of 15 to 30 g / m2. Such an absorption layer preferably has thirty tissue paper layers with a weight per unit area of 17 g / m2. Of course, a different number of tissue paper layers and with different basis weights can also be used for the multilayer sanitary napkin. The two absorption layers 4, 5 can also be different from one another.
In order to prevent the tissue paper particles from lifting off from the absorption layers 4 and 5 and sticking to the skin, the surface of the absorption layers 4, 5 is preferably closed off with a surface layer of a non-woven textile material made of wood and / or cotton pulp. The fleece is preferably open and porous and can also be treated with a synthetic resin and calendered in order to avoid the formation of lint. The fleece preferably has a weight per unit area of 7 to 28 g / m 2.
The main fastening means for the paper layers and the surface layers of fleece 4, 5, 7 are binder bodies 12, 12 ', 12 ", which are shown in FIGS. 1, 2 and 5. The bodies 12, 12 ', 12 "are introduced in molten form at slot locations in the absorption layers 4, 5 and are thus permanently attached to them. The bodies 12, 12 ', 12 "preferably have a length of 3 to 7 mm and are dimensioned and arranged in such a way that they do not cause any irritation to the skin when the bandage is worn. B. 6 mm thick cushion, which has been strongly compressed transversely to the plane of the absorption layer 74 in order to reduce the pore size as possible without loss of absorbency. It is then only 0.07 cm thick. The first absorption layer 74 is adhesively bonded to the second absorption layer 73 in places via an intermediate layer 77 made of a molten binder.
Regenerated cellulose is best suited for the first absorption layer because of its excellent absorption properties. The first absorption layer 74 absorbs the menstrual fluid first and, due to the capillary action, forwards it into the larger second absorption layer, where the fluid can remain. The first absorption layer is preferably so large that it covers at least the vaginal vestibule. The amount, i.e. H.
the weight per unit area, and the number of tissue paper layers of the first or the second absorption layer is determined by the volume required to absorb the menstrual fluid.
In order to snuggle up to the body as best as possible, it is advisable that the plan area of each layer 4, 5, 7 has approximately the shape of two equally large, slim, isosceles trapezoids, the base sides of which are connected to one another (Fig. 1, 8 and 9). Each trapezoid top side of the floor plan is preferably also the long side of a rectangle connected to the trapezoid and the base of each trapezoid is also one of the long sides of a rectangle connecting the trapezoids. It has proven to be particularly favorable if the second absorption layer is 15 to 22.5 cm long, its largest width dimension is 3.75 to 7.5 cm and its smallest width dimension is 1.25 to 2.5 cm.
In addition to the anatomical, hygienic and aesthetic advantages listed above, the multi-layer sanitary napkins described have the great advantage that the individual layers can be produced with practically no waste, at very high working speeds and with a minimum amount of work.
FIG. 8 shows that a web 81 can be moved in the direction of arrow 82 by a cutting device.
The web 81 (FIG. 8) has a width 83 of about 75 cm, from which sixteen multilayer sanitary napkins can be cut at the same time, with a narrow waste strip being created only at the edge of the web.
A pressure sensitive adhesive tape 91 of FIG. 9 is arranged symmetrically to the long axis 92 of the layer 90 which is either a first absorption layer, a second absorption layer or a plastic layer. The minor axis 93 divides the small area L of the layer 90. The rectangular end portion 94 has a length of 1 / 2L and a width M. Thus, a preferred pattern of the path 81 (FIG. 8) of the layer can be designed, the long Axis 92 of the layer is 15 to 22.5 cm in length and the minor axis 93 is 3.75 to 7.5 cm in length.
L is 1.25 to 5 cm in length and M is 1.25 to 2.5 cm in length. The first absorbent layer, which has a smaller plan area, is similar in dimensions to the second absorbent layer. The first absorption layer can be produced separately, it being possible to produce the connection between the first absorption layer and the second absorption layer by means of one of the adhesive connections described above.
The multilayer sanitary napkin described above has a number of decisive advantages over known sanitary towels. First of all, it is very thin when dry and yet very pliable and absorbent. Furthermore, the individual absorption layers can be connected to one another in a simple and reliable manner.
Finally, the individual layers can be designed with optimal floor plans corresponding to their intended use, which at the same time allow mass production without significant waste and with the least possible amount of work.
