Description

Fig. 1 ein auf einer Handfeuerwaffe, beispielsweise einem Gewehr, angebrachtes optisches Zielgerät mit einer Bildverstärkerröhre in einer seitlichen Ansicht;
Fig. 2 ein seitlich an einer Waffe angebrachtes Zielgerät in einer vom Standpunkt des Schützen aus gesehenen Ansicht;

Lup = 0b

   The invention relates to an optical sighting device equipped with an image intensifier tube for attachment to weapons.

   To aim, i. H. It is already known to use optical aiming devices that are equipped with an image intensifier tube to enable a weapon to be aimed at a specific target, even in poor lighting conditions.

  Large objective diameters are required so that these target devices are as bright and powerful as possible. With a continuous beam path, i. H. the axis of the exit pupil coincides with the axis of the picture tube and the lens, there are now significant disadvantages for attaching such a target device to a weapon, as the target device has to maintain a sufficiently large distance from the weapon axis due to the large lens diameter.

   If such a targeting device is now attached to a handgun, for example a rifle, a machine gun or the like, the exit pupil, caused by the required large objective diameter, lies far above the natural, mechanical sight line of the weapon and is therefore quite inconvenient and inconvenient for the shooter . If, on the other hand, the aiming device is attached to the side of a weapon, for example an anti-tank weapon, in which case the position of the exit pupil relative to the weapon is usually predetermined, then the large distance between the aiming device axis and the weapon axis and the considerable weight of the with a picture tube equipped target device inevitably a torque acting on the weapon, whereby the handling and aiming with such a weapon is made considerably more difficult.

   The object on which the invention is based is therefore to largely avoid the above-mentioned disadvantages and to create an optical target device equipped with an image intensifier tube in which the position of the exit pupil is independent of the axis of the target device.

   According to the invention, this object is achieved in that an optical system for angling the beam path is provided in the beam path of the target device in front of the magnifying glass. In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the optical system has a mirror or prism system designed in such a way that the beam path is offset in parallel with respect to the optical axis of the target device when it emerges from the magnifying glass.

   In order to avoid the difficulties that exist with the usual aiming devices equipped with an image intensifier tube and a downstream magnifier for attaching mirrors or prisms between the magnifier and the image intensifier tube, the mirrors or prisms can be switched on in the beam path of a telescopic magnifier arranged behind the screen of the image intensifier tube.

   The solution according to the invention now ensures that the position of the exit pupil of the target device can be brought to the prescribed or most expedient and most convenient locations regardless of the position of the target device.

  In targeting devices for handguns, the position of the exit pupil is therefore expediently placed in the immediate vicinity of the mechanical line of sight in order to give the shooter the opportunity to adopt his natural and most appropriate head posture when shooting.

  In the case of the aiming devices attached to the side of weapons, the invention achieves that the largest proportions of weight resulting from the lens and picture tube can be brought closer to the weapon, so that the torque acting on the weapon is significantly reduced, as is the torque required for holding the aiming device required device can be carried out more easily.

   Embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing and are described in more detail below. Show it:
1 shows an optical sighting device with an image intensifier tube mounted on a handgun, for example a rifle, in a side view;
2 shows a targeting device attached to the side of a weapon in a view seen from the point of view of the shooter;
3 shows a schematic representation of the beam path of the target device behind an image intensifier tube.

   In FIG. 1, 1 shows a handgun with a mechanical line of sight 10, to which an optical sighting device equipped with an image intensifier tube 3 is attached via a holder 7.

   With a 2 provided with a large diameter bright lens is designated, the optical axis 8 coincides with the axis of the picture tube 3. Behind the picture tube 3, an optical device consisting, for example, of a rhombic prism 5, is provided for bending the beam path of the target device, and 4 denotes a magnifying glass with the aid of which the shooter can observe the screen of the picture tube 2. 6 finally shows an eyecup attached to the magnifying glass.

   While now with a target device with a continuous beam path, i. H. the axis of the magnifying glass 4 coincides with the optical axis 8 of the target device, the exit pupil of the target device formed by the magnifying glass 4 would have a considerable distance from the mechanical line of sight 10 of the weapon 1, is determined by the bending of the beam path made with the aid of the prism 5 of the aiming device reaches a significantly more favorable position of the exit pupil, which is adjacent to the mechanical target line.

   While in FIG. 1 the optical sighting device was attached vertically above the weapon 1, FIG. 2 shows the lateral attachment of such a sighting device to a weapon 11, for example an anti-tank weapon. In such arrangements, the position of the exit pupil (magnifying glass 14) is usually specified by the masses A and B. However, since a target device equipped with an image intensifier tube represents a considerable weight, with a continuous beam path, i. H. the optical axis of the targeting device coincides with the position of the exit pupil, the targeting device exerts a torque, which results from the weight of the targeting device and the distance A, on the weapon 11, which makes it very difficult and inconvenient to use the same, and in particular to aim safely becomes.

  To remedy this disadvantage, the aiming device according to the invention also has an optical device 15 for bending the beam path of the aiming device, whereby the axis of the image intensifier tube 13 and objective 12 is moved towards the weapon by the amount C relative to the position of the exit pupil 14. In addition to reducing the torque acting on the weapon, a shortened, lighter and more stable holder 17 for the target device can also be achieved.

   In FIG. 3, the beam path of a target device equipped with an image intensifier tube is shown in a schematic representation. The image intensifier tube is shown at 20, the screen 22 of which is viewed with the aid of a telescopic magnifier consisting of a collimator lens 23, an objective 24 and an eyepiece 27. A deflection system consisting of two mirrors 25 and 26 is switched into the beam path of this telescopic magnifier, with the aid of which the beam path of the target device 8 is shifted in parallel according to the proposal according to the invention. The arrangement of a telescopic magnifier instead of a normal magnifier now has the advantage that there is sufficient space for the arrangement of the mirrors 25, 26.

  Since magnifying glasses with a relatively short focal length are usually used in target devices equipped with an image intensifier tube, the distance remaining between the magnifying glass and the screen of the picture tube would not be sufficient to arrange the mirrors or corresponding prisms required for bending the beam path. With the help of the in Fig.

   3 illustrated telescopic magnifier, the focal length of which is derived from the
Ratio f = fk focus
Lup = 0b
LP gives fob, where fk is the focal length of the collimator lens, fob the
Focal length of the lens and focus are the focal length of the eyepiece, a short focal length can be achieved with the appropriate dimensioning of the focal lengths of the individual components.
