la fig. 2, une vue de face;

The present invention relates to a device comprising a transport member, allowing counting, for supplying objects arranged in a stack to a packaging machine.
Counting devices are already known comprising teeth or claws for the transfer and an auxiliary device for stopping, at determined times, the drive of the objects to be packaged.
The drive being at practically constant speed, the starting of the transferred object is sudden and limits the operating speed; in addition, the inertia of the auxiliary stop device is not negligible.
The object of the invention is to allow a high packaging speed and to facilitate the adjustment according to the object to be transferred.
In the device according to the invention, the transport member has retractable drive fingers mounted on a rotating plate and traversing a circular path along a plane perpendicular to the axis of the stack, so as to carry out a transfer whose starting speed is progressive and the arrival speed decreasing.
The drive fingers can be of shape other than cylindrical.
The plane of the finger path may differ slightly from perpendicular to the axis of the stack, so as to momentarily increase the protrusion of the finger during transfer.
The counting can be obtained either by controlling the number of turns of the fingers, or by an ancillary servo device such as control by a photocell counter.
Preferably. the thrust of the objects to be counted and packaged against the transfer plane will be of constant force; this being obtained either by gravity, by choosing an orientation and a suitable stack height, or by means of a known friction system.
The appended drawings show, by way of example, one embodiment of the device which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a side view
fig. 2, a front view;
fig. 3, a partial section along the axis of one of the plates.
The device shown comprises a frame (1) supporting the drive motor (2), the feed passage (3) of the stack of articles to be packaged (4) and the exit one (5). The corridors (3) and (5) are adjustable in position according to the dimensions of the object to be treated.
The plates (6) and (7) each comprise an axis (8) guided and held in position by a bearing (9) formed in the frame (1). The rotation of the plate (6) by means of the motor (2) is ensured by a connecting member (10) and by a pulley (11) integral with the axis (8) of the plate (6). The rotation of the plate (7) in synchronism of movement, but in the opposite direction, with the plate (6) is obtained by a gear consisting of the teeth (12) formed at the periphery of each of the plates (6) and ( 7).
During transfer, the object (25) slides on the table (23) then on a stop-ramp (26), the latter. fixed and integral with the table, having the function of axially retaining the stack contained in the exit passage (5) so as to allow the object transferred between the stack and the table, respectively the stop ramp (26) to be inserted .
During the journey from one battery to another, the object moved in passing activates a counting device, represented in the drawing by the sensor element (27) of a photoelectric cell device, ensuring the counting and the stopping the transfer after the passage of a determined quantity of objects.
The stack, in the exit corridor (5), is capped with the packaging box (28) so as to maintain the objects successively introduced into said box, which is driven by the progression of the stack.
Since the cam and the relays respectively control each of the fingers, their withdrawal movement can thus be prevented for certain angular positions of the plates, this locking preventing withdrawal during transfer.
Stopping and starting the transfer of the objects to be counted and packaged are obtained by simply acting on the valve controlling the pressurized fluid.
