Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Buch, insbesondere Wörterbuch oder Sprachführer, im Taschenformat mit einem Buchdeckel aus flexiblem Werkstoff.
Beim Gebrauch sind derartige Bücher bezüglich ihrer Haltbarkeit durch nachlässige Behandlung gefährdet, wenn sie in Taschen der Kleidung, insbesondere Hosentaschen, gesteckt werden.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, die Haltbarkeit von Büchern der eingangs erwähnten Art auch bei wenig sorgfältiger Behandlung zu erhöhen.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäss dadurch gelöst, dass die eine Deckelseite mindestens eine um die 1,5fache Dicke des Buches und höchstens um die Breite der Seiten grössere Breite als die andere Deckelseite aufweist.
In der schematischen Zeichnung ist ein Buch nach der Erfindung beispielsweise dargestellt.
Das Buch weist in üblicher Weise einen die Seiten 1 tragenden Buchdeckel aus flexiblem Werkstoff, beispielsweise Kunststoffolie, auf. Die untere Deckelseite 2 ist jedoch breiter als die obere Deckelseite 3 ausgebildet. Die Deckelseite 2 ist um mindestens die 1,5fache Dicke a des Buches und höchstens um die Breite b der Seiten 1 brei tet als die obere Deckelseite 3.
Der überstehende Teil der Deckelseite 2 kann unter die Deckelseite 3 eingeschlagen werden, wodurch eine die Seiten 1 schützende Umhüllung gebildet ist.
Der überstehende Teil der Deckelseite 2 kann ferner auch als Ersatz für ein Lesezeichen benutzt werden.
Schliesslich kann der überstehende Teil der Deckelseite, vorzugsweise auf seiner Aussenfläche, wichtige für die Benutzung des Buches nützliche Hinweise tragen.
PATENTANSPRUCH
Buch, insbesondere Wörterbuch oder Sprackführer, im Taschenformat mit einem Buchdeckel aus flexiblem Werkstoff, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die eine Dekkelseite (2) mindestens eine um die 1,5fache Dicke (a) des Buches und höchstens um die Breite (b) der Seiten (l grössere Breite als die andere Deckelseite (3) aufweist.
