Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung neuer ungesättigter Ätherverbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I,

Die Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel III lässt man in einem geeigneten Lösungsmittel, wie z. B. einem Äther, wie Dioxan, Dimethyloxyäthan, Diäthylglykol-dimethyläther, einem Alkohol, wie Äthanol, einem Keton, wie Aceton, einem Nitril, wie Acetonitril, einem Säureamid, wie Dimethylformamid oder einem geeigneten Lösungsmittelgemisch und, wenn M in der allgemeinen Formel III für Wasserstoff steht, in Gegenwart eines säurebindenden Mittels, wie beispielsweise Natriumhydroxid, Kaliumhydroxid, Natriumcarbonat, Kaliumcarbonat, bei Temperaturen zwischen vorzugsweise 0 und etwa 100t mit Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel II reagieren.
Die Aufarbeitung des Reaktionsproduktes erfolgt in der üblichen Weise.
Die Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I sind farblose Öle, die in der üblichen Weise charakterisiert werden können.

Die Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel IV lassen sich beispielsweise durch Reaktion von Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel VII R1-YH2-CH2-CO-R VII worin Rl, R2 und Y die oben bezeichneten Bedeutungen besitzen, mit Vinylmagnesiumchlorid oder Vinylmagnesiumbromid in einem geeigneten Lösungsmittel, wie z. B. Tetra hydrofuran, oder mit Vinyllithium in geeigneten Lösungsmitteln, wie z. B. Tetrahydrofuran, Äther usw., und nachfolgende auf übliche Weise durchgeführte Hydrolyse der entstehenden Magnesium- oder Lithiumverbindungen herstellen.
Die Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel V, VI und VII sind bekannt oder lassen sich nach bekannten Methoden herstellen.
Es wurde nun gefunden, dass die erfindungsgemäss hergestellten Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I die Entwicklung von Insekten und Spinnmilben hemmen. Wird eine unreife Form bestimmter Insekten oder Spinnmilben mit einer erfindungsgemässen Verbindung behandelt, so wird deren Übergang in die anschliessende Erscheinungsform verhindert.
Diese Entwicklungshemmung kann bei bestimmten Insekten und Spinnmilben unmittelbar den Tod zur Folge haben. In anderen Beispielen führt der Kontakt mit den erfindungsgemäss hergestellten Verbindungen zu verminderter Eiablage oder zur Verhinderung der Kopulationsfähigkeit.
Die reifungsverhindemde Wirkung der synthetisch gewonnenen Verbindungen der Formel I erreicht bzw. übertrifft beispielsweise die des natürlichen Cecropia-Juvenilhormons, das jedoch nicht auf vergleichbar wirtschaftliche Weise erhalten werden kann.
Die erfindungsgemäss hergestellten Verbindungen wirken bei der Aufnahme durch die unreifen Formen der Insekten oder bei deren Kontakt damit. Die Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I eignen sich daher hervorragend zur Schädlingsbekämpfung. Sie zeichnen sich besonders dadurch aus, dass sie praktisch nicht toxisch gegenüber Warmblütern sind.
Für die Anwendung als Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittel können die erfindungsgemäss hergestellten Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I in Form von Stäube- oder Spritzmitteln, z. B. als Lösungen bzw. Dispersionen, die mit Wasser oder geeigneten organischen Lösungsmitteln, wie z. B. Alkoholen, Petroleum, Teerdestillaten u. a.. sowie Emulgatoren, z. B.
flüssigen Polyglykoläthern, die aus höhermolekularen Alkoholen, Merkaptanen oder Alkylphenolen durch Anlagerung von Alkylenoxid entstanden sind, zubereitet werden. Dem Gemisch können auch noch geeignete organische Lösungsmittel, wie Ketone, aromatische, gegebenenfalls halogenierte Kohlenwasserstoffe, Mineralöle usw., als Lösungsvermittler beigefügt werden.
Die Spritz- und Stäubemittel können die üblichen inerten Trägerstoffe, wie z. B. Talkum, Kieselgur, Bentonit, Bimsstein, oder weitere Zusätze, wie Cellulosederivate und dergleichen, ferner zur Verbesserung der Netzfähigkeit und Haftfestigkeit die üblichen Netz- und Haftmittel enthalten.
Die erfindungsgemäss erhaltenen Wirkstoffe können in den Formulierungen und in den Spritzbrühen in Mischungen mit anderen bekannten Wirkstoffen vorliegen. Die Formulierungen enthalten im allgemeinen zwischen 2 und 90 Gewichtsprozent Wirkstoff, vorzugsweise zwischen 5 und 50 %. In den Gebrauchsbrühen reicht im allgemeinen eine Konzentration zwischen 0,01 und 0,1 Gewichtsprozent an Aktivstoff zur wirksamen Schädlingsbekämpfung aus..
Die Wirkstofformulierungen können auf bekannte Weise hergestellt werden, z. B.: a) 25 Gewichtsteile einer Verbindung der allgemeinen Formel I werden mit 25 Gewichtsteilen Isooctylphenyldecaglykoläther und 50 Gewichtsteilen Xylol vermischt, wodurch man eine klare, in Wasser gut emulgierbare Lösung erhält.
Das Konzentrat wird mit Wasser auf die gewünschte Konzentration verdünnt.
b) 25 Gewichtsteile einer Verbindung der allgemeinen Formel I werden mit 30 Gewichtsteilen Isooctylphenyloctaglykoläther und 45 Gewichtsteilen einer Petroleumfraktion vom Siedepunkt 210-280' (D20: 0,92) vermischt. Das Konzentrat wird mit Wasser auf die gewünschte Konzentration verdünnt.
c) 50 Gewichtsteile einer Verbindung der allgemeinen Formel I werden mit 50 Gewichtsteilen Isooctylphenyloctaglykoläther vermischt. Man erhält ein klares Konzentrat, das in Wasser leicht emulgierbar ist und mit Wasser auf die gewünschte Konzentration verdünnt wird.
Die folgenden Anwendungsbeispiele dienen zur Erläuterung der hervorragenden insektiziden und akariziden Wirksamkeit der erfindungsgemäss hergestellten Verbindungen.
Beispiel a
Insektizide Wirkung auf Dysdercus fasciatus-Larven (Baumwollwanze)
Filterpapier wird mit einer Lösung des Wirkstoffs der all gemeinen Formel I getränkt. Mit dem so behandelten Filterpapier wird eine Dose aus Polystyrol (200 x 100 x 85 mm) ausgekleidet. In diese Dose gibt man ein ebenfalls imprägnier tes, gefaltetes Filterpapier und besetzt mit etwa 30 Dysdercus Larven im 4. Larvenstadium. Man gibt als Futter gestossene
Baumwollsamen und ein Trinkgefäss dazu. Die Angabe der Anzahl nach 14 bis 15 Tagen normal entwickelter Adulten erfolgt in %.

Wirkung auf die Entwicklung von Prodenialittura-Larven (Baumwolleule) zu Adulten
Filterpapier wird mit einer Lösung des Wirkstoffs der allgemeinen Formel I getränkt. Mit dem so behandelten Papier werden 3,5 x 5,5 cm grosse Fächer einer Plastikschachtel ausgekleidet: In jedes Fach wird eine Prodenia-Raupe im 3. bis 4. Larvenstadium gesetzt und ein Stück Kunstmedium als Futter zugegeben. Die Tiere werden bei 25" gehalten.
Die Angabe der Anzahl nach 21 Tagen normal entwickelter Adulten erfolgt in %.

Wirkung auf die Entwicklung von Tenebriomolitor-Puppen (Mehlkäfer) zu Adulten
Die erfindungsgemässen Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I werden in Konzentrationen von 1% Wirkstoff in acetonischer Lösung verwendet. Auf die Bauchseite der letzten drei Segmente von frischen Puppen (nicht älter als
18 Stunden) werden mittels einer 1 -Mikroliter-Vollpipette 2yl Substanzlösung, entsprechend 20 Mikrogramm Wirkstoff, aufgebracht.
Je 10 Puppen werden für jeden Test verwendet. Die behandelten Puppen werden in Plastikbechern bei 28 C gehalten. Die Auszählung normal entwickelter Adulten erfolgt nach 10 bis 12 Tagen. Die Anzahl normal entwickelter Adulten wird in % angegeben.

Kontaktwirkung bei Tetranychus urticae (rote Spinne)
1 Tag vor der Behandlung werden mit einem feinen Pinsel je 10 adulte Weibchen von Tetranychus urticae in den Innenbereich zweier Ringe (Durchmesser: 3 cm) aus Raupenleim auf einem Blatt einer Baumwollpfianze übertragen. Die Baumwollblätter werden mittels eines Zerstäubers mit einer Brühe, die jeweils 0,1% Aktivstoff enthält, bis zum Abtropfen besprüht. Nach dem Trocknen werden die Pflanzen bei Raumtemperatur und Dauerlicht gehalten. Die Auszählung der toten und lebenden Tiere erfolgt 6 Tage nach der Behandlung.
Die Wirkung wird als Relation der behandelten und einer unbehandelten Population in % angegeben.

Die folgenden Beispiele dienen zur Erläuterung der Herstellung der Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I, sollen die Erfindung aber in keiner Weise einschränken. Die Temperaturangaben erfolgen in Celsiusgraden.
Beispiel 1
2-(3 -Äthyl -5 -sek. -butoxy-2-pentenyloxy) -benzaldehyd
Zu 20 ml 48 %iger Bromwasserstoffsäure werden unter Rühren bei 5 im Verlauf von 15 Minuten 9,3 g (0,05 Mol) 3-Äthyl -5 -sek. -butoxy-1 -penten -3 -ol getropft. Nach 1/2stün- digem intensivem Rühren bei 5 bis 10 wird mit Äther extrahiert, der Ätherauszug mit 10 %iger Sodalösung und anschliessend mit gesättigter Kochsalzlösung extrahiert, mit Kaliumcarbonat getrocknet und eingedampft.
Das so hergestellte Bromid wird ohne Reinigung zu 6,1 g (0,05 Mol) Salicylaldehyd und 2,8 g (0,05 Mol) Kaliumhydroxid in 80 ml 1,2,-Dimethoxyäthan gegeben. Das Gemisch wird 24 Stunden bei 20-25 gerührt, anschliessend filtriert und unter vermindertem Druck eingedampft. Der Rückstand wird in Äther aufgenommen, mit eiskalter 10%iger Natriumhydroxidlösung und anschliessend mit gesättigter Kochsalzlösung extrahiert, mit Natriumsulfat getrocknet und eingedampft.
Der anfallende 2 -(3 -Äthyl-5 -sek. -butoxy-2-pentenyloxy) - benzaldehyd kann durch Chromatographie an Kieselgel mit Hexan/Essigsäureäthylester 1:1 als Elutionsmittel gereinigt werden. nD20: 1,5090.

4-(5 -Cyclohexyloxy-3 -methyl-2 -pentenyloxy) -benzoesäure methylester
Zu 21 ml 48 %iger Bromwasserstoffsäure werden unter Rühren bei 5 im
Verlaufe von 15 Minuten 9,9 g (0,05 Mol) 5 -Cyclohexyloxy-3 -methyl-1 -penten-3 -ol getropft. Das Gemisch wird während 30 Minuten bei 0-5" gerührt und anschliessend mit Äther extrahiert. Der Ätherextrakt wird mit gesättigter Kochsalzlösung gewaschen, mit Natriumsulfat getrocknet und eingedampft.
Das so anfallende 1 -Brom-5 -cyclohexyloxy-3 -methyl-2- penten (11,0 g) wird ohne Reinigung zu 7,6 g (0,05 Mol) p-Hydroxybenzoesäure-methylester und 2,8 g Kaliumhydroxid in 80 ml 1,2-Dimethoxyäthan gegeben. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird nach 24stündigem Rühren bei Raumtemperatur filtriert und das Filtrat eingedampft. Der Rückstand wird in Äther aufgenommen, mit eiskalter Natronlauge und anschliessend mit gesättigter Kochsalzlösung extrahiert, die Ätherphase mit Natriumsulfat getrocknet und eingedampft.
Der Rückstand wird an Kieselgel mit Hexan/Essigester 9: 1 chromatographiert. Man erhält chromatographisch einheitlichen 4-(5 -Cyclohexyloxy-3 -methyl-2-pentenyloxy) - benzoesäuremethylester als farbloses Ö1. nD20: 1,5299.

5 -[(5 -Isopropoxy-3 -methyl-2-pentenyloxy) -methyl]
1,3-benzodioxol
Zu 40 ml 48%iger Bromwasserstoffsäure werden unter Rühren bei 5" im Verlaufe von 15 Minuten 15,8 g (0,1 Mol) 5 -Isopropoxy3 -methyl-l-penten3 -ol zugetropft.
Nach 30 Minuten bei 0-5" wird die Mischung mit Äther extrahiert, der Ätherauszug mit 10%iger Sodalösung und anschliessend mit gesättigter Kochsalzlösung extrahiert, mit Natriumsulfat getrocknet und eingedampft.
Das angefallene 1 -Brom-5 -isopropoxy-3 -methyl-2 -penten (19,0 g) wird zu 17,4 g (0,1 Mol) Natriumsalz von 3,4-Methylendioxy-benzylalkohol in 150 ml Dimethylformamid gegeben und das Gemisch während 5 Stunden bei 60" gerührt.
Das Reaktionsgemisch wird auf 300 ml Wasser gegossen und mit Äther extrahiert. Die Ätherlösung wird mit Wasser gewaschen, mit Natriumsulfat getrocknet und eingedampft. Der Rückstand wird an Kieselgel mit Hexan/Essigester 9:1 chromatographiert. Man erhält 5-[(5-Isopropoxy-3-methyl-2- pentenyloxy)-methyl]-1,3-benzodioxol als farbloses Ö1.

Analyse: C17H2404 Molgewicht: 292,4 ber.: C 69,8% H 8,3% gef.: C 69,4 H 8,2%
Beispiel 21 5-(5-lsopropoxy-3-methyl-2-pentenyloxy)-1,3-benzodioxol
Zu einer Lösung von 4,1 g (0,03 Mol) 3,4-Methylendioxyphenol und 6,2 g (0,035 Mol) 1-Chlor-5-isopropoxy3-methyl-2-penten in 100 ml 1 ,2-Dimethoxyäthan werden 1,7 g (0,03 Mol) pulverisiertes Kaliumhydroxid zugefügt. Das Gemisch wird während 18 Stunden bei 60 gerührt, anschliessend filtriert und unter vermindertem Druck eingedampft.
Der Rückstand wird in Äther gelöst, mir 5 %iger Natronlauge und danach mit gesättigter Kochsalzlösung gewaschen, mit Natriumsulfat getrocknet und eingedampft.
Das zurückbleibende 5 -(5 -Isopropoxy-3 -methyl-2-pentenyloxy)-1,3-benzodioxol wird durch Chromatographie an Kieselgel mit Hexan/Essigester 9:1 gereinigt. Man erhält ein chromatographisch einheitliches farbloses Ö1, das nach Gaschromatogramm und NMR-Spektrum aus einem Gemisch von 30sec der 2-cis- und 70sec der 2-trans-Verbindung besteht und mit dem analog Beispiel 1 hergestellten Produkt identisch
20 ist. nD 1,5167.

Die als Ausgangsprodukte verwendeten tertiären Alkohole der allgemeinen
Formel IV können beispielsweise wie folgt hergestellt werden:
5 -Isopropoxy-3 -methyl-1 -penten-3 -ol
12 g (0,5 Mol) Magnesiumspäne werden in einem mit Rührer und eisgekühltem Rückflusskühler ausgestatteten Kolben unter Stickstoff mit 60 ml absolutem Tetrahydrofuran überschichtet und auf 40 bis 45" erwärmt. Aus einem Tropftrichter werden 5 ml einer Lösung von 53,5 g (0,5 Mol) Vinylbromid in 100 ml absolutem Tetrahydrofuran zugetropft, worauf eine exotherme Reaktion einsetzt. Die restliche Vinylchloridlösung wird so schnell zugetropft, dass eine Temperatur des Reaktionsgemisches von 45 bis 50 erhalten bleibt (etwa 1 bis 11/2 Stunden). Danach wird eine Stunde bei 50" gerührt und anschliessend auf 0" gekühlt. Unter kräftigem
Rühren werden nun im Verlauf von 45 Minuten 52 g (0,4 Mol) 4-Isopropoxy-2-butanon in 100 ml abs.
Tetra hydrofuran zugetropft, und anschliessend wird das Reaktions gemisch während 16 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur gerührt.
Nach dieser Zeit werden im Verlauf von 15 Minuten 250 ml einer 20%gen Ammoniumchlorid-Lösung zu dem auf 5 bis 10 gekuhlten Reaktionsgemisch hinzugefügt. Die Mischung wird 15 Minuten gerührt und mit Äther extrahiert. Der Ätherextrakt wird im Scheidetrichter mit Wasser gewaschen, mit Natriumsulfat getrocknet und eingedampft. Der Rück stand wird bei 13 mm Druck fraktioniert, wobei das 5-Iso propoxy-3 -methyl-1 -penten-3 -ol bei 72-73" übergeht.

Die Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel II, worin Hal Chlor bedeutet, können beispielsweise wie folgt hergestellt werden:
Zu 20,4 g (0,3 Mol) Isopren und 0,3 g Zinkchlorid werden unter Rühren bei 0" im Verlauf von 40 Minuten 32,4 g Chlormethyl-isopropyläther zugetropft. Anschliessend wird während 24 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur gerührt.
Das Reak tionsgemisch wird in Äther aufgenommen, mlt Wasser und anschliessend mit Natriumbicarbonatlösung und wieder mit Wasser gewaschen. Die Ätherphase wird mit Natriumsulfat getrocknet, der Äther abdestilliert und der Rückstand bei 12 mm destilliert, wobei 1 -Chlor-5 -isopropoxy-3 -methyl-2 - penten als farbloses Öl erhalten wird. Sdp. 86-92"/12 mm, nun20: 1,4553.
