Abstract

The electrically heated cooking plate heat output is regulated by connecting a certain pattern of the separate heating elements which form components of the cooking plate. A number of switching steps are arranged in the system and max. power is used for heating up to the boiling point. After the required temp has been reached for boiling, the system of the cooking plate is automatically switched to power necessary for continuing the boiling. An additional temp. dependent switch is provided whose switching temp. is below that of the protection switch. The cooking plate has a switch with seven stages. The overheating protection switch is set to 300 deg.C and it is connected into the current circuit of a resistor. The temp dependent switch is set to a lower temp, e.g. 120 deg.C.
