Abstract
A turbogenerator rotor has channels to cool winding (2). It comprises:- rotor (1), shaft (3), water supply channel (4), water outlet channel (5), radial channel (7), hot water chamber (9), piping (13), and plate (14), water distribution channel (15) and rotor cover (16). In this system, settling of water in one place, hence formation of air bubbles which causes overheating, is prevented, by increasing the cooling water pressure and adding of cold water between the feed and the outlet end. The arrangement comprises an even number of water distribution chambers for hot and for cold water and each is provided with a by-pass.
