Abstract
Cpds. of formula (I): (where Z = -CH2-CH2- (opt. substd. with one or two CH3 gps) R1 = F, Cl, CH3O, C2H5O, CF3, R2 = H, CH3, C2H5, iso-C3H7, R3 = H Cl, CH3, CH3O, CF3 and is in one of the two positions meta to the amino gp. R = CH3, C2H5, and if R1 = CH3O or C2H5O >=1 of the two gps. R2, R3 = H), together with suitable carriers and/or diluents are used for regulating plant growth and as selective herbicides for grassy and broad-leaved weeds in crops such as soya-bean, cotton, lucerne, cereals and sugar-beet.
