Fig. 1 eine schematische Draufsicht auf eine Düsenwebmaschine,
Fig. 3 eine Ansicht in Richtung des Pfeiles III von Fig. 2.
S' tangential an.
The invention relates to a weft thread conveying device for shuttleless looms, in particular for jet looms with two feed nozzles, with a continuously drivable pair of conveying rollers.
In a known weft thread conveying device of this type there are two separately drivable pairs of conveying rollers, the first conveying roller of each pair being arranged in a stationary manner and each second conveying roller being liftable from the first assigned to it by an amount preventing the conveying of the weft thread. Both conveyor rollers of each pair are connected to gear wheels, which are kept in mutual engagement.
When every second conveyor roller is lifted from the first assigned to it, the assigned gear wheels are also moved away from one another, but only so far that their mutual engagement remains upright.
This mutual movement of the gears assigned to the conveyor rollers causes the teeth of the gears to run with a relatively large amount of play in the larger center distance of the gears corresponding to the raised position of the second conveyor roller. On the one hand, this causes a not inconsiderable increase in noise and, on the other hand, increased wear on the gearwheels.
The disadvantages listed are to be eliminated by the invention. This is achieved according to the invention in that the pair of conveying rollers is formed by two rollers, the circumference of which consists of two conical circumferential parts that are inclined to one another and are provided for conveying a weft thread, which circumferential parts have an ascending course from the roll edge to the roll center, and that one of the two conveyor rollers is mounted tiltably for optionally pressing one of their peripheral parts against the corresponding peripheral part of the other conveyor roller.
The weft thread conveying device according to the invention thus has, in contrast to the known device, only a single pair of conveying rollers which, however, is able to convey two weft threads due to its conical peripheral parts. Since the conveyor rollers do not have drive gears that are moved away from and towards one another, the problems resulting from this movement of the gears are also eliminated.
In the following the invention is explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment and the figures of the drawing; in the latter show:
1 shows a schematic top view of a jet loom,
FIG. 2 shows a detail of FIG. 1 in a perspective illustration, and
FIG. 3 is a view in the direction of arrow III in FIG. 2.
The jet loom shown in Fig. 1 essentially consists of a warp beam 1, from which the warp threads 2 run over the shafts 3 to the fabric beat-up edge 4, a reed 5, an insertion device 6 and a fabric beam 7 for winding up the goods 8.
A holder for two weft thread bobbins 9 and 9 'is arranged on one side of the machine frame, from which bobbins one weft thread S, S' is withdrawn by a conveying device 10. A controlled thread brake 11, 11 'or 12, 12' is arranged for each weft thread S, S 'between the weft thread bobbins 9, 9' and the conveying device 10 and directly in front of the insertion device 6. Each of the thread brakes 11, 11 'and 12, 12' has a pair of clamping disks between which a weft thread S, S 'passes. Of each pair of discs, one disc can be lifted off the other, so that the weft thread can pass freely between the discs in the raised position and is clamped in the other position.
The weft threads S, S 'are guided away from the conveying device 10 via deflection rollers to a storage device 13 and run from this via further deflection rollers and the thread brakes 12, 12' to the insertion device 6.
The storage device 13 has a tuning fork-like shape with a U-shaped storage part and a tube leading away from it. The tube is connected to a suction source, not shown, by means of which air can be constantly drawn through the two legs of the U-shaped storage part. A weft thread S, S ′ conveyed by the conveying device 10 is entrained by this air suction and drawn into the respective leg of the storage part.
The entry device 6 is formed by a stationary multiple nozzle arrangement, for example a double nozzle. Such a nozzle arrangement, which is essentially formed from two nozzles in the form of bent tubes, is described in Swiss Patent No. 571,597. In the case of a nozzle arrangement of this type, due to the compact design, the positioning processes for the individual nozzles that are otherwise required for each weft thread change are dispensed with.
Each nozzle of the insertion device 6, through which a weft thread S or S ′ runs, is connected to a switching valve 15 via a fluid line 14, 14 ′. The changeover valve 15 is connected via a line 16 to a pump, not shown. The pump intermittently conveys fluid which is fed via the switching valve 15 to the nozzle of the insertion device 6 that is currently required, whereby the respective weft thread S or S 'is inserted into the shed in the direction indicated by an arrow.
A weft thread cutting device 17 is arranged in the space between the insertion device 6 and the adjacent fabric strip.
A programmer 18 is arranged on the side of the machine frame opposite the entry device 6, which controls the functional sequences of the thread brakes 11, 11 'and 12, 12', the conveying device 10, and the switching valve 15 using a predetermined program. The programmer 18 is connected to all these elements, but for the sake of clarity only the connection 19 between the programmer 18 and the conveyor device 10 is shown. The control of the fluid delivery in the line 16 takes place by coupling the pump connected to the line 16 with the drive of the loom.
The conveying device 10 will now be explained with reference to FIGS. 2 and 3:
According to FIGS. 2 and 3, the conveying device 10 (FIG. 1) essentially consists of a conveying roller pair comprising a measuring roller 20 and a pressure roller 21. The measuring roller 20 is mounted on a drive shaft 22 and rotates continuously in operation in the direction indicated by an arrow.
The pressure roller 21 is freely rotatably mounted in the fork-shaped end 24 of a two-armed lever 25 via a shaft 23.
The lever 25 is mounted approximately in its middle part on a stationary pivot axis 26. The other end of the lever 25 is articulated to an actuating lever 27 controllable by the programmer 18 via a connection 19. Two guide eyes 28 and 28 'for the weft threads S, S' are arranged on the central part of the lever 25 mounted about the pivot axis 26.
The scope of the measuring roller 20 u. The pressure roller 21 consists of two conical peripheral parts 29, 30 and 31, 32, respectively, which run inclined to one another. These peripheral parts each have an ascending course from the roller edge to the roller center.
On each of the peripheral parts 29, 30 of the measuring roller 20, a weft thread S or S 'rests tangentially.
The pressure roller 21 can be tilted by the actuating lever 27 so that either one of its conical peripheral parts 31 or 32 to the corresponding peripheral part 29 or
30 of the measuring roller 20 is pressed against it, and the other of its conical peripheral parts is correspondingly lifted from its assigned peripheral part of the measuring roller 20. As a result, depending on the pivot position of the lever 25, the weft thread lying between the pressed together peripheral parts of the two rollers is conveyed and the weft thread lying between the raised peripheral parts remains at rest.
The measuring roller 20 and the pressure roller 21 lie on their highest surface line, i.e. at the surface line with the greatest circumference constantly to one another. Since the measuring roller 20 is constantly driven and the pressure roller 21 is constantly in contact with the measuring roller 20 with its highest surface line, the pressure roller 21 is also constantly rotating. The angle between the two swivel positions of the lever 25 shown in full and dashed lines in FIG. 3 is approximately 6 ".
In the position of lever 25 and pressure roller 21 shown in FIG. 2 and in FIG. 3 (fully extended position of lever 25 and pressure roller 21), peripheral part 31 of pressure roller 21 is pressed against peripheral part 28 of measuring roller 20 and peripheral part 32 the pressure roller 21 is lifted from the peripheral part 30 of the measuring roller 21. Accordingly, the weft thread S is conveyed and the weft thread S 'remains at rest.
