Abstract
A hydraulically or pneumatically operable device (3) is inserted into the steel tube (15) of the structural supporting member via an auxiliary tube (13) separate from the steel tube, by means of which device (3) the perforated wall of the steel tube (15) is gradually forced out bulge-like at several locations. After the device (3) is removed, hardening agent (11) is injected under pressure into the steel tube (15) and the point (14) connected to it until the space occupied by the steel tube and the point is filled and the hardening agent penetrates through the holes in the wall of the steel tube into the ground surrounding the steel tube and hardens. The auxiliary tube (13) is gradually withdrawn until it is recovered in its entirety from the ground. At the same time, the hardening agent is injected into the auxiliary tube during the withdrawal of the auxiliary tube, so that the space occupied by the auxiliary tube and gradually exposed is filled. <IMAGE>
