Abstract

In a wristwatch which will preferably be non-circular in shape, the casing consists of the bezel (1) carrying the glass (2) and of the dome-back (3) which is fitted under friction or hitched to the bezel (1). The movement (4) is carried by the plastic movement-holder hoop (8) whose peripheral web (10) is fitted by its periphery under friction to the wall of the bezel. The waterproofing around the stem is produced in the region of the hoop (8) by the ring (16) held in place by the annulus (17) serving in the magnetic shielding of the movement. The dome (19) also serves for the same purpose. It is carried by the hoop (8) and closes a waterproof enclosure bounded by the bezel and glass. When the case is closed, the periphery of the dial (5) bears underneath the overhang (6). <IMAGE>
