Abstract
For the purpose of simplifying the control and improving the understandability of an alarm instant display, at a time when no alarm instant is set up, means (1, 6, 8) are provided in order to deliver to a switching circuit (20-24) the logic indication of the fact that no alarm instant is set up. Without the action of these switching means the indication would be 00:00 on the seven-segment display. Owing to the action of the said switching means, the signal on the common electrode (34) is inverted and the peripheral segments are not displayed whilst the middle segment (Sm, Sh), receiving a signal which is then the inverse of that which is applied to the common electrode, appears, resulting in the display of --:--. <IMAGE>
