Abstract

A battery charging device which can be used for feeding a plurality of compact electronic devices, for example a wristwatch, includes at least one solar battery (1) as a primary battery and a closed silver-oxide battery (4) as a secondary battery. There is a limitation of the charging current through the secondary battery and a limitation of the charging voltage over this battery, in order to protect the closed silver-oxide battery against swelling. <IMAGE>
