Die Erfindung betrifft eine langgestreckte Leuchte, insbesondere für Tunnels, bei der innerhalb eines etwa kastenförmigen Gehäuses eine oder mehrere Leuchtstofflampen, sowie dazugehörige Befestigungen und elektrische Mittel vorgesehen sind und die Leuchtseite des Gehäuses von einer durchsichtigen Platte abgedeckt ist, die ebenso wie eine Bodenplatte dicht am Gehäuse angebracht ist, wobei die von einem Profilstrang abgeschnittenen Stirn- und Seitenwände des Gehäuses jeweils mit Hilfe von an den vier Ecken angeordneten Bauteilen fest aneinander gehalten sind. Die vorgenannten Leuchtstofflampen können auch Quecksilberdampfhochdrucklampen, Halogenmetalldampflampen und Natriumdampflampen sein. Damit kann die Länge und/oder Breite des Gehäuses genau den gewünschten Dimensionen angepasst werden, da die Seitenwände und/oder Stirnwände nur auf die entsprechende Länge anzuschneiden sind.
