Abstract
Highly concentrated, storage-stable solutions of sulpho-containing azo, nitro or anthraquinone dyes are prepared by liquid-liquid extraction. In this process, a virtually homogeneous, aqueous-organic dye preparation comprising water, dye and sodium chloride or sodium sulphate, the concentration of sodium chloride or sodium sulphate in the preparation being between 50 and 200 g/l, and loweralkylene glycol monoloweralkyl ether as a solvent that is miscible with water in any proportion are heated and, after phase separation has taken place, the organic dye phase is separated from the aqueous salt phase.
