Description
La présente invention concerne des peintures à conditionnement aérosol, dites ci-après «peintures aérosol», du type pouvant être enlevé à l'eau.
Le brevet des Etats-Unis d'Amérique N° 4 125 499 décrit une peinture aérosol pouvant être enlevée à l'eau et un récipient à partir duquel la peinture peut être projetée par pulvérisation. La peinture contient une résine filmogène qui a été rendue hydrosoluble par neutralisation des groupes acides à l'aide d'une amine ou de l'ammoniac, ainsi qu'un solvant hydrosoluble de cette résine hydrosoluble. Le brevet précité enseigne que pour pouvoir être projetée avec succès à partir du récipient ou de la bombe aérosol, la formulation de la peinture doit contenir peu, et de préférence pas, d'eau dans le réservoir de l'aérosol. Le brevet précité affirme qu'une faible quantité seulement d'un solvant insoluble dans l'eau peut être tolérée dans la formulation de la peinture aérosol. Les exemples de mise en œuvre décrits dans le brevet précité et qui correspondent à cette affirmation ne contiennent pas de solvant insoluble dans l'eau, mais utilisent un système de solvants hydrosolubles comportant des quantités relativement grandes de l'acétone hydrosoluble.
Contrairement aux enseignements indiqués en dernier lieu et que l'on trouve dans le brevet précité concernant un solvant insoluble dans l'eau, il a été trouvé que l'on peut utiliser avantageusement des quantités relativement grandes d'un solvant insoluble dans l'eau et que l'on obtient ainsi un produit très satisfaisant et qui peut notamment être enlevé à l'eau. La découverte sur laquelle la présente invention se fonde permet d'éliminer des solvants hydrosolubles comme l'acétone et de les remplacer par des solvants insolubles dans l'eau, comme du solvant pour peinture. Le produit que l'on obtient ainsi à l'aide de la présente invention coûte moins cher du fait que le solvant pour les peintures est moins onéreux que l'acétone. De façon plus importante, on obtient une plus grande sécurité contre des incendies lorsqu'on utilise des solvants dont le point d'éclair est plus élevé. Par exemple, le point d'éclair en vase Tag ouvert est de 5-6°C pour l'acétone alors que le même point d'éclair se situe entre 30 et 60°C pour du solvant pour des peintures.
Donc, la présente invention propose un récipient d'aérosol contenant un agent propulseur, ainsi qu'une formulation de peinture améliorée et qui comprend de 10 à 60% en poids, de préférence 15 à 35% en poids, d'une résine hydrosoluble filmogène, de 10 à 30% en poids, de préférence de 15 à 30% en poids, d'un solvant hydrosoluble de cette résine, de 10 à 60% en poids, de préférence de 25 à 45% en poids, d'un solvant insoluble dans l'eau de cette résine et de pas plus que 8% en poids, de préférence moins que 1% en poids, d'eau.
La présente invention envisage des formulations pour vernis limpides brillants et à écalat soyeux, ainsi que des formulations de peintures ou de vernis comportant des pigments de diverses couleurs présents en des proportions pouvant atteindre un maximum d'environ 40% en poids. Comme on le sait bien en pratique, il existe un certain nombre d'additifs que l'on utilise classiquement dans des formulations pour peinture aérosol, et le tableau A suivant indique, en pourcentage pondéral, les quantité d'un certain nombre de matières de ce genre pouvant être incorporées à titre facultatif.

L'aspect important de la présente invention consiste en le nouveau système des solvants qui comprend un solvant hydrosoluble, du type utilisé dans le brevet précité, présent en une quantité suffisante pour conférer au système la possibilité d'être enlevé par nettoyage à l'eau. Le reste du système des solvants peut être constitué de n'importe quel solvant insoluble dans l'eau ou de n'importe quel mélange de tels solvants constituant un solvant de la résine filmogène utilisée dans la peinture. Des solvants insolubles dans l'eau et typiques sont des hydrocarbures aliphatiques dissolvants comme l'hexane, l'heptane, des hydrocarbures aromatiques dissolvants comme le toluène et le xylène et, dans la forme préférée de réalisation, le solvant couramment utilisé dans l'industrie des peintures et connu sous la désignation de «solvant pour peintures». Voici la définition de ce solvant pour peintures que l'on trouve dans «The Condensed Chemical Dictio-nary», 8ème édition:

On peut aussi utiliser d'autres solvants insolubles dans l'eau, comme l'alcool benzylique ou des solvants chlorés, à la condition de choisir le solvant ou le mélange des solvants, de façon à obtenir une base pour peinture qui, lors de son emballage pour aérosol, présente les propriétés souhaitables de caractéristiques appropriées à la projection par pulvérisation, de formation d'un film de temps Tag, etc.
Sauf le nouveau système des solvants que l'on utilise dans la présente formulation de peintures, les autres paramètres sont essentiellement les mêmes que ceux décrits dans le brevet précité, auquel on pourra se référer pour d'autres aspects de mise en œuvre de l'invention, notamment le récipient pour aérosol, les types et quantités d'agents volatils de propulsion servant à projeter la formulation de peinture, les types de résine filmogène hydrosoluble utilisable, les types de solvants hydrosolubles utilisables, les pigments, etc. En ce qui concerne la neutralisation de la résine pour le rendre hydrosoluble, il a été trouvé qu'avec certains types de résine et pour obtenir une meilleure stabilité de la peinture, il est souhaitable d'effectuer la neutralisation à l'aide d'une amine organique au lieu de l'ammoniac.
La présente invention est illustrée par les exemples suivants montrant des formulations typiques pouvant être emballées ou conditionnées avec un agent propulseur dans un récipient ou bombe pour aérosol et pouvant être appliquées par projection de pulvérisation sur une surface. Ces formulations peuvent être enlevées ou nettoyées à l'eau pendant une période dont le maximum est d'environ 10 minutes après la projection de pulvérisation sur une surface.

Claims (7)
1. Formulation de peinture dans un récipient contenant un agent de propulsion pour formation d'un aérosol, cette formulation étant caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend de 10 à 60% en poids d'une résine filmogène hydrosoluble, de 10 à 30% en poids d'un solvant hydrosoluble de cette résine, 10 à 60% en poids d'un solvant insoluble dans l'eau de cette résine et de pas plus que 8% en poids d'eau.
2. Formulation de peinture selon la revendication I, caractérisée en ce qu'elle comporte moins de 1% en poids d'eau.

REVENDICATIONS
3. Formulation de peinture selon la revendication 2, caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend de 15 à 35% en poids d'une résine filmogène hydrosoluble, 15 à 30% en poids d'un solvant hydrosoluble de cette résine et 25 à 45% en poids d'un solvant insoluble dans l'eau de cette résine.
4. Formulation de peinture selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend jusqu'à un maximum de 40% en poids d'au moins un pigment.
5. Formulation de peinture selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend les ingrédients suivants, dont la proportion est indiquée en pourcentage en poids:
Résine hydrosoluble 10-60%
Solvant hydrosoluble 10-30%
Solvant insoluble dans l'eau 10-60%
Pigments 0-40%
Siccatif 0,01-2,0%
Agent de mouillage 0-3,0%
Agent de nivellement 0-20%
Agent anti-dépôt 0-3,0%
6. Formulation de peinture selon la revendication 3, caractérisée en ce que le solvant, insoluble dans l'eau, de la résine, est du solvant pour peinture.
7. Formulation de peinture selon la revendication 6, caractérisée en ce que le solvant hydrosoluble est choisi parmi l'éther monobutylique de l'éthylène-glycol et l'éther monobu-tylique du diéthylène-glycol et un de leurs mélanges.
