Claims (4)
1. Feste Pigmentfarbstoffzubereitungen, enthaltend in Mischung mit einem oder mehreren Pigmenten ein Isobutyl-methacrylatharz.
2. Feste Pigmentfarbstoffzubereitungen gemäss Patentanspruch 1 enthaltend 10 bis 95% Pigmentfarbstoff und 90 bis 5% unverseifbares Isobutylmethacrylat mit einem Molekulargewicht von 5000 bis 50 000, vorzugsweise 15 000-25 000 einem Schmelzbereich von 80° bis 120°C, vorzugsweise 92° bis 100°C und einer Säurezahl von 0.
3. Verwendung der Pigmentzubereitungen gemäss Patentanspruch 1 zur Massefärbung von Polymeren oder Einfärben von Lacken und Druckfarben.
4. Polymere, Lacke und Druckfarben, gefärbt nach der Verwendung gemäss Anspruch 3.
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft feste Pigmentzubereitungen für Lacke, Druckfarben sowie die Massefärbung von Kunststoffen wie Polyacrylnitril, deren Mischpolymeren wie z.B. mit Butadien und Styrol, Polyvinylchlorid, Polyester, Polyolefinen, Polyamiden und anderen.
Gegenstand dieser Erfindung sind nun solche Pigmentzubereitungen, welche ein oder mehrere Pigmente und Isobutyl-methacrylatharze enthalten.
Im engeren Sinne sind Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung solche Pigmentzubereitungen mit Isobutyl-Methacry-latharzen mit einer Säurezahl von ca. 0, welche unverseifbar sind und deren Molekulargewicht zwischen 5000 und 50 000, bevorzugt zwischen 15 000 und 25 000 und deren Schmelzbereich zwischen 80 und 120°C, bevorzugt zwischen 92 und 100°C liegt, die weiter wasserunlöslich sind, jedoch sehr gut löslich in organischen Lösungsmitteln wie Alkoholen, Ketonen, Estern, Glykolen, Glykolester, wie auch Aromaten-und aliphatischen Kohlenwasserstoffen.
Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung sind auch die Verwendung der genannten Zubereitungen zur Massefärbung von Polymeren oder zum Einfärben von Lacken und Druckfarben sowie endlich die mit den erfindungsgemässen Zubereitungen gefärbten Polymere, Lacke oder Druckfarben selbst.
Die Herstellung der Pigmentzubereitungen erfolgt in bekannter Weise auf kontinuierlich arbeitenden Knetern, Sand- bzw. Perl-Mühlen, Dreiwalzen oder Dissolvern. Bei der Herstellung mittels Knetern werden die Pigmente im aufgeschmolzenen Bindemittel feinverteilt, die Schmelze entweder extrudiert und granuliert, bzw. die erstarrte Schmelze gebrochen und pulverisiert. Zur Herstellung der Pigmentzubereitungen via Sand- bzw. Perlmühlen, Dreiwalzen oder Dissolvern werden die Pigmente dem in organischen Lösungsmitteln gelösten Isobutyl-methacrylatharz zugegeben. Die Feinverteilung erfolgt in bekannter Weise. Die Aufarbeitung zur festen Pigmentzubereitung geschieht entweder über die direkte Trocknung oder über die Fällung der Pigment-Lösemittel-Suspension mit Wasser und anschliessender üblicher Filtration und Trocknung.
Die erhaltenen Pigmentzubereitungen sind somit je nach
Aufbereitung pulver- oder granulatförmig und lassen sich in die obenerwähnten Medien leicht einarbeiten. Die Pigmentzubereitungen weisen im Vergleich zu den Vollpigmenten höhere Farbstärke aus, bezogen auf die Menge Reinpigment.
Derzeit ist es notwendig, für die Einfärbung von Lacken, Druckfarben und der vorgenannten Polymeren jeweils Spezifische Pigmentzubereitungen bzw. Vollpigmente einzusetzen. Durch die universelle Verträglichkeit des Isobutyl-methacry-latharzes der vorliegenden Pigmentzubereitungen ist es möglich, optimale Farbstärke in den vorstehenden Anwendungsgebieten wie Lacken, Druckfarben und Polymeren zu erzielen.
Die erfindungsgemässen Pigmentpräparationen können zwischen 10-95% des Pigments und 90-5% des Methacrylat-harzes enthalten. Ein Bereich von 30-60% Pigment und 70-40% Methacrylatharz ist bevorzugt. Für die erfindungsgemässen Pigmentpräparationen kommem sowohl anorganische Pigmente, beispielsweise Titandioxid, Ca-Carbonat, Eisenoxide, Chromoxid oder ähnliche in Frage; auch die bekannten organischen Pigmente, wie diejenigen die Azo-, Disazo-, Phthalocyanin-, Naphthol AS-, Benzidin-, Isoindolinon-, Chinacridon-, Dioxazin-, Thioindigo- und Perylen-Reihe sind geeignet.
Grundsätzlich sind alle Pigmente, die für die Massefärbung von Polymeren verwendet werden, in Form der erfindungsgemässen Pigmentzubereitungen mit Methacrylaten geeignet.
Die nachfolgenden Beispiele mögen die Erfindung erläutern, begrenzen dieselbe jedoch nicht. Teile sind Gewichtsteile, Prozente sind Gewichtsprozente.
Beispiel 1
Herstellungsvorschrift einer Pigmentzubereitung
50,0 Teile C.I. Pigment Blue 15:3 werden mit 50,0 Teile Iso-butyl-Methacrylatharz, unverseifbar, Säurezahl 0, mittleres MG~ 20 000, Schmelzbereich 90-100°C, während einer Stunde am Turbula-Mischer gemischt. Die Vormischung wird via Dosiereinreichung einem Extruder (Typ ZDS K 28) zugeführt und bei 110°C geknetet.
Die strangförmige Pigmentzubereitung wird mittels Brecher zerkleinert und in einer Kolloplex-Mühle fein gemahlen. Man erhält eine Pigmentzubereitung mit 50% Pigmentgehalt, die sich hervorragend in Lacke und Druckfarben einarbeiten lässt. Ausserdem ist sie für Polyacrylnitril-Masse-spinnfärbung, Massefärbung von Polystyrol, ABS- und SAN-Massefärbung, PVC-Massefärbung und Polyolefine-Massefärbung gut geeignet.
Beispiel 2
Herstellungsvorschrift einer Pigmentzubereitung
30,0 Teile C.I. Pigment Violett 23 werden mit 70,0 Teilen Methacrylatharz gemäss Beispiel 1 während einer Stunde am Turbula-Mischer gemischt. Diese Vormischung wird via Dosiereinrichtung einem Extruder (Typ ZDS K 28) zugefügt und bei 110°C geknetet.
Die strangförmige Pigmentzubereitung wird mittels Brecher zerkleinert und mit einer Kolloplex-Mühle feingemahlen. Man erhält eine Pigmentzubereitung mit 30% Pigmentgehalt, die sich ohne Schwierigkeiten in die im Beispiel 1 aufgeführten Systeme einarbeiten lässt.
