Abstract

The divers' watch has a watch casing (1) and a recording ring (2) for setting the diving time, which ring (2) is rotatably mounted on the casing (1). The recording ring (2) has a plurality of grooves (3) on its underside, is prestressed by means of elastic locking parts and is held by means of a holding ring (19) which is fastened to the casing (1). A plurality of locking grooves (24) are provided on the periphery of the watch casing (1). A locking pin (23) projects from the inside of the recording ring (2) and engages in one of the locking grooves (24), so that the recording ring (2) is locked with respect to the watch casing (1). If the recording ring is pressed downwards against the locking parts, the locking pin (23) is released, so that the recording ring (2) can be rotated. This results in a design which is simple from a mechanical viewpoint, but which nonetheless provides a high degree of reliability against unwanted displacement. <IMAGE>
