in der DE-AS 11 91 465 beschrieben.

The present invention relates to an electrical switch according to the preamble of claim 1.
Switches with high switching capacities mostly have main contacts for the nominal current and quenching contacts for the breaking current. The delete contacts open after the main contacts and usually close beforehand. So-called contact tulips are often used, which divide a contact piece into several contacts. A switch of this type is e.g.
described in DE-AS 11 91 465. A high contact pressure is necessary, especially with the extinguishing contacts on the front, and therefore also a high drive power, in order to avoid opening before the commutation time.
Further relevant prior art results from the publications EP-PS 0 002 685, CH-PS 264 111, US-PS 2439 952, US-PS 3 858 015 and GB-PS 375 309.
It was the object of the invention to design a switch in accordance with the type specified in the preamble in such a way that a high pressing force of the quenching contacts can be achieved with simple technical means, without having to use large energies to separate the quenching contacts.
The solution to the problem is evident from the features in the characterizing part of patent claim 1.
The advantage of the invention is, in particular, that the magnet coil connected to an erase contact attracts the other erase contact containing ferromagnetic material and thus causes the necessary contact pressure of the erase contacts. The contact pressure depends, among other things, on the size of the current flowing in the solenoid. When the extinguishing contacts are separated, the attraction decreases with the increase in air gap.
Advantageous developments of the invention are described in the dependent claims.
According to claim 2, an arc rotation coil with an iron core that already exists in the switch for other reasons is used, so that only the inventive embodiment of an extinguishing contact is necessary.
The embodiment according to claim 3 increases the commutation voltage at the main contacts during the switch-off.
The constructive solution according to claim 4 is particularly useful for large currents.
Claim 5 describes the embodiment in which the contact pressure is advantageously used.
The embodiment according to claim 6 enables the dynamic switching forces to be kept small.
The invention is explained in more detail below with the aid of simplified drawings. An example of a switch according to the invention with a coaxial nozzle is shown, the upper part of the drawing showing the switched on position and the lower part showing the switched off position.
A movable main contact (1) is divided into several contact fingers. An immobile main contact (1 ') is designed as a ring. A movable extinguishing contact (2) touches an immovable extinguishing contact (3) as a contact ring in several places in the upper part (according to the drawing).
A follower ring (4) is slidably mounted on the fixed main contact (1 '), which is supported by a spring (9) and consists of polytetrafluoroethylene, the extinguishing property of which is known. A two-part nozzle (5) forms a channel in the axis of the switch. In the left part of the drawing, a magnet coil (6) is shown, which in this exemplary embodiment is an arc rotation coil and is provided with an iron core (7). With the exception of the contact surfaces, the movable extinguishing contact (2) is made of steel and is therefore predominantly ferromagnetic. It is supported in the switch-on direction by a spring (8). An air gap between the movable extinguishing contact (2) and the immovable extinguishing contact (3) is denoted by a in the outer zone of the extinguishing contacts (2, 3) and by b in the inner zone.
The switch is shown in the closed position in the upper part of the drawing. The ferromagnetic part of the immovable quenching contact (3) serves as an extension of the iron core (7) of the magnet coil (6). For reasons of clarity, the ferromagnetic parts are hatched with dashed lines.
The moving quenching contact (2) is electromagnetically attracted to the immovable quenching contact (3) by the attraction of the magnetic coil (6). The spring (8) also pushes the extinguishing contact (2) into the switched-on position.
The switched-off position of the switch is shown in the lower part of the drawing. The movable part with the movable erase contact (2) and the movable main contact (1) was pulled to the right in a manner known per se. First, the main contacts (1, 1 ') separate, the spring (9) pushing the follower ring (4) to the right over the fixed main contact (1'). After that, the delete contacts (2, 3) were also disconnected. This pulling away of the movable contact requires a certain amount of energy, which, however, does not have to be large, because with the enlargement of the air gaps a and b the attraction immediately decreases significantly. The arc rotation coil (6) connected in series with the quenching contacts (2, 3) increases the commutation voltage at the main contacts (1, 1 ') during the switch-off, which is particularly advantageous in the case of large currents.
The subject of the invention is not limited to that shown in the drawing. The extinguishing contact arrangement described can also be used with other types of switches known per se, such as e.g. for switches with a compression piston, with compression by arc heating or with a combination of different pressure systems.
