PATENTANSPRÜCHE

PATENT CLAIMS
1.Reinforcement mat for reinforced concrete, consisting of intersecting longitudinal elements and cross wires welded to each other at the crossing points, in which the two outer longitudinal elements on each mat edge have smaller cross-sectional areas than the other longitudinal elements, characterized in that the transverse wires (4) over each mat edge the longitudinal edge element (3) protrude, loop-shaped (5; 7) bent back and at least welded to the longitudinal edge element (3).
2. Reinforcement mat according to claim 1, characterized in that the bent back transverse wires are also welded to the longitudinal element (2) adjacent to the longitudinal edge element.
3. Reinforcement mat according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that all the longitudinal elements (1, 2, 3; 8, 2, 3) are arranged at the same center distances (a) and that the two outer longitudinal elements (2, 3) on each mat edge have at least approximately half the cross-sectional area of the remaining longitudinal elements (1; 8).
4. Reinforcement mat according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the two outer longitudinal elements (2, 3) are single wires on each edge of the mat and the remaining longitudinal elements (8) are double wires.
The invention relates to a reinforcement mat for reinforced concrete, consisting of crossing longitudinal elements and cross wires welded together at the crossing points, in which the two outer longitudinal elements have smaller cross-sectional areas on each mat edge than the other longitudinal elements.
Mats of this type are known from AT-PS 315 443.
Because of their small width in relation to their length, reinforcement meshes are laid in such a way that the reinforcement mesh spans the entire length of one component in one direction, while the reinforcement is composed of several meshes laid side by side in the direction orthogonal to it. In order to be able to absorb the forces running across the longitudinal elements of the mats in the component through the cross wires of the mats in this way of laying, it is necessary that the edges of adjacent mats overlap to a certain extent so that the forces running in this direction result from the Cross wires of a mat can be transferred to those of the neighboring mat.
The width of the required overlapping of the mat edges depends on whether the cross wires of the mats only have to act as reinforcement for the absorption of small, non-calculated or detectable forces or as calculated reinforcing force-absorbing reinforcement.
In the first case, it is sufficient to let the edges of adjacent mats overlap one another only by a mesh size. In the second case, however, an overlapping of the mat edges over three stitches is generally considered necessary.
The design of mats of the type specified in the introduction has the purpose of ensuring an at least approximately uniform distribution of the related steel cross-sectional area within the entire reinforced area when the mats are laid with overlapping edges.
When the mat edges are laid covered, one of a neighboring mat comes to lie next to each longitudinal element of a mat in the entire covering area. By appropriate selection of the cross-sectional areas of the longitudinal edge elements of the mats, the related steel cross-sectional area in the covering area resulting from the pair-wise arrangement of these longitudinal elements when laying adjacent mats with overlapping edges can be varied within wide limits as desired, such that the related steel cross-sectional area in the coverage areas are the same or only slightly larger than those in the uncovered interior areas of the mats.
From these considerations, however, a disadvantage of the known mat of the type indicated in the introduction can already be seen. Since both cases with only one mesh size overlap and cases with three mesh widths overlap the edges of neighboring mats must be taken into account, the consistent pursuit of the effort to achieve a uniform steel cross-sectional area in the entire reinforced area requires the provision of two Mats of the same type that are completely the same apart from the number of longitudinal edge elements with a reduced cross-section.
The manufacture and storage of the mats are made considerably more difficult, because in any case a large number of mats of different types, which differ from one another only in terms of the related steel cross-sectional area, must be produced and kept in stock. If two mats with different edge configurations are to be made available within each type, the total number of mats to be produced and kept in stock will double.
The invention is now concerned with the task of designing mats of the type specified in the introduction in such a way that unnecessary accumulations of steel as a result of double longitudinal elements in the area of coverage of adjacent mats are avoided, without it being necessary to have two each different only in terms of the range, but otherwise having to manufacture and store completely identical mats of every type for different joint designs.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the transverse wires protrude beyond the longitudinal edge element on each mat edge, are bent back in the form of a loop and are at least welded to the longitudinal edge element.
The invention is described in more detail below on the basis of exemplary embodiments.
Figures 1 and 4 show cross sections through various embodiments of the edge areas of reinforcement meshes according to the invention, Figures 2, 3 and 5 plan views of such meshes.
As can be seen from Figure 1, all longitudinal elements 1, 2, 3 have the same center distance a from each other. The longitudinal elements 1 in the interior of the mats have a larger diameter or larger cross-sectional area than the longitudinal elements 2, 3 on each mat edge. In Figure 1, all the longitudinal elements are shown as individual wires, but they can also be designed differently, without changing the essence of the invention, for example as pairs of wires arranged at a mutual distance, between which, at other mutual distances, the adhesion of the longitudinal elements are welded into concrete-improving cross connectors.
The cross wires 4 protrude from the longitudinal elements 3 at each edge of the mat and are bent back in a loop and welded to the longitudinal longitudinal elements 3.
As can be seen from FIG. 3, transverse wires 6 can also be provided, the end parts of which are particularly long and are formed into loops 7 such that they can be welded to the longitudinal edge elements 3 and to the longitudinal elements 2 adjacent to them.
A differently designed mat according to the invention
4 and 5. This mat has longitudinal elements 8 which are designed as double wires, each of the wires forming the double wires 8 having the same cross-sectional area as the individual wires 2, 3 at the edge of the mat.
In this case too, the transverse wires could be designed either according to FIG. 5 or according to FIG. 3.
When laying the mat according to the invention, two adjacent mats are always arranged so that the longitudinal element 3 comes to rest on the edge of one mat next to the longitudinal element 2 on the associated edge of the neighboring mat.
Since this type of laying not only overlaps an edge stitch of each of the two mats with an edge stitch of the neighboring mat, but also also the loop 5 or 7 engages in the area of the respective neighboring mat, the entire, im Cross wire maximum possible force can be transferred from one cross wire of a mat to a cross wire of the neighboring mat. In the case of mats according to the invention, this single type of laying the edges of adjacent mats can therefore take on the function of both a distributor and a supporting joint. It is therefore not necessary to provide two different mats of each type for two different coverage widths of the mat edges.
