Abstract

The date-indicating runner (10) is actuated automatically at month end so that its indicating member keeps up to date. To do this, the cam (23) is driven at a rate of one step per day four days in succession at each month end. In months of fewer than 31 days, the yoke (26) drops into a cleft in the cam, thus engaging the sliding-gear pinion (30) with the toothing (35) of the date-drive runner (7). The runner (10) is thus driven 1, 2 or 3 steps in a period of a few hours after the finger (8) has made it execute its usual switching movement. To ensure an additional 2 and not 3 switchings at the end of February in leap years, the cam (23) carries a satellite (46) whose finger (48) prolongs the corresponding lug of the cam (23) when the latter is in front of the beak (26b) of the yoke, once every 4 revolutions. <IMAGE>
