Abstract

In order to provide a vast selection of different aesthetics for a single watch, the clasp allows very easy changing of the branches of the strap. The clasp (19, 23) has the general shape of a U. One branch is able to pass through a loop (3, 4) solid with the watch case. This branch comprises a recess into which the wall of the loop (3, 4) fits, the subsequent insertion of the end of the strap locking the loop in this recess. Complete removal of the clasp is possible when the strap has firstly been removed. The watch can thus also be used hanging. The invention applies advantageously to modern watches of compact type, making elaborate use of synthetic materials. <IMAGE>
