Abstract

The explosive device, designed to destroy weaponry on the ground, has a detonator with a pyrotechnic circuit (7,10), interrupted by a safety mechanism (8) and a clockwork mechanism (14) which can be adjusted by a transmission system (12) to release the ignition after a set time. The device can also incorporate a central clock and a coupling which can be used to set off the clockwork mechanism and detonator after a set period of time, e.g. by a signal. The safety mechanism (8) can incorporate a rotary pin, linked to a rotor which is locked until just before the expiry of the time set by a segment driven by the clockwork mechanism.
