Beschreibung
Die Erfindung betrifft schwerentflammbare Copo-lyamide und daraus hergestellte Formkörper.
Als flammhemmende Additive für Polymere, speziell für Polyamide gehören zum wohlbekannten Stand der Technik Melaminverbindungen, speziell Melamincyanurat, Magnesium- und Aluminium-Hy-droxyd, halogenierte, speziell bromierte organische Verbindungen, besonders in Kombination mit Schwermetallsalzen, Phosphor allein und in Kombination mit halogenhaltigen Verbindungen.
Diese Additive sind für transparente Polyamide und Copolyamide ungeeignet, da sie die Transparenz negativ beeinflussen.
Aufgabe war daher, ein transparentes schwerentflammbares Copolyamid zur Verfügung zu stellen.
Sie wird gelöst durch die Copolyamide des Anspruchs 1 und durch die Formkörper des Anspruchs 9.
Sie wird insbesondere gelöst durch transparente Copolyamide mit 0,5 bis 40 Gew.-Anteilen mindestens einer Alkylphosphorsäure-Verbindung.
Besonders vorteilhaft für die erfindungsgemässen Copolyamide ist, dass die gelösten Phosphorsäureverbindungen nicht migrieren und dass deshalb auf Formteilen aus den erfindungsgemässen Copo-lyamiden keine störende Belagbildung auftritt.
Ein weiterer Vorteil sind die durch die gelösten flammhemmenden Additive praktisch unveränderten mechanischen Eigenschaften der Copolyamide respektive ihrer Formkörper.
Besonders vorteilhaft ist auch, dass die erfindungsgemässen Copolyamide bereits mit Additiv-Anteilen um 4 bis 10 Gew.-% flammhemmend modifiziert sind.
So sind für ein Copolyamid vom Typ PA 61/ MACM T oder PA 12/MACMI 5 Gew-% des Additivs notwendig, um im Standard-Verbrennungstest UL 94 Vo zu erreichen.
Als erfindungsgemässe Copolyamide sind solche zu verstehen, die aus den Monomeren des PA 6, PA 11 oder PA 12 oder aus aliphatischen Diaminen mit 4 bis 12 C-Atomen, cycloaliphatischen Diaminen mit 7 bis 22 C-Atomen oder aromatischen respektive araliphatischen Diaminen mit 6 bis 22 C-Atomen und aliphatischen Dicarbonsäuren mit 4 bis 36 C-Atomen, cycloaliphatischen Dicarbonsäuren mit 8 bis 24 C-Atomen und aromatischen Dicarbonsäuren mit 8 bis 20 C-Atomen kondensiert sind. Die Copolyamide können auch Blends von mehreren Copolyamiden oder Copolyamiden mit semikristallinen Polyamiden sein, solange sie transparent sind.
Das flammhemmende Additiv ist ein aliphatischer Polyolester einer alkylierten Phosphorsäure. Bevorzugtes Additiv ist der Trimethylpropanolester einer Methylphosphorsäure.
Die schwerentflammbaren Formkörper aus den erfindungsgemässen transparenten Copolyamiden sind in Form und Ausdehnung nicht begrenzt, besonders da die bereits für den Vo-Wert notwendigen Anteilmengen des Additivs im Polymer um 5 Gew.-% die mechanischen Werte nicht beeinflussen.
Claims (10)
1. Schwerentflammbares transparentes Copolyamid, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es als flammhemmendes Additiv mindestens eine gelöste Alkylphosphorsäureverbindung enthält.
2. Copolyamid gemäss Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es die Alkylphosphorsäureverbindung in Anteilen von 0,5 bis 40 Gew.-% enthält.
3. Copolyamid gemäss Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es die Alkylphosphorsäureverbindung in Anteilen von 4 bis 10 Gew.-% enthält.
4. Copolyamid gemäss Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Copolyamide solche auf Basis der Monomeren des PA 6, 11 oder 12 sind.

Copolyamid gemäss einem der voranstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Monomeren des Copolyamid ausgewählt sind aus der Gruppe aliphatische Diamine mit 4 bis 12 C-Atomen, cycloaliphatische Diamine mit 7 bis 22 C-Atomen und aromatischen Diamine mit 6 bis 22 C-Atomen in Kombination mit Monomeren der Gruppe aliphatischen Dicarbonsäuren mit 4 bis 36 C-Ato-men, cycloaliphatischen Dicarbonsäuren mit 8 bis 24 C-Atomen und aromatischen Dicarbonsäuren mit 8 bis 20 C-Atomen.
6. Copolyamid gemäss einem der voranstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es ein Blend aus mehreren transparenten Copolyamiden ist.
7. Copolyamid gemäss einem der voranstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das flammhemmende Additiv ein Ester aus einem aliphatischen Polyol und einer alkylierten Phosphorsäure ist.
8. Copolyamid gemäss einem der voranstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das flammhemmende Additiv ein Trimethylpropanol-Ester einer Methylphosphorsäure ist.
9. Schwerentflammbare Formkörper aus transparenten Copolyamiden gemäss einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7.
10. Verwendung von Alkylphosphorsäure-Ester als flammhemmendes Additiv zur Herstellung von Formkörpern aus transparenten Copolyamiden.
