Abstract

The connector terminal for used with electrical equipment is in the form of a metal pressing 1 that has a U shaped centre section that has a pair of parallel arms 9 and these are separated by a variable width gap. At the lower end the gap is wide enough for the diameter of an electrical wire core. When the wire is pushed into position the sides of the arms penetrate the insulation to make contact.

Description

Fig. 2 in schaubildartiger Teildarstellung die Anordnung gemäss Fig. 1 mit freigegebenem, ursprünglich innen liegend aufgeschaltetem Draht.

The present invention relates to a wiring terminal for a solderless insulation displacement wire connection of electrically insulated wire conductors, with at least one, at least one wire receiving, tapering downward cutting slot.

In all areas of low-voltage technology, solderless wiring is becoming increasingly important. It has become common practice to insert two electrically insulated cable cores one after the other in the respective clamping cutting slot of the wiring terminals, which are generally arranged in modularly constructed contact holders, for solder-free insulation displacement connection.

A significant disadvantage of such double circuits is the need to switch over or replace, among other things. of the inner wire must first have to remove the outer wire from the relevant clamping cutting slot, which is very cumbersome and can lead to malfunctions in circuits which are not affected per se.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a wiring terminal for solder-free insulation displacement wiring of electrically insulated wire conductors of the aforementioned type, which permits removal of the wire which is inside the clamping cutting slot without first having to remove the wire which is inside the clamping cutting slot ,

This is achieved according to the invention in that the clamping cutting slot at its inner end changes into a hole-shaped or slot-shaped extension of a clear width at least approximately at the outside diameter of the wire that can be connected.

These measures now make it possible to push the wire that is connected on the inside further into the extension to remove it, whereupon it can be released and removed without touching the wire that was originally connected on the outside and thus the wire Maintains switching function. A new second wire can then be switched on again as the one lying outside in the clamping cutting slot, whereupon the previously outside wire becomes the inside.

An example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. Show it:

Fig. 1 in a diagram-like partial representation of a contact holder with wiring terminals for solderless insulation displacement wire connection, wherein a wiring terminal has a double circuit, and
Fig. 2 in a diagram-like partial representation of the arrangement according to Fig. 1 with released, originally inserted wire inside.

Fig. 1 shows a diagram-like partial representation of a contact holder 1 with wiring clamps 2 for solder-free insulation displacement connection of electrically insulated cable wires, the front wiring terminal here being a double circuit with an inner wire 3 and an outer wire 4 in a downward direction has tapered clamping cutting slot 5.

According to the invention, the clamping cutting slot 5 merges at its inner end into a hole-shaped or slot-shaped extension 6 with a clear width of at least approximately the outside diameter of the wire 3 that can be connected, or respectively. 4th

As illustrated in FIG. 2, it is now possible to push the wire 3, which is connected on the inside, further inward into the extension 6 to remove it, whereupon this wire 3 is released and can be removed there without the wire which was originally connected on the outside 4 of which is touched and thus maintains its switching function.

A new second wire can then be switched on again as the one lying outside in the clamping cutting slot 5, whereupon the previously outside wire becomes the inside.

  Protection is claimed as follows:
