Description

for loading and unloading an automatic washing machine, the washing chamber of which can be closed by means of a swiveling appliance door, in particular an automatic washing machine for the laboratory and hospital area, the trolley being parked in front of the opened washing room during loading.

In commercial dishwashers, in particular in automatic dishwashers used in the laboratory and hospital area, it is for the transport of medical items to be cleaned, such as breathing tubes, catheters, surgical instruments, pipettes or the like. equipped heavy load items known to use so-called transport trolleys. For example, a transport trolley for an automatic dishwasher with a device door that can be opened from the front is known, the storage surface of which for the wash wagon lies at the level of the device door swung open in a horizontal door open position. The inside of the swiveled-in appliance door serves as a running surface for the use of dishes. The well-known transport trolley (cf.

DE 19 513 994 A1), as a supply and disposal trolley for the items to be washed, has impellers which are provided with foot brakes so that the transport trolley remains positioned in front of the automatic washer as smoothly as possible, even on smooth or tiled floors. To further prevent the trolley from rolling away, the transport trolley is also equipped with a docking device that engages with the washing machine during loading and unloading.

By adapting the height of the storage area of the transport trolley to the door height of the open appliance door of the dishwasher, there is often a problem in the confined installation space for the dishwasher, which can be seen in the fact that the transport trolley can no longer be viewed from the front in front of the horizontally opened appliance door for loading. or unloading the machine. In such a case, where there is insufficient space for maneuvering the trolley, the trolley can only be moved to the side of the appliance door. The heavy washware carrier must then be laboriously lifted manually onto the running surface of the appliance door so that it can then be pushed into the wash cabinet.

It is therefore up to the skill of the operator to safely transport the heavy items to be loaded from the trolley into the washing area of the machine or vice versa. This kind of handling of the washware inserts is also very problematic. Delicate wash items can break.

On the basis of a transport trolley of the type mentioned at the outset, the object of the invention is to design the transport trolley in such a way that loading and unloading of the automatic washing machine can be carried out safely and easily, even in the case of very cramped automatic washing machine installation rooms, and lifting of the wash wagons is avoided.

The invention solves this problem by the features of claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention can be found in the dependent claims.

Due to the inventive arrangement of a height-adjustable carrying device on the trolley frame of the trolley for receiving the items to be washed and the insertability of the trolley frame under the appliance door of the automatic washing machine, the transport trolley can be maneuvered easily and safely even in very cramped installation spaces for the automatic washing machine. To load the wash container, the washware insert is raised by the lifting device to such an extent that it can drive over the swung open appliance door. For removal from the trolley, the items to be washed are then lowered in the correct direction onto the inner door panel of the open appliance door for insertion into the wash cabinet. This automatically uncouples the washware insert.

Because the wash ware can be transported without pressing or manually lifting the wash inserts, delicate wash ware is also protected.

The following description serves to explain the subject matter according to the invention, an exemplary embodiment of which is shown in the drawings. 1 shows a side view of a washing machine in a simplified representation, with a coupled transport carriage with a lifting device for items to be washed, FIG. 2 shows the transport carriage with a washing article insert in a perspective view, FIG. 3 shows an empty transport carriage consisting of a low and a high frame part, in a perspective front view, the lifting device being lowered into a lower position, FIG. 4 the transport trolley according to FIG. 3 in a rear view, FIG. 5 the transport trolley in a perspective front view, the lifting device being raised into an upper position, 6 the transport trolley according to FIG. 5 in the rear view, FIG.

7 shows the transport trolley with raised washware insert in a perspective front view, FIG. 8 shows the transport trolley with lowered washware insert in a perspective front view.

A washing machine designated in FIG. 1 for (1) the laboratory and hospital area has a washing room (3) which can be closed by an appliance door (2). The appliance door (2) can be pivoted about a horizontal bearing axis (4) into an approximately horizontal door open position. In the automatic dishwasher (1), medical items such as breathing tubes, catheters, surgical instruments, pipettes or the like are cleaned, disinfected and dried in a program-controlled manner. The wash ware, not shown in more detail, is sorted in a manner known per se into a movable wash ware insert (6) provided with wheels (5) or service trolley for treatment in the automatic washing machine (1). The washware insert (6) equipped in this way is picked up by a transport trolley (7), FIGS. 2 to 5 and transported to the automatic washing machine (1) and after processing back to the laboratory or OR workstation.

When fully loaded, the washware insert (6) has a considerable weight. Fig. 2 shows a washware insert (6) in a slightly different design, the double arrow indicating the height adjustability of the washware insert (6) by the lifting device (9) described below.

The trolley (7) with its trolley frame (8) can be inserted under the appliance door (2) of the automatic dishwasher (1) and is provided with a lifting device (9) on the trolley frame (8) for lifting and lowering the washware insert (6). The carriage frame (8) can be inserted under the open appliance door (2) from the front of the appliance door (2), as shown in FIG. 1, or from the door side. Pushing in from the side is to be used if there is not enough space in front of the washing machine (1) for maneuvering. Maneuvering can therefore be carried out advantageously even in very cramped automatic washing machine installation rooms.

As can be clearly seen from Fig. 3, the carriage frame (8) of the transport carriage (7) is like a chair from a low under the horizontally open appliance door (2) of the automatic dishwasher (1) from the front and from the side sliding low frame part (8a ) and from a vertical frame part (8b) attached to it and projecting beyond the level of the open appliance door (2). The lifting device (9) for the insertable washware insert (6) is formed on the vertical frame part (8b). 3, the lifting device (9) is in the lower position, in which the washware insert (6) can be suspended in the frame of the lifting device (9).

To hang up the washware insert (6), it has two angled hooks (10) on its side facing the frame part (8b), see FIG. 7 and 8) which releasably engage in a corresponding suspension device (11) of the lifting device (9), cf. also Fig. 2, 3 u. 5. The threading of the wash ware insert (6) into the hooking device (11) takes place automatically as well as the notching when the wash ware insert (6) is lowered. Fig. 7 shows the trolley (7) with a wash load insert (6) in the raised position (see double arrow). The hand crank (16) is pivoted into its right position (FIG. 6). 7 u. 8, the washware insert (6) from FIG. 2 is only indicated with its lower frame part.

The lifting device (9) of the carriage frame (8), see. 2 to 8, consists of an eccentric mechanism (12) consisting of a crossbar (13) vertically displaceable on the vertical frame part (8b) and a rotatable eccentric wheel (14) between the movable crossbar (13) and a stationary crossbar (15) the carriage frame (8b). The eccentric wheel (14) is mounted on the fixed crossbar (15) and is adjustable by means of a hand crank (16). The hand crank (16) is designed as a lever with a handle (18) which can be pivoted parallel to the vertical frame part (8b). The eccentric wheel (14) is assigned a counter-pressure point with a rotatably mounted pressure roller (17) on the vertically displaceable crossbar (13).

The low frame part (8a) that can be inserted under the open appliance door (2) runs parallel to the appliance door (2) and is designed with a removable sump (19), which prevents water, blood or the like from getting into the washware insert (6) drips the floor. The detachable drip pan (19) is stamped approx. 10 mm deep. There is a drain plug at its lowest point to make cleaning the tub easier.

To secure the raised washware insert (6), the eccentric mechanism (12) is provided with a backstop, which has latching positions (21) in the form of bores or the like for the hand crank (16) which are distributed in a latching plate (20). Different lifting heights of the items to be washed are thus possible. The handle (18) is spring-back mounted horizontally on the hand crank (16) and provided on the back with a locking bolt (not shown) that falls into the bores. The locking plate (20) as a cladding or protective plate of the lifting device (9) of the transport carriage (7) is attached to the outside of the vertical frame part (8b).

To load the automatic dishwasher (1), the washware insert (6) equipped with the known washware (not shown in detail) is raised by the lifting device (9) to such an extent that it can run over the swung open appliance door (2) without touching it. If the transport trolley (7) is aligned, the washware insert (6) is located above the opened door in front of the rails (22) in the wash cabinet (3). The transport trolley (7) is centered on the horizontally open appliance door (2) and, if a corresponding docking device (24) is installed on the trolley and the door, docks on the appliance door (2).

A door centering or docking device (24) is located on the vertical frame part (8b) for positioning the transport carriage (7). A stop (27) is provided on the frame part (8b) of the transport trolley (7) for positioning the attached washware insert (6) on the trolley. For this purpose, the washware insert (6) is provided with support elements (28) which run against the stops (27) of the transport carriage (7). If the transport trolley (7) is centered on the swung open appliance door (2) and secured against moving, the washware insert (6) can be lowered by means of the lifting device (9) and brought into its unloading position. The washware insert (6) is lowered onto the inner door panel (23) of the open appliance door (2) with the exact same trace. When this position is reached, the hooks (10) are released from the hanging device (11).

To lower the washware insert (6), the hand crank (16) is pivoted to the left after releasing the backstop, the eccentric wheel (14) lowering the crossbar (13) supported by the weight of the insert (6). The washware insert (6) then unlocked can then be pushed into the wash cabinet (3). This is easy to accomplish, since the running rails (22) of the washing compartment (3) lie at the level of the opened door (2). When removing the insert from the wash cabinet (3), the procedure is reversed.

As already mentioned above, the transport trolley (7) can be provided with a docking device (24) which corresponds to coupling elements on the front side of the opened appliance door (2). Such a docking device (24) is designed to be self-centering, the centering elements (25) for the appliance door (2) being designed in a wedge-shaped orientation on opposite sides of the vertical frame part. The design of the centering elements (25) is such that they automatically dip into safety devices on the ends of the door ends. A safety device connected to the lifting device (9) can also be installed here, which only activate or unlock the lifting device (9) when the carriage is securely docked on the appliance door (2).

The wash ware is transported without pushing or manually lifting the wash inserts. This protects delicate dishes.

The transport trolley (7) can be adjusted to different working heights so that it can be used for automatic dishwashers (1) with any appliance door height. In addition, the trolley (7) according to FIGS. 1 to 8 is provided with locking devices or foot brakes (26) for its wheels. If no self-locking docking device (24) is installed, the transport trolley (7) can also be positioned securely in its loading or unloading position using these wheel locking devices.
