On arrive donc pratiquement à la même situation qu’avec la méthode d’étampage. En introduisant le tenon 8 dans la mortaise 3 l’extrémité 11 du tenon rentre aussi dans la creusure 4 ce qui assure un positionnement précis de la corne 6. Ensuite on introduit dans les trous 5 et sa continuité 9 une cheville 10 ce qui permet d’assurer la fixation de la corne 6 sur la carrure 1. La cheville 10 peut être tout élément permettant d’assurer la tenue du tenon 8 dans la mortaise 3 mais de préférence une vis 10. Si la cheville 10 est une vis, les trous 5 ou 9 ou les deux sont taraudés. De préférence le trou 9 est conique et l’extrémité de la vis 10 aussi permettant de bien pousser au fond de la mortaise 3 le tenon 8.
