Abstract

The clamp (3) has a central body divided into two half frames that are connected by a C-frame shaft to permit movement of rotation of the half frames such that the wheels that are not connected by axles, follow left side of a railway track. Two compression and traction cylinders have lower parts attached to supports on which maintaining cylinders are positioned to constantly maintain pressure on wheel flanges such that the clamp observes variation of spacing of the flanges to allow centering of the clamp. Roller screws are situated on auxiliary beams for aligning switches (43) in the track.

Description

1. Domaine technique1. Technical field

The present invention relates to the field of maintenance of railway tracks and in particular that which relates to switches and crossings, this maintenance is essential because traffic and atmospheric agents destroy the initial geometry of laying the track with its switches , and if its state is not rectified, the material undergoes an inadmissible wear, even dangerous for the safety of the traffic. Machines that rectify this geometry of the track are called tampers-graders-trainers, because they have a system to lift (level) and riper (erect) the track using previously measured correction values, or measurement systems solidarity of the machine, as well as tamping tools that bring the ballast back under the sleepers while compacting it, filling in the voids created by the leveling of the rail. In order to work on the switches, there are, because of the particular shape of the latter, either specialized tampers or tampers combined, namely capable of working both in the full track and in the turnouts. This invention is mainly for the latter type of machines.

2. Etat de la technique2. State of the art

US Patent 4,825,768 discloses a device for leveling and training points, which can lift for example the outer rail of the deflected route of the switch as an adjunction of the leveling-training clamp of the machine, so as not to unbalance the switch, by means of a simple clamp which grasps the outer rail of the deflection, which clamp is pulled vertically by a cable which becomes horizontal in its upper part by passing on a pulley, this cable being pulled by a horizontal cylinder which is on a telescopic beam, fixed on the upper horizontal plane of the frame of the tamper, the purpose of said telescopic beam being that of moving away or bringing the auxiliary clamp of the machine according to the position of the rail of the "deflected track".

All this device is in front of the leveling-straightening clamp of the tamper, at some distance from it, which results in a great inaccuracy of work, since the synchronization between the movements of the device and those of the leveling-training clamp is very difficult to achieve, especially since the device in question is, by design very labile. In addition, it requires additional manpower dedicated to the operation and monitoring of the device itself, which increases the insecurity of work because the area of intervention may be close to traffic. From all this follows an increase in working time with all its consequences (longer interval and higher costs).

Moreover, this device does not work on the same plane as that of the clamp which exerts a portion of the leveling forces and training, whose reactions are normally reflected on the frame of the tamping machine. The actuation of the additional system also generates additional torque on the frame of the machine, but not in the same place, which generates additional stresses and deformations in the chassis, which must be taken into account during the machine project and which weigh down this one because of the necessary reinforcements to foresee.

US Patent 5,299,505 goes in the same direction as the previous and describes a similar concept device, but improved in its implementation, while keeping much of the defects described above by design. The machine is also at a distance from the leveling-straightening clamp of the machine, in its front part, with respect to the direction of work. Like the previous system, on the horizontal plane (dressing) and on the vertical plane (leveling), the machine takes a large part of the reaction forces due to the elastic deformation of the switch itself, added to the forces required to level and trainer, exerted on the said switch for its correction, which would impose a very rigid construction, so heavy, the machine in question, which is not the case in its realization.

When there is this kind of devices studied to help the leveling-training clamp of the machine to balance the switch that is being lifted for leveling and training, together with the clamp of the tamper, you have to follow this work in two places, which is very difficult and creates the following two problems: The first is that of having to perform a synchronization between the work of the gripper and that of the complementary system, which is complex and expensive and whose accuracy of execution is uncertain or impossible with respect to the requirements of the railway administrations. The second is that the handling of such a system is necessarily very slow and imprecise, it requires additional experienced manpower for monitoring and measuring the movements of the switch at this point of lifting and therefore an interval of rather long work, which helps to increase the costs of the operation.

3. Exposé de l’invention3. Presentation of the invention

The present invention aims to remedy the drawbacks and defects described above and in doing so to solve the problem of rectification with a continuous or discontinuous tamping machine, a switch or switchgear, by providing a combined clamp who works as well in the full lane as in switches or lane apparatus. Working in the latter the so-called combined gripper allows simultaneous leveling / dressing of the switch at least to the point where the "deflected track" separates from the "direct track", this without any additional external devices, which advantage allows more precise work done by following, from the beginning to the end of the referral without any resumption or stop, thus a faster, more precise and safer execution, respecting without any problem the prescriptions emanating from the railway administrations.

FIG. 1a shows the assembly 3 of the combined gripper of the invention which equips a tamper 1 (shown in elevation), in place of one of the usual leveling-training clamps that we see on the current tampers, positioned in front of the tamping units 2, the direction of work is shown by the arrow X, the machine is in working position. In fig. 1b the said clamp 3 is in position-up-the-foot, or raised, as are also the stuffing units 2. The assembly 3 of the clamp is also visible, without the machine, for a better understanding, in the plan view of FIG. 2, at the end of the work of rectifying the switch 43, because indeed it is at the exit of said switch 43, or where the "direct way" and "deviated way" separate. This view clearly shows the extent of the possibility of one-piece hooking of said combined clamp 3 in question, because its auxiliary hook 39 grasps the outer rail 45 of the "deflected track". This clamp is composed of two half-frames 22a and 22b of Figs. 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9, connected by the axis 36 of FIG. 3 in the box "C", this arrangement allowing the four wheels 25 (Figures 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9) on which the clamp is based, to always correctly follow the existing left in the way, because the wheels are not connected by axles and that secondly the two half-frame 22a and 22b can rotate about the axis 36 relative to each other. These half-frames 22a and 22b are each equipped with two gripping rollers 28 used mainly in line, controlled by the cylinders 19 which rest on the supports 20 which are welded on the half-frames 22a and 22b, and a hook of gripping 44 of FIGS. 8 and 9, which can move transversely to the track through the cylinders 24 of Figs. 3, 4 and 5, so as to widen their gripping zone and they can also move vertically in three positions, that is to say "walk-up-foot", that of gripping the rail under his foot and that of gripping rail under its mushroom, this with the hydraulic mechanisms 40 of fig. 3, 4 and 5. Then there are the cylinders 16 (FIG 4) with built-in position sensor, which ensure the leveling races, which are fixed at their upper end to the supports 17 which are screwed either to the frame of the tampers in the case of a machine with discontinuous action, are screwed to the satellite in the case of a continuous machine and at their lower end they are connected to the supports 15, both being screwed respectively to the half-frame 22a and the half frame 22b. The cylinders 18 with built-in position sensors perform the training work and are linked at their upper ends to the supports 17 as well as their lower ends are connected to the supports 35 themselves welded respectively to the half-frames 22a and 22b, the supports 35 also making the connection between the two half-frames 22a and 22b through the jack 23, the two ends of which are fixed to the supports 35, which jack 35 acts in extension causing pressure on the two half-frames, so on the four wheels 25 of fig. 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9, the tubes then bear against the rail, thus the spacing variations and thus ensuring perfect centering of the clamp in any situation. Figs. 3 and 4 respectively show the two equal but symmetrical complementary beams 6a and 6b in the folded position, or ready for the walk-up-the-foot, each equipped with a gripping hook 39, whose vertical jack 13 controls the positions " gripping of the rail "or" walk-up-the-foot ", as well as a lifting cylinder 12 with built-in position sensors, which relies on the ballast by means of the foot 10, when the beam (s) ( s) auxiliary (s) work complementarily to the central leveling system (jacks 16 of Figures 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) said foot 10 being placed generally outside the crosspieces. When one or the other or both beams 6a and 6b are in the working position, the auxiliary hooks 39 can move along said beams 6a and 6b by means of the roller screw 4 which additionally provides the force complementary training; which roller screw 4 driven by the hydraulic motor 5 fixed on the support 37, moves the nut which is in the housing 27 which is integral with the guide 48 of the auxiliary hook 39, while the displacement of the lifting cylinders 12 with their foot 10 occurs by coupling them with the coupling 38 to the guide 48 of the auxiliary hook 39 which deposits them in the desired position. Then, the coupling 38 opens by means of the cylinder 41 and the auxiliary hook 39 in its guide 48 can return to the position necessary to hook, for example, the outer rail of the deflection 45 as shown in FIG. . 9. In figs. 5, 6 and 9on sees the clamp with the complementary beam 6a in the folded position (which is used mainly for the walk-up-the-foot) and the complementary beam 6b in the working position, in one of the possible configurations, with the foot 10 supported on the ballast, the auxiliary lift cylinder 12 resting and secured to the foot 10 and the auxiliary hook 39 whose guide 48 shown in Figs. 4, 5 and 9, is coupled by the coupling 38 to the guide 49 of the jack 12, said auxiliary hook 39 having grasped the outer rail 45 of the deflected way of the switch, the lifting (leveling) of all the switch being then possible by the thrust of the cylinder 12 which relies on the ballast by means of the foot 10, then by pulling the leveling jacks 16, the path sensors which equip each cylinder being able to take into account the value of lift and the value of the preset tilt.

The transition from the "step-up-the-foot" position of FIGS. 3 and 4 in the "work" position of FIG. 6 and 9, begins with the actuation of one of the four identical locks 32, two of which are on the supports 21 and two on the supports of the leveling jacks 15, said locks being controlled by the four jacks 14 which lift the selected locking pin 32, after which one of the two selected cylinders 26, respectively fixed laterally on the two half-frames 22a and 22b and previously on the levers 46 respectively welded to the complementary beams 6a and 6b rotates about four the complementary beam which it controls (6a or 6b), which will respectively abut on the half-frames 22a or 22b, the contact having taken place, about twenty-five degrees around the pivot axis 47 (FIG 3). , the male seat 33 is retracted into the female seat 31 so that the vertical forces remain inside the half-frames 22a and 22b and the complementary beams 6a and 6b, then the lever 30 (FIG. position «verro uillage ", receives one of the latch pins 32, controlled by the cylinder 14 concerned, which blocks the complementary beam 6a or 6b or both, in" work "position, this process being strictly identical but reversed for the maneuver of the position "Work" at the "walk-up-foot" position.

An inclinometer 50, mounted for example on the upper plane of the half-frame 22b of Figs. 3, 4 and 5 copies at each step of the tamper, in the case where it is discontinuous, or at each step of its satellite in the case where it is continuous action, the values of the inclinometer of the measuring system of the machine or, in the case where the gripper is driven by the local correction values calculated on the basis of a pre-registration of the track geometry, to copy the values of the control inclinometer of the central control system of the tamper, this by acting on the position sensors incorporated in the cylinders 12, 16, and 18.

The clamp is pulled by the tamper or the satellite of the tamper, this through the telescopic drawbar 8 of Figs. 3, 4 and 5ce which makes it possible to adjust the distance of the clamp with respect to the stuffing units, and this thanks to the jack 7, the connection of the drawbar 8 to the device is ensured by the support with ball 34 screwed to the half-frame 22a on the one hand, and on the other hand at the other end, the support 9 through the coupling 42, which is screwed either to the frame of the machine in the case of a discontinuous tamping machine, or although it is screwed to the satellite in the case of a tamper with continuous action.
