Description

Hand press for the manufacture of bricks or concrete blocks. The object of the invention is a hand press for the manufacture of bricks or concrete blocks, characterized by the combination with a pestle actuated by hand to compress the material from top to bottom in a fixed mold, with a counterweight which tend to raise the pestle when it is. abandoned itself, with demoulding candles actuated from bottom to top:

and. a retainer that maintains. the pestle in intimate contact with the material compressed at the moment. from its arrival to the end of its stroke where the heaving has become sufficient, until the demoulding candles have lifted the brick or the block sufficiently to allow its take-off and complete demoulding without any damage whatsoever.

The attached drawing. shows two embodiments of the object (the invention, given by way of example.

Fig. 7. is a front view, partially in section, of the press; Fig. 2 is a cross section along the line A-A of FIG. 1; Fig. 3 is a section through the press, the left part being cut along line 13 of FIG. 2, and the right part, along line C; Fig. 4 shows a variant of the punch actuation device by the against weights.

In fig. 1 to 3, a is a frame whose uprights. a 'form the guides of the moving parts of the. hurry. b is a fixed table, below which the mold c is carried by cross members d. The bottom of the mold is formed by a plate e, crossed by the mold release candles f, carried by a mobile platform, g.

The latter rests in the rest position on supports j, but can be moved vertically along the same guides al, guiding. the movable cross member ni, carrying the pestle v .. This movement is effected during chi demoulding using a hand lever d fixed on one, <I> 7c1, </I> of two parallel axes <I> k '</I> Ic, rigidly connected by arms <I> l' </I> and of which the second, k, carries,

with the aid of arms i =, fixed on it, carriages <I> h i, </I> pivoted on these arms in it and, which are supported against said platform. The first axis, k1, can slide through slides v fixed on the frame and is in the rest position a raised position, while the second axis, k, can slide in smooth necks made in the jet supports resting on , the resting position at the bottom of those smooth necks.

The demolding candles 7 are distributed uniformly over the surface of the brick and carry on their heads and screwed above a plate corresponding to the key shape of the cross section of the brick; another screenable plate rests on the first one and serves as a support key for the molded brick to be removed by hand with the brick.

By lowering the hand lever, we raise the platform g and the release key stands that it carries. This operation is carried out in two periods, one for take-off, the other for actual demolding. To this end, the hand lever Z pivots on the shaft @ k in the supports <I> j </I> until the shaft k1 turns the base of the slide keys v.

By this movement. we will have lifted the carriages i and thereby also the platform rI to a certain height and we will have produced. takeoff e1; by continuing the movement of the. lever l in the. same direction, the shaft k1 will become the pivot axis and the platform will be raised further until the brick is completely demolded.

The mobile crossmember m carrying the pestle <I> n </I> is suspended by means of a roller q1 from the two pulleys q by a cable p not on these pulleys and attached at both ends to counterweights r, whose upward movement is. limited by key springs s. and this limit must correspond to the limit of the downward movement of the traverse m indicated in the drawing by mixed lines.

The key heaving of the material is done by hand and the pestle is fitted to this. effect. of a handle n1.

The pestle is also used when removing the molded brick. For this purpose. on each key enté the machine a bics t serving as a ratchet is pivoted to the platform rI and rests in the rest position of the platform with an enlarged part against a flat res 2c fixed on the frame,

the hook key-shaped head t1 of the ratchet being held in a slot in the table b. In the position of the cross member neither marked in phantom in fig. 1, the hooks t1 are engaged in spanners ml provided on the mobile crossmember m and keep the pestle n in intimate contact with the molded brick.

When the platform <g rises to take off, the pestle remains attached to it until a retracted part of the pawl arms t comes opposite the springs u. The <B> il </B> hooks no longer held by the ml spouts release their grip and the released pestle rises quickly, under the effect. counterweights r in its upper rest position. This moment coincides with the moment when the movement (the key candle takeoff is complete.

The mold c is of a depth greater than the height of the brick under construction and, the pillory n carries a punch n \, the shape of which corresponds to the walls of the brick to be formed. as seen in dotted lines in the key right part of fig. 3. The mold c, contains key cores intended to form the recesses of the brick. <U> Your </U> interior walls of the mold are slightly conical to facilitate demolding.

To form a brick, the mold c is filled up to the top, then the material it contains is pounded by lowering the pestle n several times in succession using the handle n1. When the punches n = reach the end of their travel, the hooks C engage with the nozzles n? L of the crossbar n, and hook the platform q to the key pestle so that the molded brick is hand held during the take-off, between the punches n - and.

the plate e1 supported by the chan delles <I> f. </I> The lever <I> 1 </I> is therefore actuated and the take-off is produced by a first lifting of the platform fi from to <B >, </B> little pi- ^ r. 5 cm: continue the movement of the lever. the 1) i- Ion unhooks and. quickly rises to its top position. while shit the eban-Belles complete the release of the pounded material.

We remove the molded brick with the plate e1, put a new plate e 'in the mold and the press is ready for a new operation.

The arrangement which has just been described makes it possible to avoid any deformation of the brick on take-off.

The embodiment shown in FIG. 4 comprises another provision for ac- iionnern.ent the pestle n. Instead of pulleys at. cables carrying the counterweights r, the latter are carried here by levers x pivoted in y to the frame and by means of a connecting rod z to a rod 2v connected to the cross member.
