Description

Process for uninterrupted step switching on transformers using a double reactor. It is known to use a double choke coil in step transformers for uninterrupted switching from one stage to the next, d. H. one whose ends can be connected to two adjacent taps of the transformer, while the consumption current is taken from a tap in the middle of the reactor.

The number of switching stages is equal to the number of transformer taps reduced by one. In order to double the number of switching stages without increasing the number of taps, it has been proposed to connect the ends of the double choke coils not only to two adjacent transformer taps, but also both to one and the same tap.

The same effect is achieved by the method according to the invention. According to this, the ends of the double choke coil are not only connected to two adjacent taps of the step transformer, but also to two taps. which are not adjacent, but separated by at least one intermediate tap.

In the drawing, a transformer phase is shown with five taps. In the first switching stage, FIG. 1, ends a and b of the double inductor are connected to taps 1 and 2. The second stage II, Fig. 2, is achieved by switching the coil end b from the tap 2 to 3 tap.

U n) switching stage III, Fig. 3, to keep it, the end a is placed on the tap 2. For the fourth stage, according to FIG. 4, the end b of the coil is connected to the transformer tap 4, and so on.

This circuit has the advantage that the taps never carry more than half the mains current, while in the known method they alternately half and the other carry full mains current and must therefore be rated higher.
