Changeover device in the chuck of thread cutting devices for cutting right-hand and left-hand threads. The subject of the present invention is a novel changeover device in the chuck of thread cutting devices in order to be able to cut right-hand or left-hand threads with the same device, depending on the direction of rotation of the cutting tool or workpiece.
Compared to previously used and known devices of this type, it is characterized by its simplicity when changing over, as well as by its simple design. According to the invention, the Umstelleinriclitung has a four-pivoting bares, acting in two positions, which can be found in both positions and in each position covers one of two stops of the chuck, each of which is free, with a flexible stop of the rotatable Tool holder cooperates.
The subject of the present invention is explained in the drawing in an exemplary embodiment on a thread cutting machine in which the workpiece rotates while the chuck is stationary.
Fig. 1 shows the parts of the machine necessary for understanding the invention, in a longitudinal view; Fig.? is an axial section with a disengaged clutch shown in dash-dotted lines; Figures 3 and 4 are cross sections through the chuck.
The tool sits in a holder which is mounted drelili: ir and acliial displaceably in a two-part chuck which does not rotate during work and which consists of the two ge,:; en- or four-rotatable Parts c and d ordered, of which part c runs out into a hollow bearing journal e.
The holder b is under the action of a Fe of 1, which seeks to pull it inward. To prevent the tool from rotating when cutting, the tool holder b engages with it. a spigot n into a corresponding (> opening o of the inner chuck part c.
