Description

Rechaud for keeping food warm. There are already rechauds for keeping food warm on your dining table, which are heated by an alcohol claim or an electric heater.

Such rechauds are inconvenient because the former require a lot of maintenance and also require a high and therefore not very stable stand, the others are fed by a cable that must be led to the dining table, which can be done at an hourly rate. In the subject matter of the present invention, these vacancies are avoided. As the food warming means an existing aluminum, heat-storing plate is easily seen, which is arranged in a laterally and downwardly heat-insulating support so that one side of the plate is exposed upwards.

In the drawing, two exemplary embodiments of the subject invention are shown in vertical sections.

In the first embodiment according to FIG. 1, the carrier consists of a finite heat-insulating compound 1, for example cork waste, filled sheet metal vessel 2; which is provided with handles 3 and rests on feet -1. The carrier has a recess 5 of zi-lindriselcei # shape, which is formed by the ricigförinigen part ti and the upper arch part 7.

On the bottom part 7 there is a thin asbestos plate 71; Two or three projections R, for example ribs, protrude through holes in the latter. The vessel 2 is seen with a board 9 ver. 10 is a 10-15 inch thick aluminum plate. It is designed as a cylinder whose diameter is a little smaller than that of the cylindrical recess 5 and whose height is equal to that of the carrier without a rim. The plate 10 has two webs 11

Before using the rechaud, the aluminum plate 10 is heated over the Flainine of a gas stove or on a hot stove or in a hot oven to such an extent that it hisses when it comes into contact with a wet object.

Due to its high heat capacity and low emission levels, aluminum is ideally suited as a heat store. As a result, the plate absorbs a great deal of heat, so that it remains effective for a long time without reheating, and slowly releases the heat to the vessels on it so that the food is not overheated. A.

The iron plate would only absorb about half as much heat, and wipe it off too quickly, so that instead of being kept warm, the food would continue to boil, which in many cases spoils the taste. The slow release of heat also forms an effective protection against the bursting of the vessels. Due to its low weight, the plate is easy to transport.

The heated plate is grasped by means of a hook or the like on the webs 11 and inserted into the recess 5, whereupon the carrier is transported to the dining table. Any metal, porcelain, etc. container can now be placed on the plate to keep it warm.

The heat insulating compound 1 and the asbestos plate protect the hot plate from heat transfer to the dining table. The layer of air between the upper bottom part 7 and the plate, as well as the layer of air between the part 6 and the plate, which is created by the plate resting on the projections 8, also forms an insulation.

In Fig. 2, a second embodiment is shown, which makes the previous heating of the aluminum plate on a gas oven or stove unnecessary. The plate 10 is to see ver for this purpose with a heating channel 12 in which an electric heater 13 is arranged. Before use, the plate is heated by switching on electricity, which can be done, for example, by connecting it to the iron connector in the kitchen.

For use, the carrier is transported to the dining table with the heated plate after releasing the electrical connection. The device described is also characterized by great stability because it is not very high and has a total height of 35-d0 mm the desired effect is present.
