Description
Fig. I einen Hammerl#tkolben,
Fig. II einen Spitzlötkolben.

Soldering iron for petrol lamps.
The object of the invention is a soldering iron for gasoline lamps, which is hollow in its parts facing the blowtorch.
The accompanying drawing shows two exemplary embodiments of the subject of the invention, namely:
Fig. I a hammer piston,
Fig. II a pointed soldering iron.
The soldering iron A shown in FIG. I has the shape of a hammer, the horizontal part of which facing the blowtorch is hollowed out, while the front vertical part is solid. For the exit of the heating flame blown into the cavity from the rear, the rear horizontal part of the piston has outlet openings 1 which open laterally.
The soldering iron is held on the blowtorch by the carrier B, which is fastened detachably to the flame tube C of the blowtorch by means of an adjusting screw L.
In the example in FIG. II, the piston A1 is designed as a pointed piston and its rear part is also hollow and provided with lateral outlet openings 1.
The two described soldering irons according to the invention have the following advantages over known soldering irons. On the one hand, the cavity of the flame offers a large heating surface, which saves fuel. Then there is no direct heating of the objects to be soldered by the heating flame and the tip of the piston is protected from soot formation. A weight reduction is also achieved through the hollowing out.
PATENT CLAIM: Piston for petrol lamps, marked because the part of the lamp is hollowed out towards the turned.
SUBSTANTIAL CLAIM: L # t piston according to patent claim, characterized in that its hollowed-out part has laterally opening outlets for the heating flame.
