<tb> première <SEP> forme <SEP> d'exécution, <SEP> constituée <SEP> par
<tb> une <SEP> machine <SEP> à. <SEP> peigner <SEP> les <SEP> matières <SEP> textiles,
<tb> (le <SEP> la <SEP> ramie <SEP> ou <SEP> de <SEP> la <SEP> soie <SEP> par <SEP> exemple;

As a whole, the machine that my <B> a </B> fig. 1 has been known for many years <under the name Brenier, Neyret combing machine at: Cie. or just Brenier.
It imports a ta = mbour 3 with horizontal axis tal, i, oni-laughing slowly in bearings which are carried by a frame 1 and provided with sets of members (the fixing 4 securing lïag (i (-ltes 5, intended to receive the textile material to be treated that an operator located on a platform 2 places on them.
The drum 3 is set in motion by an art <B> Y </B>) re <B> ï </B> at the mw tri -a belt 8, a pulley 9, a i-is saris end 10, of a wheel! r Helical toothing and (The second screw -saris end <B> Il, </B> engaged with a toothing liélicoïchh_ of this drum.
On either side of it are rotating cylinders i2, 13, provided (the teeth. 14, 15 serving to pee. @ Rier the, n-side textile. The teeth are fixed to a lining in a more or less elastic material, rubber, leather, fabric for example, so that they can give way slightly if they meet an obstacle. One of these cylinders, 12, is wedged on the shaft 7, set in motion by belt, the other, 13, on a shaft 20 also set (-il movement by belt.
As the (: slow 1IÎ, 15 can only yield a little when they encounter an obstacle, they naturally tear from the tamh (-): rr 3 all tangled balls or tangles of the textile material, thus unnecessarily removing good fibers of this drum, that is to say (those fibers which have an appropriate length and quality, for the future use of the treated material.
This drawback is avoided in the following way in this embodiment of the invention (fig. 1): The frame 1 has above the cylinder 13 two state consoles bearing bearings where an arbi turns, e 7.7 , set in motion by means of a belt 7.8 and a pulley 21 by a pulley <B> 1.9 </B> of the shaft 20. On this shaft 17 are wedged two braces 16.
At the ends (the arms of the crosses 16 are found supports in the form of bearings on which four shafts 40 rest (see Figs. 2 and 3), each provided with a key 41 housed in a cavity 411 and preventing them from. turn thus (drawn from a cylinder 22 having comb teeth.
The cylinder 22 is constituted by a series of disks 42, 47 idle on the shaft 4.0 and each forming a member as mentioned in the introduction. The discs 42, 47 are kept between a loose collar 45 supported by a ball bearing 46 against a collar 43 keyed <B> to </B> the shaft 40 in 44, and a ta raudé plate 55 screwed on a part. threaded 40 and fitted with a lock nut 56.
They are hollow and contain all, except the one on the right, trays 48 which can slide axially on 40, but participate in its rotation, thanks to. keys, 491 engaged in a common longitudinal groove 50 of 40 and held by screws 49. The plates 48 tend to be moved axially by springs 53, taking. support on the discs 42 and are provided (the rings 51, in fiber for example, which are freely mounted in grooves 52 and through the intermediary (which they are in contact with the disc 42 located to their right; between the plate 55 and the first disc 42 on the left also has such a ring 51.
By screwing this plate 55 more or less, the rings 51 are applied with a greater or lesser force on the discs 42 which must consequently overcome a greater or lesser friction if they have to turn on the shaft 40, consequently. of an obstacle that their teeth encounter. The springs 53 serve to. automatically compensate for the wear of the rings 51. They are not fixed either to the discs 42 or to the plates 48. Each of them can thus rotate independently (the others.
The discs 42 have an annular rim 62 of rounded cross section serving to partially mask the gaps existing between them and to prevent tow or dust from entering in very large quantities. If these rims accidentally come into contact with the neighboring disk I \ w, 47, the friction is only low due to their shape.
The discs 22 can have for example a diameter of 70 to 100 mm, a width (the 12.5 mm, the cylinder described by the ends of their teeth, when they rotate with the crosses 16 around the axis of the shaft 17, a diameter of 450 to 500 min, the cylinders 12, 13, a diameter (the 450 to 500 nim.
A brush roller 35 is idle on a shaft 36, between the shaft 17 and the cylinder 13. Its bristles are in sufficient contact with the teeth of the latter so that it rotates at about the same speed as. 13.
A second brush roller, 38, mounted on a shaft 39 placed under the cylinder 13 is used to compress the textile material lifted to the cylinder 13 onto the latter.
<B> The </B> operation of this form (Execution is as follows: The operator in 2 places the textile material to be treated on the rods 5 as they pass slowly. <lifting it. Thanks to the rotation of the drum 3 and to that of the cylinders 22 with the shaft 17 iiu- turn of the geometrical axis (the latter, it undergoes a preliminary combing before reaching the cylinder 13 then to cylinder 12.
If that of the cylinders 22 must be momentarily engaged with the textile material (the 3 meets an abnormal resistance during its rotation with the shaft 17, its discs overcome the friction opposing their rotation around its own axis and yield, which decreases the force exerted on the material and prevents good fibers from being torn off unnecessarily from 3, because they are in relation with entanglements. This drum 3 rotates slowly enough for the cylinder 22 can still act on the material of 3 due the previous cylinder 22 has already processed.
The bristles of the brush roller 35 remove the waste from the cylinders 22 to deposit them on the cylinder 13. The latter performs a second. peigriabe, has - what follows that produced by cylinder 12.
Disc 47 could. also be set at. the ring 45.
According to fig. 4, the various discs l 2 are each connected by a spring 50 working i. the twist to a collar 43 ', the' turning with the shaft 40. The collar 43 'is joined to it by a key which passes through them both. As for the 4S 'collars they are. provided (the keys lo-'ées in a longitudinal groove 50 'of 40, so that they can move axially on 40.
On the last disc 42 on the left, a plate 55 ′, presses by means of a bearing your balls comprising two tracks 59, 60 and balls 61. The contact surface between the collars 48 ′ and the sections 42 is small enough that there is not a lot of friction there; this can nevertheless be further reduced by any known device.
From fig. 5, the ends \ N9 of the arms (the crosspieces 16 of fie. 1 present bearings 25 on which four shafts 30 can turn, each provided with a cylinder having the comb teeth.
The, anise in rotation (the these shafts 40 at the turn (their own axis however requires a certain force by the fact that the shells 30 of the bearings 25, in anti-friction metal for example, are applied to them with a certain adjustable pressure d 'elsewhere. For this purpose, one (the shells 30 is carried by the arm 29 of the spider <B> 16, </B> while (read the other is, housed in a part 26, on the one hand, articulated in 2% on the arm 29, on the other hand, connected by a bolt 32 and a nut 31 to a side spout 28 of 29. Between the part 26 and the washer of the nut 31 is interposed a spring 33 .
By bringing the part 26 closer or less to the spout 28, the two shells, 30 can be applied with a force greater or less than 40.
The cylinders 12 and 13 of FIG. 1, likewise q (ie the cylinders 22 can be arranged as described with reference to Figs. 4 and. 5.
The second embodiment (fig. 6) coml> orl, e a large rotating drum it carried 11-a1 an ai-read 72 rotating in bearings- of a frame "r0. It is provided with teeth. secured by means of a somewhat elastic material, leather, rubber, this fabric for example, so that they can give way slightly.
It is covered at its upper part with a guard cover 74, the ends 75, <B> 7 </B> 51 of which are connected by hinges to the central part. An endless belt 74, passing over rollers 78, 77 serves to bring the textile material to open to cylinders 7M #, 80 provided with teeth, arranged one above the other.
On the other side of this drum 'i1 is a grooved roller: 82 serving to pass the open textile material over an endless belt 84 carried by rollers 83, 87, the second is integral with a control shaft 88 .
Under the cylinder 80 is a brush holder 89 wedged on a shaft 90 and used to clean it.
The toothed cylinders '79, 80 are arranged (as shown in fig. 2 and 3. They have by and: erulao a width of 90 cm and their sections, a width of, 2.5 cm ..
The operation of this form of execution is as follows: 1.'olf "r at.eur spreads the textile material to work on the belt 74 which brings it to the cylinders 79, 80. The teeth of these this comes into contact with it, in order to make it move forward or to maintain it so that the slow 'M (read drum '71 can act appropriately on it.
These latter (slow 73 seize it, tear it from between the cylinders 79, 80 so that it sinks between them and remains. Once a certain cruantity (the matter has thus been accumulated on the drum, the layer which it forms is cut transversely and one is lifted (the ends of this layer, which is slipped between the grooved roller 82 and the conveyor. These two members separate it; from ' 71 as it turns.
If there is in the material arriving at the cylinders 19, 80 an entangled part opposing an abnormal resistance to its tearing by the drum 71, their discs may give way, preventing it from being suddenly torn off.
The means employed so that the rollers can turn around their own: rxe and. in one block or in sections when they: encounter abnormal resistance may differ from those indicated. to the drawing.
Teeth used for treatment. of the textile material instead of being carried by (the cylinders or discs, can be carried by a () ii more, their soiled c'liairiës = end for example.
The machine can be used to process textile materials other than ramie or la. silk.
