Description

Trieuse.

Fig. 1 en est une vue latérale; fig.

Sorter. The object of the present invention is a sorter particularly useful for separating slag from the combustible materials contained therein.

The accompanying drawing, given by way of example, shows one embodiment. Fig. 1 is a side view; fig. 2, a vertical section along the line A-B of fig. 1; fig. 3, a top view; fig. 4 and 5 represent details on a larger scale.

The sorter shown comprises a frame supporting a container 2 whose upper bottom has a circular opening 3 of diameter corresponding to that of the lower opening of the truncated cone 4 placed above the container and which is consolidated by fixed supports 5. to the frame 1. The container 2 is connected to the truncated cone 4 by a tight and easily removable seal 6. t1 inside the truncated cone 4 is a cone 7 which is integral with the frame and independent of the truncated cone, but concentric with that -this.

On the upper edge of the truncated cone 4 is fixed a circular collar of angular section 4 '; this collar carries on the outside a ring 8, fixed on it, which serves as a housing for balls 9, on which rolls a circular collar 10 of transverse section at right angles, which surrounds the above-mentioned upper edge and which is integral, by four uprights 11 arranged on its conference ring, with a circular groove 13 intended to receive an endless rope 14. The latter is actuated by a pulley 15 fixed to the frame 1 making it possible to print on the collar 10 titi movement of rotation around of the collar 4 'fixed to the truncated cone 4.

In the vertical part of the collar 10 is formed one or more notches 17 (fig. 3) and around said collar is placed a fixed funnel 18 carried by the frame 1 and that, in order not to overload the drawing, we do not indicated that in fig. 1 and in dotted lines. The lower opening 19 of this funnel is located on the side of the sorter.

The axis 16 carries a paddle wheel 20 which can turn around it, that is to say a rotational movement obtainable by the fact that it is provided at its outer periphery with a groove 21 in which is engaged an endless rope 22 passing over it. a pulley 23. By known means, the grooves 21 and 13 are driven by two endless ropes, the speed of rotation of each of them varying with the quality of the product to be sorted.

The wheel 20 has a solid core 24; its blades 25 have in section the shape shown in FIG. 4; we notice that they are almost horizontal in their lower part in order to always contain a certain quantity of product. They are even in number and are unique in that half of them have a lug 26 at their upper end; the number of lugs may however vary according to the speed with which the product must fall into the blades.

When the wheel 20 turns, the lugs 26 come in turn into contact with the curtain 19 of a counterweight shutter placed at the lower orifice of a container 28 containing the slag to be sorted. For clarity of the drawing, said shutter and container 28 have only been shown in dotted lines and in FIG. 1 only. As can be seen in fig. 2, the wheel 20 is higher in the middle than on its periphery. Finally, a nozzle 29 makes it possible to send pressurized water into the container 2, the pressure having to vary with the quality of the product to be sorted.

The operation of the device is as follows - it is based on the fact that among the slag the combustible parts are less dense than the others.

The slag to be sorted having been placed in the receptacle 28, pressurized water is sent through the nozzle 29 into the receptacle 2 and the funnel 4 until the flow of water is established on the collar 10. It is done. then turn the collar 10 and the paddle wheel 20 whose lugs come in turn to open the shutter 19, with a counterweight, which closes the lower orifice of the container 28, this shutter automatically closing under the action of its counterweight 30 as soon as its curtain is no longer in contact with a lug.

As a result, there is an intermittent discharge of slag from the upper part of the impeller 20 and, this slag filling the vanes, pushes by their weight those deposited in the vanes near the surface of the water. contained in funnel 4; they are therefore spread gently on the surface of the water.

The slag denser than water - descends immediately into funnel 4 and, from there, reaches the container 2. The combustible products, lighter, float on the other hand and are carried by the current of the water which s' escapes through the notch 17 of the flange 10. This causes the combustible materials contained in the slag to be directed towards the edge of the flange 10 and escape with the water through the notch 17. They then arrive in the funnel 18 and can be harvested as they leave it.

The sorter enables quick and economical sorting of slag.
