Schuhwerk.
Footwear. In the footwear forming the subject of the present invention, the rear end of the heel is connected to the heel end of the upper by a fastener attached to your heel which has a bent; has up to the brand sole in the upper shoe penetrating part. The aim of the invention is to create an intimate connection between the rear end of the heel and the rear end of the upper, without increasing the manufacturing costs of the footwear in any appreciable manner.
1 shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention in a side view, partially in section; Fig. 2 shows the heel fit of a heel provided with the fastener; Fig. 3 is a diagram of the fastener; Fig. 4 shows the heel seat of an upper shoe and the holes used to receive the prongs of the fastener.
Shoes provided with wooden heels usually include a heel cap 1, the inwardly turned flange of which is connected to the insole 2. The heel of the insole 2 is reinforced by a covering 3 made of synthetic leather or the like. The outsole 4 is trimmed so that it has a corresponding shape to the heel seats 6 of the paragraph 7. The rear surface of the heel is curved so that the rear edge of the tread 8 is in front of the rearward end of the shoe heel.
With regard to the curvature of the paragraph, the paragraph is usually fixed by screws or nails 9 (Fig. 1.). Obviously, these screws cannot be screwed into the rear end of the heel, so that the heel of the shoe that is in use tries to detach itself from the latter. This' Cbelstand is avoided by connecting the outermost rear wärtigen end of the paragraph with the heel seats of the shoe by means of a fastener according to the invention.
The example of the fastener shown consists of a plate, the body 10 of which is fastened behind the screws and nails 9 by a screw 10a to the heel seat of the heel. Two prongs or extensions 12 are formed on the body 10. Each of the prongs 12 includes a part 11 which forms an obtuse angle with the body 10. The prongs 12 are approximately the same as the body 10.
The shoe has openings or holes serving to receive the prongs 12, which can be produced by a tool designed to match the shape of the fastener.
This tool is driven near the rear end of the shoe into the outsole, into the upper leather turn-up, into the flange of the heel cap and into the reinforcement lining of the insole so that the ends of the prongs 12 lie between the insole and the reinforcement lining 3 and Establish an intimate connection between the heel cap and the heel end of the upper.
The prongs of the fastener screwed onto the heel are inserted into the holes in the shoe. An adhesive applied between your heel and the heel seat is then allowed to harden, and finally the heel is fastened to the upper shoe in the usual way by screws or nails 9.
