Fliegen- bezw.
Anbrigung an hochgelegenen.

Fly or Insect killer. The previously known fly or. Insect killers, which consisted of flat cardboard or felt discs, which were impregnated with a poison, require the pad to absorb moisture in order to be effective, otherwise they dry out too quickly, so that the flies cannot absorb the poison. In addition, you have to set up these so-called fly plates with consideration of the required, the moistening liquid-containing base flat on the table or the like, so that they are often annoying in the way.
In some cases, they do not achieve their purpose because they are placed flat and are not easily sought out by the flies, so that they require particularly sharp attractants and stimulants in order to induce the flies to seek out these traps.
This disadvantage is avoided by one other known type of fly killers, namely the coated with glue, so-called fly bags and fly ties. These can be both set up and hung up and due to their towering shape. respectively Attachment at high altitude.

<tb> your <SEP> (llicrflüclie <SEP> for <SEP> the <SEP> @ ütun. @ - <SEP> mül <SEP> faiy effect can come into play, and that when it becomes dry by stepping back the mass of the outer wire mesh or other covering, the flies can no longer get hold of the poison.
The subject of the invention differs from these aforementioned devices in that the fly, respectively. In sektentöter is formed as a body made of absorbent mass which is large in relation to the surface.
The advantages of this flycatcher over the previously known flycatchers are as follows: The new fly killer, in contrast to the known fly dishes described above, has the advantage that it forms a body with a larger mass in relation to the surface, so that it forms a larger amount Liquid that he has absorbed by immersing in some liquid, such as water or the like, as a result of a surface curled in relation to its mass, lasts significantly longer than the flat plate; Therefore, this new body does not need a saucer or the like, which contains liquid to keep the body moist.
In contrast to the fly plate, this body can therefore also be hung freely, for example on the middle handle of lighting domes, pull lamps and the like, since it, after it is sufficiently moistened once ge, BEZW. Has absorbed liquid, this moisture holds long enough to keep the toxin on the outer surface of the body for the flies to absorb.
The fly plates described at the beginning also have the disadvantage that the liquid, which must be in the pad to keep the plate moist, dissolves the toxin from the plate, so that the toxin dries up with the water on the pad. This sucking out of the poison carrier is avoided in the subject of the invention in that the new body is immersed in water for only a few seconds, until it has soaked up, in order to then be hung or put up.
On the other hand, you can easily give your body a pleasing shape and a pleasing appearance, so that it does not look ugly and can be set up anywhere without having to have the large size of the glue-coated fly cones, since the flies or insects only sit on the body for a short time and fly away after ingesting the toxin. In particular, however, there is no disadvantage compared to the fly tapes which can otherwise also be hung at effective Stel len that the contact with the device is annoying due to the glue spread due to the sticking.
With regard to the above-mentioned devices in which the porous mass is taken up by a suspension body or support body, it should be noted that, for example, one has become known in which the poison carrier consists of a sheet that is between the perforated The bottom of the container and a sponge. So the flies or the like should come up through the openings in the bottom of the container through all of the paper kept moist by the sponge.
However, this effect will not occur, since the flies are known to strive to stay on the outermost edges of hanging bodies, so that in the majority of cases they will leave the container again without being at all with the poisonous insert to be moved. However, this effect is sufficient for the subject matter of the invention, because the whole body is itself poisonous.
Furthermore, if the sponge dries out in the known Vorrich device, the leaf insert, which forms the poisonous carrier, naturally also collects as a result of drying out, as a result withdraws from the Durehbreehuligen of the soil and is no longer accessible. (Dance differently with the subject of the invention. Even in the dry state, it remains effective as a poison carrier, since the own moisture that the flies use when sucking replaces the original moisture of the poison carrier.
On the other hand, a flycatcher of this known type has received the training that the poison carrier lies under the perforated lid of a sheet metal container which holds the liquid and a wick. But even this device has the disadvantage mentioned above that only a very small part of the surface of the body is made available for the purpose of showing killing curses, since the poisonous carrier, to which the moisture is fed through the wick, is under you net-like lid is so that only a small fraction of the surface of the entire device, consisting of container, lid, etc.
is made usable and this small fraction is again reduced by the covering of part of the area by the grille of the lid and is even impaired in its effect with respect to the rest of the remaining areas because in many cases the flies sit on the grille without to touch the poisonous carrier underneath
With the subject of the invention, however, when the same is in a hanging position, the entire outer surface can come into effect. The body itself acts as a sponge, and the absorption of poisonous substances is therefore significantly greater, since the entire mass of the body is soaked through with it. When moistened, the toxin penetrates with the moisture from the inside to the outside surface, so that such a device can also be used significantly longer than the previously known thin discs.
The external shapes that can be given to the objects of the invention are very different, but it is always essential that the body forms a large mass in relation to the surface so that the body can absorb as much moisture as possible and hold it firmly for a long time. Tests have shown that a body with a curved surface, for example a spherical shape made of filter material or the like, certainly fulfills the desired purpose.
This embodiment is shown in the accompanying drawing in Fig. 1 in cross section, and in Fig. 2 in plan. The porous hemispherical body a made of, for example, filter material is, in the main axis, of large mass in relation to the surface, in order to absorb a corresponding amount of the liquid which the impregnated toxin is kept moist.
About the tendency of the flies to stick to the lower surfaces of objects hanging in the room, such as lampshades. Dome edges, reflex plates and the like to set, to make usable in the present case, the shape of Fig. 3 and 4 is selected, in which the round disc e, which according to your a ge signed height arrow d has a considerable thickness, on its lower surface with a ring projection e running all around is provided, which all the point of attachment on the Seheibe c, thus starting with f, with considerable strength, gradually thinner towards the lower edge g, so that the moisture sucked in by the disc c is this ring e constantly will share and so the flies that settle here according to their habit absorb the toxin in order to be killed by it.
The body can also be given the curved shape and color of an apple h according to FIG. 5, or a pear k according to FIG. 6, which, like the devices described above, are optionally provided with a hanging device b.
Fig. 7 shows: in a cross-section, a filling form. where the body has the towering shape of a pyramid In
which is provided with an essential recess to give the otherwise massive body on the foot rings -reniigellcle stability, so that the body in each of the conceivable embodiments, some of which are shown above, can of course be so hollow can, if the body forms a large mass in relation to the surface, wel che ensures the moisture retention of the outer surface.
