Cet avantage devient essentiel s'il s'agit d'une boucle souple élastique, l'élasticité con tinuant son effet à l'intérieur-#du manchon dans toute sa longueur. D'autre part, sur le corps même du dispositif, on peut effectuer une liaison très solide quelconque: fente pour l'introduction d'un nceud, pattes relevées puis rabattues, crochet relevé, pièce supplémen taire adaptée etc., car quels que soient les défauts: aspérités, parties coupants, facilité de décrochage etc. des moyens employés, ces défauts disparaissent dans la cuvette formée par les deux coquilles gui, encastrées dans les branches du disque;
Device used to connect and fix the two ends of the. loop of a stocking clip. We know that in a suspender the connection between the elastic fabric and the stocking clamp is secured by means of a metal support comprising a ring of appropriate shape where the elastic fabric is taken, this ring being adapted to a part. metal after which freezes the loop intended to receive the button covered at the bottom.
In stock clamps known hitherto, this support has great drawbacks, because it is the crimping of the loop itself which must support all the traction during use of the clamp, and as this crimping cannot withstand use for long, we soon have an unusable stocking clamp.
Known crimps also have the drawback of offering metal parts that are poorly adjusted and more or less well joined by the working of the tool or after use when the pulling of the loop has done its job. These metal parts in contact with the stocking deteriorate it or are a nuisance for the person wearing the garters. These fastening sy stems also affect the rubber which can be cut during assembly and after a short time the crimping opens up, the loop deteriorating on the metal parts is quickly cut and can detach from the support making the 'entire clamp unusable.
On the other hand, by pulling on one of the branches of the buckle, the latter tears from its housing, a simple pressure holding it in place by damaging it. This deterioration is great, because in the work of the installation, the branches come to be cut on the edges of the two crimped parts, places where the metal cannot be folded back on itself. The same drawbacks occur for other known assemblies for any loop, by the very fact that the limitation of the opening of the loop is obtained by any pressure, there is rapid deterioration in use. and lack of solidity.
The object of the invention is a fixing device used to connect and spin the two ends of the loop of a stocking clamp and such as 12s drawback: mentioned above no longer exist.
One embodiment is shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing in which: FIG. 1 is a view of part of it; Fig. 2 is a view of the same part to which the flexible loop has been adapted; Figs. 3 and 4 are side views resp. in plan of two other parts; Fig. 5 is an overview thereof, the device being fully assembled.
In fig. 1, the arm a is the part to which the elastic fabric of the sock clamp fits, the opening b will be used for the passage of the button holder tie rod. To the ring a is linked, by means of two arms o and _ï and a hinge b2, a disc c in which are stamped diametrically and raised two small tabs cl and vs-. Likewise, the disc c is integral with an edge e, f, at least the lower edge of which is folded back.
As shown in fig. 2, the buckle is attached as follows: The contiguous ends of a frame la, with which the flexible buckle is provided are secured therein in the direction indicated by the arrow between the raised tongues cl, c2, which are then folded firmly to keep the ends of said frame placed between them, then the flexible loop is put in place by bending the edge f and by sliding the two branches of the loop between the raised tabs ùa and 7a of the border which are then folded back.
The border is proportioned and formed in such a way that it has neither externally nor internally cutting parts and that the sleeve obtained by the folding of the legs m and it cannot press the loop.
A shell i (shown in fig. 3) provided with a rim in which are notched two notches j for the arms o and p and a notch j 1 for the neck q connecting the disc c with the edge ef is then embedded in the back of fig. 2 in parts o, p, q of disk c, while a second shell, 1, indicated by fig. 4 is housed on the face of FIG. 2 between the raised edge of the shell i by placing a notch 11 above the two branches of the buckle g. The part l will be fixed to the device by crimping the raised edge of the shell i.
The finished assembly is shown in fig. fi where the fixing of the button holder rod r is indicated.
In this device, the solidity of the wise setting is perfect, because the force is no longer supported by the setting, but by the device itself, which makes it possible to use for the setting of a thinner metal resulting in a saving of metal and ease of manufacture. This device allows the two branches of a loop to be brought together in a conical part in the form of a sleeve leaving sufficient mobility to the two branches and only limiting the opening of the loop without possible damage, the ends of the sleeve being folded back on themselves. , and can exert only pressure on the buckle.
This advantage becomes essential in the case of an elastic flexible loop, the elasticity continuing its effect inside the sleeve throughout its length. On the other hand, on the body of the device itself, any very solid connection can be made: slot for the introduction of a knot, tabs raised and then folded down, hook raised, additional suitable piece etc., because whatever defects: roughness, sharp parts, ease of release, etc. of the means employed, these defects disappear in the bowl formed by the two mistletoe shells, embedded in the branches of the disc;
come to imprison by crimping the whole while amplifying the solidity of the fixing and by presenting only perfectly rounded parts. The fixing of the buckle to the support body being independent of the crimping of the two shells, the manufacture is simplified and it is possible to obtain the certainty that any manufactured part is very solid, and the crimping cannot withstand any effort by a pull on the buckle.
It is easy to realize that with this system it is possible to securely fix the ends of any loop and consider fixing a flexible loop or a rigid loop covered with rubber, fabric or other materials useful for the nondeterioration of the stockings.
